From the 1970s until the late 1990’s Venezuela was the wealthiest country in South America, under a stable democratic system. Since then, under the authoritarian regimes of Victor Chavez and the election-stealing, drug-dealing, human trafficking, Marxist narco-terrorist Victor Maduro, Venezuela is a dumpster fire.

The corrupt media and radical Left are clutching their pearls claiming President Trump will start a war with Venezuela. Here’s a newsflash – the war has already started by Maduro via his role as leader of the Cártel de Los Soles, who are hell-bent on flooding the US with deadly drugs, human trafficking, and money laundering.

As horrific as the influx of drugs that have killed thousands of Americans, Venezuela has established itself as an operation hub for other bad actors who want to take our country down. Besides the thirst that Russia and China have to set up shop in the southern hemisphere, terrorist groups like Hezbollah have cultivated significant networks and influence in Venezuela.

Building on longstanding connections with Iran, the Venezuelan government has created an environment that allows Hezbollah to maintain active cells engaging in drug trafficking, money laundering, and illicit smuggling. This is literally our own backyard. And as James “Monroe Doctrine” would say, it’s our hemisphere.

That region is not only a transit area for the illegal drug trade, flooding the U.S., it represents a contentious powerhouse combination of massive oil resources. Americans must face the fact that the world runs on oil: we live in a complete, comprehensive oil economy.  Oil runs the world.  And if you run out, you’re out of business. That means collapse in transportation, logistics, electricity, defense, manufacturing, agriculture and even consumer goods.

Beyond that, it is an America First priority to secure the Western Hemisphere – particularly Latin American and the Caribbean. Bad players, whether nations, terror organizations, or transnational criminal syndicates must understand that they have no place in the Western Hemisphere if they continue to undermine the United States. If we do end up taking military action against Maduro, we’re not starting a war.  We’re ending one!

“He trains my hands for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.” Psalm 18:34

The Biden administration did nothing to stop the influx of illegals crossing our border. They did not stop the cartels from preying on weak and continue to get drugs into the U.S. Maduro is just another slimeball who cares nothing for people and should be taken out. Trump is cleaning up this mess Biden allowed and
Democrats continue to complain about over reaction to this and many other problems they created. Maduro and cartels care nothing about people just like Biden acted when he should have addressed this and so many other problems he allowed. Thank you Mr. Trump for your continued effort to make all countries safe .

President Trump holds the cards in this situation. He can use diplomatic pressure or our military to oust Maduro. Either way one runs the risk of someone like Maduro or even worse rushing in to replace him. Stopping the drugs that are killing our youth from coming into our country is most important. Keep blowing the drug boats out of the water!

In the best of all possible worlds, he should be captured, jailed and tried by the people of Venezuela. Why? You can be 1000% sure that he looted the country and his assets are stored all over the world. Part of his punishment should be lifetime in prison AND having all of his assets tracked down and confiscated.

I see that the bulk of my fellow senior citizens want him to benefit from the assets he has looted from his fellow countrymen by forcing him to quit, flee and enjoy the largesse he’s stolen over the years in power. That’s is NOT justice. That’s like a pardon AND without any penalty whatsoever.

Of course this will never happen. All of our tyrants (like Obama, Bribem, Fauci) get to retire will full benefits and libraries being built in their names.

Venezuela (Maduro) has worked with the Mexican Cartel and the CCP to create and profit from deadly drugs as they’ve pumped these poisons into the U.S. — I’ve heard it said that if the people in the U.S. would just stop using the drugs, then the drug imports would dry-up and come to a screeching halt. Its not that simple, some of these drugs are so addictive, that it only takes one time for an individual to knowingly or unknowingly take the drug and become addicted. I believe a Seal Team should go in and arrest Maduro and that he should be put on trial for crimes against humanity.

During the autopen administration 387,000 Americans died from drug overdoses due to the poison coming into the United States from Venezuela and other bad actors.
That’s 5 times the number of U.S. soldiers killed in the Viet Nam war.
Yes, we are at war, it’s about time we act like it.

A huge point in all of this is being missed. Sure, we want the dictator gone. Sure we want the drugs to stop flowing north at all costs. But the rarely spoken reason for the strategic position of our fleet off shore is to protect Guyana. Guyana is the next door neighbor to Venezuela. They are a very vulnerable third-world country who actually likes us. Guyana has a recently discovered oil reserve equal to or greater than Saudi Arabia. Maduro has his sights on that oil reserve. THAT we must not allow to happen.

Since Maduro is owned by the cartels – probably a member himself – like Putin he will never negtiate a resolution. He can only be removed by force – the means that force takes should be up to Trump & the US military. Feeding America’s drug habit is a form of terrorism whether anyone wants to admit it or not, and should be treated as that without a second thought.

No bleeding hearts over this guy, diplomacy does not work with people like this. If he steps down and walks away then he will just do some other atrocity or start over again just like Hamas. Sorry to say these people will never change and need to be dealt with harshly.

I wonder how many people on this site making comments are card carrying AMAC members, based on the comments that I have been reading? Anyway…

If you had children who chose to do drugs, and many do, and because of ONE night partying they got a hold of fentanyl laced drug and were all “dead” by morning (remember those 4 or 5 KC Chief fans frozen outside a few years back?) Fentanyl…What would you think (?) besides it being your worst fear ever, leaving you emotionally wrecked and angry? You might ask Why is this being allowed to happen right?

Thank God, we, You have a President who has many families complaining and asking this same question of this epidemic happening and the supply line (originating in CCP land) coming to South American countries that are using various resources to get those Lethal drugs here into our Homeland (drugs that are more lethal, leaving more Americans dead, than the bullets flying on the battlefields have?)…what course of action would you, as president of the United States of America, use to end this? Go Trump and DoD and DHS!

Add to this this dictator who stole his election, the used an Iron fist to any who questioned him with and by military force. Venezuela once a crowning jewel of the Western Hemisphere reduced to rubble, by Communism to a poverty stricken, CCP and Drug cartel run nation attacking America. It was Obama and Lyin Biden who revived their power, buying their oil and stopping our drilling, and then “Open Border” policies, which they by-passed our legislation (We the People). Now Trump has to clean everything coming from there that is lethal, that the Left, they have done to their own Americans. (D) the party of death and despair.

I’m concerned about post-Maduro Venezuela. Regime change is a tricky business, and who/what fills the void can be problematic. Given our history in these situations, I prefer we take a lower profile approach.

Maduro is nothing more than a drug dealer controlled by the cartels. These criminals don’t negotiate. Money and fear dictate their lives. Taking out their transportation and other resources makes it more difficult and expensive to inject these poisons on Americans. This evil will always be present as long as the addictions exist. Creating obstacles and eliminating easy access is worth the efforts. Meantime Maduro must go!

Knowing the American media, and those who own it, and the people who silently run America from behind the scenes (some in plain sight), I’m always going to be skeptical of any military actions. HOWEVER, I do believe those same people always play both sides of the aisle, and in this case, the possible looming war effort to oust Maduro.
At this point, it’s probably best to keep the course we’re taking, keep taking out the drug boats which is real due to the efforts of our intelligence expertise throughout the drug world, and the rising number of deaths in the USA from those drugs.
Maduro starved about 45% of his people, so it’s time to starve him. That would work. There are people in his command, some rather close to him, that despise him, so he already feels threatened. He just doesn’t know how to react to a US president that cares about the US like Trump does.

Maduro has shown over time he does not respond to “nice”. He responds to shows of force. With Russia and China involved as Maduro’s puppeteers, however, we have to be careful how we act.

I am not opposed to a concentrated airstrike similar to what we did in concert with Israel in Iran. I would do it to take out Maduro specifically, and pave the way to truly free elections and ultimately a democratic strategic partner (Maria Machado, I hope).

Venezuela is a world player due to its oil riches that Maduro and his military oligarchy have stolen from its people. I wonder if dem politicians have been receiving kickbacks from the Maduro government to “mind their own business”?

As a nation, we must stop the flow of deadly drugs entering this country by any means at our disposal. Too many have died from drug usage.

Since President Trump has closed our border and with the help of ICE, DOJ and the Military, the cartels are trying “new” ways to keep their illegal enterprises profiting. The Dem’s and the media have tried to put a spin on this that “President Trump is wanting to start a war.” I have to then ask, “What is wrong with a war on drugs entering this country?”

To me its very simple, drugs equal’s large sums of money, money corrupts. The cartels have controlled the governments in so many countries, what would make anyone think that some of those in our government aren’t being paid off (controlled) by the same cartels? As we have heard for so long, “Follow the money.” I believe those who are up in arms over what President Trump is doing are possibly more concerned about padding their pockets than saving lives.

Just my thoughts – food for thought for others.

President Trump is doing exactly what he right thing with regard to Maduro. No need to escalate at this time, but it’s vital to our national security interests to get back to the Monroe Doctine in the Weetern Hemisphere. We have to blunt the CCP s efforts to expand influence in our backyard.

Maduro needs to be ousted.
Praying Trump, Hegseth and the advisors all determine that their steps are the result of trusting in the will of God, the One who puts leaders in power ( for His plans and purposes) and takes them down. God is certainly showing people the result of following the lusts of the flesh and desire for power that is completely ungodly.
We people tend to think politically and that whoever it is in office that we voted for is correctly executing the powers of that office. I continue to pray for their wisdom, and the ability/desire to humbly submit their will to God’s will, in which His timing is perfect. Sadly, everyone does what seems right in their own minds. That’s why we are where we are…living in this fallen world. Maranatha!!!

A show of force is not enough. Take out the storage & facory facilities that receive and process the chemicals from China. Bomb the port(s) that launch ths drug boats. Freeze the financial assests. See how loyal the military will be.

We have a long standing diplomatic/military doctrine in place, known as the Monroe Doctrine. The US should have been involved in preventing other foreign nations from negatively impacting our hemisphere as has been done for decades. We were caught off guard in the late 50s when Cuba was involved in a fight for revolution which ended up with Cuba becoming a “satellite” for the Soviet Union. The Kennedy administration had to “stare down” the Soviets in 1962 over the Cuban Missile crisis.

With only 12 months left of the so called Republicans in the house and Senate, get things done in the USA ! Let the people of Venezuela stand up for themselves and take their country back, Not Our Job!
WE NEED THE WHITE HOUSE AND REPUBLICAN PARTY TO FIND A NEW MESSAGE TO THE AMERICAN CITIZENS SO WE DON’T LOOSE THE HOUSE OR SENATE. THAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE NOW! STOP USING THE SO CALLED CONSULTING Companies TO WRITE THE CAMPAIGN Adds, THEY SUCK.
Johnson & Thune need to pass all of President Trump’s EO’S now, stop playing stupid games and DO Your Job. Or run from office like MTG & others and be the loosing representatives.
Republicans are week, ineffective, no guts, Wishy-washy human beings.
Loosing party and dooming the USA to Communist ideas and way of life!

Continued military pressure with at least the threat of even more direct pressure should lead to his exit. Maduro is even at risk of being taken down from within Venezuela by his own people. With continued pressure Maduro would have little option other than redirect at least some of his considerable wealth and accept safe haven in a country that would take him (e.g., Cuba). Like many other issues, the POTUS is playing it smart and has this one right. Keep it up USA!

I voted for #1 but there is much more to the issue. CIC Trump has things under control and not everything is visible to the public. The drug cartels will be entirely done away with, their reign of terror and death ended forever. Trust the Plan.

Yes, keep up the pressure. Put more security around the person that was duly elected in Venezuela. Stop the DRUGS. Find out who, in our country, that is benefiting from the kick-backs by keeping people addicted, homeless. There are a few in our own state governments (campagion contributions) to check into: and need prosecuted.

There is no such thing as a diplomatic, negotiated exit now or at any other time in history when it comes to despots or dictators. If that were the case there wouldn’t have been any wars. That said, you don’t negotiate with terrorists, murderers or dictators just get rid of them by whatever means necessary which is always by force. Example: Muammar Gaddafi – US sent scud missiles into his tent and that was the last we heard of him…BINGO!!

One way of looking at it the “Maduro Problem” is to understand that he is at war with the United States and he is, therefore, our enemy. Please allow me to explain:
Hundreds of thousands of Americans die each year from drug overdoses. The drugs smuggled into our country by the various cartels – each of which are condoned by the leaders of their countries of origin – are the chief cause of death among the 18-45 age group (the most productive age group and, also, the military age group), of our country.
Now, please equate one lethal dose of illicit drugs to that of a bullet fired from a gun held by the military groups commanded by the leaders of those countries that takes the life of an American Citizen.
If we were being attacked by military forces from those countries, no one could deny that we are being attacked by a foreign country but the very same is true when those countries allow their cartels to import drugs into the United States!
In summary, there are several countries who are – and have for several years been – trying to destroy the United States! The sad part is that our so-called “elected representatives” will not own up to this fact!
Therefore: Taking measures to oust Maduro by any means possible is totally justified!
(Let us not overlook our most formidable enemy – CHINA!)

Diplomatic pressure and keep drugs from flowing here. Let Venezuelans vote how they want. Otherwise, we have to focus on Mexico because that’s where most of our problems ly. The drug cartels run that country.
