Until we stop counting illegal aliens in the census and do away with birthright citizenship the blue states like California and NewYork and Illinois and others have taken advantage of this by adding congressional seats. Fight Fight Fight back legally anyway we can. MAGA

I root for Texas to pull it off against the dems.but in California the deck is stacked against the GOP and it would take a miracle to even the playing field. Even if GOP took all counties except Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco area Dems would be hard to knock out. However if GOP can make the push and win the 2026 elections in state senate and house it could happen. Trump needs support from everyone who wants common sense government, not the same old same old crap the Dems project.

Nobody is doing anything in Texas that democrats didn’t do before to get a socialist democrat in office, I live in. Worth Carolina and in 62years old originally from Charleston South Carolina, raised mist of my life in Searcy County Arkansas, then in the navy in Norfolk and VA Beach, nie in NC, democrats through my life have slowly turned into socialistic democrats Not democrats they draw new lines where the majority vote for them and as long as they have a majority they win lije California, I know for a FACT that Newsom let’s them vote, I’ve seen illegal aluens voting in American elections, we NEED to redisttict, get ALL of them out then dissolve the democrat party

The misleading census that was done including illegal aliens should also be redone to give an accurate reflection for the redistricting process.

All states should now be redrawn without illegal aliens counted from the last census. These people are not being represented by Congress. It dilutes the representation from actual citizens.

The DIMMs have ALREADY engaged in much more blatant gerrymandering. This just attempts to even the score! NewSCUM wants to violate the CA constitution and skew his state’s representatives even more. It’s ironic [and ridiculous] that the cowardly TX reps FLED to IL where FATBOY has worse districts than TX will ever have!

Why all of a sudden this is being shown as something completely unheard of?? The Democrats have done this my entire life – well, 42 years as a registered voter – I’ve seen them annex county property that had high value for the city, while carving around a tiny poor neighborhood which remained county. 40% of Californians vote Republican, yet they have no representation. Democrats want to keep illegals included in the census – want to keep bleeding social security dry by giving it to illegals, give illegals Medicaid, SNAP, & any other benefits they can to have a voter base – all at every tax payers expense. Wise up

The Texas population has grown substantially because people reject progressive state ideas and relocate to states with politicians that use common sense. Normally i would say it is not a good idea however, Texas was informed the districting is now illegal because of the influx of people fleeing the idiot progressive states.. Go for it GOP. It’s done by the opposition continually.

The root cause is the Census and how they calculate those in need of representation. Why else would the anti-American Left party democrats (AALD) “illegally and in violation of their sworn oaths to defend and protect the USA from an invasion (source Article IV Section 4 of the US Constitution) allow a massive invasion after Trump won both times, 2016 and 2020, the writing was on the wall. The AALD are done except they seem to just keep breaking our laws and violate their oaths. So, they (AALD) had to do something, allow anyone and everyone to walk right into our Homeland…No Vetting, to our peril. They will “Lie, Cheat, Deceive, Steal, Spy, Create Chaos, and even murder to get their way and stay in power.” Please do not doubt me on this, I have seen it for over 6 decades right after JFK had his head blown apart.

In many cases, this will NOT likely be ‘gerrymandering’, but de-gerrymandering.

In the majority of districts across the nation, it is the democrat party that has the worst record of district slicing to silence conservative voters. There’s no other way to explain why CONgress has recently been so evenly split when 60% of Americans tend to vote conservatively.

Democrats who abandoned their jobs should be punished – lose their committee chairs, pay their fine and not get paid for the time they were away. They made money off this and had their expenses paid. Traitors.

First of all, this should be a process that is defined by empirical evidence. That may be the case here but I don’t trust any political statistics. I do believe that the last redistricting was tainted by fraud and counting illegal aliens and stale registered voters. We all know they’ve found millions of voter registrations across the country for people who don’t exist.

Secondly, I despise the weaponization of state politics against another state. Newsom needs to be impeached for that but other states attempting to influence the business of another state through threats against their own citizens is in itself a crime and should be punished accordingly. Thats an oligarchy not a Republic.

The corruption of our political system has reached a tipping point and we the people need to call out our “elected” officials and hold them accountable!

The language of the Texas redistricting poll is terrible. The redisrictimg is about fairness, not creating an advantage. It’s righting a wrong and it needs to be done across America. Especially in states where nearly 50% of the voters have no representation in congress because of past gerrymandering.

What matters most is EQUAL REPRESENTATION FOR EACH CITIZEN VOTER. Period. The idea of waiting 10 years for an inherently flawed process to give a green light is absolutely nuts. Nobody has come up with a better process. Nobody! So, lets just charge onward. A lot of politics is drawing lines–you’re eligible for this, you’re eligible for that, you have green skin, you have greener skin, and on and on. Get over yourselves, politicians, and do what’s right for a change.

It’s the stupid political fighting that makes me concerned about the republic’s future

There is a very valid reason for redrawing the districts in the states that have had such a large increase in population like Texas and Florida but then perhaps that points to a need for the same thing in Blue states that losing citizens.

The districts here in Texas were gerrymandered by the Democrats. Texas still voted for Trump in all but a few districts in the larger cities. Even in the Valley by the border where the vote is usually in the Democrats favor turned red. The border is a major crisis for Texans and it was proven where those districts turned Republican. Basically, no matter where the lines are drawn, Texas has had it with liberal policies and overstepping by the Democrats. All they are doing is costing Texans more money to do additional special sessions.

The GOP needs to do everything they can within the confines of the law to maintain power for the next 20 years in order to undo the damage that has been done to this country. We are a Constitutional Republic. Socialism, Communism, Sharia, all need to be illegal in this country and the muslim street noise needs to end. Keep it inside the walls of your church like every other religion. Or leave. Only natural born citizens should be allowed to hold office at any level. This misunderstanding of what this country was founded on is ruining US. Likewise those members in Congress that are supporting the foreign land of their birth over the United States of America need to be removed and have their citizenship revoked. I applaud Texas and Governor Abbott. California is a lost cause unless we deport deport deport. DOJ needs to dig in on Newsom and Bass. #MakeAmericaSafeAgain

I voted, “Why not?” but I really dont like the way the selection was worded. If districts were gerrymandered the last time they were redrawn, then I see no problem with correcting the errors. Two wrongs don’t make a right, but correction in district drawing definitely needs to take place.

A law should be passed allowing only citizens of the USA to be counted for purposes of determining the state representation in the electoral college. Any errors discovered in the distribution of population/citizens counted in a census, affecting the number of state congressional seats should retroactively result in a corrected state reallocation of seats. Any illegal alien or non citizen who votes in a federal election should be immediately deported. Voting, with limited exceptions for military and verified illness, must be done only during polling hours in person on election day. The voter must have a valid ID to vote and NO ballots will be counted which were received after election day.

First, one question:
I am completely torn by the issue.
On the one hand, THIS! is _PRECISELY_ what Democrats do ALL THE TIME, EVERYWHERE, and historically Republicans seem oblivious to opportunities to cement their hold on power, if they ever accidentally get any. So, I favor the move to–finally–give them a taste of their own, beat-down, medicine.
However, on the other hand, there’s the nakedness of the power grab in time for the 2026 mid-term elections, which _could_ blow up in their faces. It’s an unnecessary risk; by other accounts, “the Democrat Party” is finished, and this–like so many, MANY actions and words by DJT himself–could, far from finishing it, anger “just enough” people to revive it enough to bite, hard.
The map being replaced was drawn by Republicans, for the 2022 elections.

They should stay the course, and spend their blood, sweat, and tears persuading people to keep them in power, avoiding Democrat “Cheap Tricks.”

Gavin Newsom, the governor, is attempting to redistricting California right now. The difference between Texas and California is in Texas the redistricting is the responsibility of the legislature. In California, however, a proposition was passed by the voters in 2008 giving the responsibility of redistricting to a citizen commission and taking it away from the legislature. Once a proposition is passed by the voters in California it becomes part of the state’s constitution. Newsom is now calling for a special election to overturn the will of the people and to hand back the redistricting back to the legislature. He said it will be temporary, but, I don’t believe him. He is an unctuous individual who is looking out for his own interest and power. On his journey to power he will thwart the will of the people by any means necessary. If this special election passes, it will set a precedence to overturn other constitutional laws that he (Newsom) disagrees with. After all, California is deeply blue and the voters will do what the democrats tell them to do. Newsom claims to be saving democracy when in fact he is a threat to democracy.

If the democrats over the past 4 years can allow 20 million people into the country illegally and then count them in the census to prop up blue districts, then we either need to do a new census immediately and adjust the representation – or gerrymander between census years to make that adjustment.

Creation of congressional districts is broken and too easily manipulated. District boundaries are extremely irregular; non citizens are counted; and politicians only want what is best for their party. We need a new method of defining districts that can not be changed for political purposes.

I’m hoping someone brings a lawsuit against Texas and other states and the Supreme Court rules all states must be proportionate to the vote tallies for last federal election. This way California, Illinois and others will have to redo theirs to give Republicans more seats in the house.
