US Supreme Court building in Washingon DC

The U.S. Supreme Court recently struck down President Trump's executive order seeking to end birthright citizenship for children born in the United States to parents who are in the country illegally or temporarily. The decision has renewed debate over whether birthright citizenship should remain unchanged or be reformed.

Which response best matches your opinion on birthright citizenship?

I got my law degree from Wal-Mart. However, as I understand Justice Brett Kavanaugh:

Congress could — consistent with the Fourteenth Amendment—amend §1401(a) or otherwise enact new legislation establishing exceptions to birthright citizenship for children born to foreign citizens unlawfully or temporarily in the country.

If Justice Kavanaugh is correct/valid, then Congress should move NOW!

The 14th Amendment was never intended to create citizenship tourism or certainly reward lawbreakers by entering our country illegally. It was designed to ensure freed slaves received U.S. citizenship following the Civil War.

Believe it or not, the “used-to-be” Democrats embraced this amendment and were actually against birthright citizenship. Do you recall the “beloved” (sarcasm) Democrat Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid, who introduced legislation to end birthright citizenship for children of illegal aliens born in the U.S., when he touted in 1993, “How about offering an award for being an illegal immigrant? No sane country would do that.”

There’s no surprise that the now socio-commie Dems have flip-flopped and weaponized birthright citizenship “because it’s racist.” (give me a break). No, they have flip-flopped because they know that citizenship tourism creates anchor babies, who create chain migration simply to sell out America (which the socio-commie Dems hate), in exchange for political votes. Wouldn’t it be nice if some justices of the Supreme Court would actually interpret the Constitution?

It’s going to take either a Constitutional amendment or a couple more Clarence Thomas types on the Supreme Court.

Either way, it’s going to take a while.
