ABC probably made the right choice to get rid of her for PC reasons, but that show brought in a lot of ratings, so their loss.

Liberals didn’t like her stance of respecting the office of the President, so in my opinion they were just waiting for the opportunity to get rid of her. It is a shame that we can no longer have disagreements in opinions and thoughts but trying to be controlled one way only. It won’t work…we are Americans, we are stronger, we will always fight for our freedoms…at least the vast silent majority.

If Valerie Jarrett wasn’t of color this whole thing wouldn’t matter. The left has turned this into a racial incident.

A lot of free publicity. They’ll change the format and feature her again while all of the other libs get away saying whatever they want about our president and his family.

Liberal “comics” can vilify President Trump by holding up a severed head. That’s OK. But one twitter slip can derail a TV show and careers. Why? Because the liberal left controls the entertainment and news media. Oh, and don’t forget Tim Allen and Last Man Standing show. He was taken off the air for comments about then President Obama. Thank God for Fox News and Rush Limbaugh so we can have a balanced outlook.

ABC should have let the viewers decide whether to watch the show. I agree that they made the decision because of her political stance but, what she said was absolutely racist.

ABC made the right choice but the problem is that it is okay for the left to do the same thing and get away with it. Our society is really losing any civility…

I did not like Roseanne’s first sitcom 30 years ago, because I thought her humor was raunchy and rude. Also, I did not appreciate her disgracing our National Anthem. However, all of what she did back then is tame when compared to the “entertainment” of today. Although I was not going to watch her new series either, I think she was unfairly terminated. Her comment was very rude and disrespectful, but liberals get away with saying far worse things about President Trump and other conservatives. Roseanne should have been given a warning and a second chance, but unfortunately Hollywood and the Democrats are on a mission to silence conservative voices.

The powers that be on ABC didn’t want to even air the show to begin with because it strictly a Trump bashing show but couldn’t do anything because it became a hit sensation; so they were looking for something to cancel it. Unfortunately her tweet gave them the opportunity even though she didn’t say anything really horrible. There has been extreme nastiness by those whose brains have become warped by this coalition to bring this Administration to it’s grave. May God bless and protect the President, his family and his Administration.

Who is the Racist Ref that defines Racist slurs? And wanda sikes didn’t think it was funny, with all her tweets and yaks when she does something that passes for comedy.

HOLLYWOOD HYPOCRISY again shows its UGLY FACE. I’ve never seen her TV show, and I’m not a fan of hers, re Ms. Barr. And, too, I’m a lifelong Democrat, who was VP of his Campus Democrats in the 1960s. But the total Leftist orientation of both the News Media and Hollywood — with their Transparent Agendas — just becomes so jaded and tiring. The one so-called comedian who went on national TV with a threatening to the President pose with his bloodied head on a platter is given a pass by the Media and Hollywood because she parrots their feelings. The same with the White Correspondents entertainer who attacked one of the President’s employees over irrelevant issues. It makes one just want to scream “enough already.” It’s time more of us Democrats stood up and called out for a level playing field in the Media and Hollywood!

While Roseanne’s tweet may have been in poor taste, the left has been telling us for several years now that comics have comidic liberty when making jokes–now all of a sudden, Roseanne does not–besides, she never said that VJ came from a monkey, which some people would take as a racist slap at blacks coming from apes. I personally think if that was the case, Roseanne had the wrong animal group–it should be more in the linage of a donkey !!

Calling someone or someone’s comments “racist” is an overused term, as racism is very rare. A more apt term would be biased or bigoted which is more apt, and sadly more common. If we let Democrats/liberals/leftists control the language game, we lose from the get go.

Even though I believe Twitter is the lowest form of professional communication, ABC was certainly out of line and overreacted by cancelling Roseanne. I am disappointed in ABC . They could help mend this country instead of breaking it further!

when Trump who is the President, has been called an orange orangatang by Hollywood liberals and pictures posted with him being beheaded? ?? NO!! If they can say things like that. then Roseanne has every right!!

Tired of ALL the horrible, rude, hateful speech ! Words have consequences. Lately, it is one sided . If Roseanne is punished for her words – there is a list of other shows that should have been canceled already!

She was not at work and she doesn’t represent her employer when she isn’t on the clock. Wrong move on the part of her employer.
Bad and wrongful act on Ms. Roseanne’s part for which she deserves to be called out for and looked down on for, but her employer, in my view has stepped outside his RAP (Responsibility, Authority, Power)Box.
If Ms. Roseanne said these words at work she would deserve to be fired, but this was not the case. Nuff Said

None of the above. She is not a conservative. She wasn’t a conservative when she pulled her national anthem stun in the 90’s, she wasn’t a conservative when she became a 911 conspiracy theorist, she wasn’t a conservative when she tried to pose as hitler for a Jewish magazine, and she’s not one now. She is and has been her own worst enemy and this only shows her true colors. The time to criticize her was when ABC hired her last year.

Jarrett isn’t black;she is Iranian and a muslim who together with a muslim president was trying to turn our Country into a muslim state as directed by their puppeteer, soros. You compare what Roseanne expressed with the vile, obscene posts of the vast majority of the”liberals “. Remember that the press is almost entirely controlled by people with very close family ties to major executives of corporate titans! Follow the money! The closest we,the “deplorables” have to our own voice is Fox News and the Internet. ABC should be investigated by FTC for their obvious partisan manipulation of the news.Won’t happen. The”swamp”is all pervasive.
People, vote with your Remote! Boycott abc!

Most Libtards consider themselves empowered with their hate as the ends justify the means. Problem is most are dissillusioned with a utopian dream where in reality they are dumb cattle lumbering down the chute. The Liberal Elite care only about retaining and growing power and are happy to sacrifice the “deplorable” people. Dependence upon government rather than self. Dumbing down of the education system and normalizing the injustice seen here in the Roseanne event are like the water slowly coming to a boil. The constant drone of the left is like an enzyme eating away our rights. Wake up!

Roseanne’s tweet was unwise considering the extreme bias against conservatives. She should have known that the left will dish it out, visiously, but will never take it. It’s an extreme double standard.

This was a total overreaction, not only by ABC, but from CMT, TVLand, and other stations which were running reruns of her original show! Bring it all back! The comments by late-night hosts are just as out-of-line as was Roseanne’s ( a career comedian) tweet!

ABC canceled “Last Man Standing” while it was one of the top hit shows on TV. Apparently, it is OK to bash Conservatives in other sitcoms, but attacking anyone of a liberal stance is verboten. And it looks like apologies from Conservatives are unacceptable, too. I never knew that Roseanne was a Conservative until this current brouhaha, never particularly liked her brand of rude attack humor, but It does appear that her show is being canceled strictly because she and her character are definitely of a Conservative bend. Maybe FOX will pick up her show as it did “Last Man Standing”.

Her comment was totally racist. But why is it ok for liberals to say disgusting and hateful things and face no consequences? The View is still in the air after repeated offenses. I think I will skip watching ABC programming.

All political!
Obviously the Liberals need to charge their base with as much conservative negativity as possible. If the liberals don’t see them actively and aggressively opposing conservative actions this could result in more losses at the polls and less money in donations.

Fortunately not all Hispanics and non Caucasians are believers of this radical agenda to destroy our great country in this manner.

Roseanne did nothing more than some of the “comedians “ from the left have done. I agree that she used poor judgment posting it to Twitter. When I was a child I remember my mom telling me “Sticks and stones can break my bones, but names will never hurt me “. The left can sure throw the poo at the right but cry when someone from the right throws it back. And lets not forget the theory of evolution… it says that humans evolved from apes. That means “ALL” humans. What was the racial issue here? Was it because VJ was accused of being related to the Muslim Brotherhood? The Obama Administration put racial tensions back 60 years!!!

Conservatives need to be more proactive against the looney left. I terminated my SiriusXM account when the management refused to fire Snoop Dogg and his twit nephew for the video they made about shooting Trump in the head. More proof that bias exist. They will not receive money from me to promote hatred.

While channel surfing … have come across Samantha Bee. What kind of audience listens to her “trash mouth” anyway? “A feckless C—” Is that the kind of language for people to hear and mimic these idiots with a bully pulpit? The sad thing is that she is just the puppet regurgetating the words of her writers. Obviously she has no moral compass. I would suggest we do like the activist do and that is to boycott any sponsor of her show. I’ve never listened to her show to see who the advertisers are. Maybe part of the AMAC readers know who her advertisers are as I’d hate to waste my time and mind on listening to her show just to find out who they are and then start boycotting them by writing to the sponsors (advertisers) and certainly never buy their products.

Valerie Jarrett has done everything to undermine this country— she was the reason
the Twin Tower attackers were not stopped.
She probably smiled when the Towers came
Tumbling down — She’s worse than an Hamas
– Planet of the Apes offspring .
I wish the swamp would turn to quick sand
And swallow up all the anti-American Scum.
The Anti-Trumpers are probably upset by
Roseanne’s comment because it puts Jarrett
Back in the spot light— it should be into a Jail cell .
Thanks Roseanne
??
God Bless America

As others have said, I didn’t watch Roseanne’s show years ago, never followed her and wasn’t watching her show now. Don’t follow Full Frontal, read about the disgusting language uttered from this Bee person. There is absolutely a double standard in Hollywood re: politics and many other issues. If you’re a Democrat/left leaner-anything goes without consequences. Republican/conservative better watch out and measure every word, gesture or look, because you know for sure you will offend someone and will pay for it somehow/someway.

While I agree, the comments should not have been made publicly, canceling the show was truly inappropriate and unfair. The entertainment world feels privileged to share their views to everyone, especially if they are not conservative. Extremely one sided. We have given this industry too much power to influence people of all color and race and yet we invite them into our homes every day. The hyprocacy needs to stop.

Bob

Definitely an over-reaction. She’s a comedian who they’ve paid for decades to make rude and crude jokes. I don’t like her stuff, but that’s what they pay her for.

It would be different if she were supposed to be an independent, unbiased news or talk show host. In that case, being disrespectful would be the issue, not racism. Again, if that were the case, a public condemnation and apology paired with a two-week suspension would be a sufficient punishment for a first-time offense, with clear consequences laid out for future incidents.

Unfortunately, ABC’s agenda actually encourages disrespect for conservatives and over-punishes anyone at all that dares disrespect liberals.

The fact that the show may have had some conservative leanings does not give Roseanne Barr license to ignore decency norms.
Of course, the same applies to the liberal celebrities that exhibit equal, or worse, public behavior!
