Paul Volcker audited the UN at George W Bush’s direction. The Volcker Audit uncovered ineffective accounting controls, fraud, nepotism, waste, poor HR practices, lack of compliance to stated policies and much more. President Bush and the US Congress ignored the Audit’s findings as did Bush’s successor. President Trump is fully aware of the Volcker Audit. He will do the right thing. He is not the kind of Leader who leads from behind.

I think that the presidents speech was exactly what should have been said. However, having said that, I think he should have followed up with a declaration that the United States was going to withdraw from the UN, and that they had six months to find someplace else to conduct their business, that we were no longer going to have anything to do with them or any of their resolutions or pronouncements.

Not only is it time but it is time we get out of the UN. We should collect what is owed us for it being in the U.S.. If we do not get paid then move the UN out of our country. Move it to Switzerland for this is a neutral country. The UN wants gun control and to really take away all guns in free countries. I have never supported the UN and what little it does. It is top heavy with salaries and little work. IF we got all the money owed the US then our deficit would be a lot less.

It was a speech for all ages. I felt proud to be an American. Nice to have a President who stands up for all Americans. He does not apologize for America’s exceptionalism like Obama did repeatedly. It would have been frosting on the cake if Trump would have nailed Mexico too!

Loved it! Complete with the strong, blunt language he’s known for…. When people are blunt, even somewhat harsh, folks LISTEN. Nothing makes me cringe more than PC, diplomatic language these days… He told those worthless commies exactly what he’s doing, and exactly where he’s GOING. It has been decades since an American president has gone into that forum and declared, “AMERICA FIRST.” They don’t like it, but tough…
For my money, it’s time to boot em out of New York, and send em all out to Belgium, where they’re headquartered anyway. Imagine the VA hospital we could BUILD in that facility!

I do believe that President Trump put a toe over the line by calling the North Korean leader “rocket man.” The guy may be a complete nut case, and clearly has an agenda against the U.S. and others. He is, however, still the head-of-state for North Korea, and needs to be addressed with that level of respect. How many times have we said, “If you don’t respect the man, you still must respect the office.” Other than that, his speech made me proud.

Thank God, we now have a President who stands up for America, not bows and scrapes to our enemies!!! Although the mainstream media (ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, etc, naseum) will never admit it, President TRUMP, I believe, is doing a wonderful job in straightening out the intolerable mess the Obama gang created and left him. He needs our prayers that the Almighty will continue to give him the wisdom to undo the evil brought on by his predecessor. Go TRUMP 2020.

Every time that Iran, or North Korea, does fire a missile, they have no true idea of who their missile may kill. And they do not care. And if North Korea’s missiles do only happen to kill some Japanese fishermen, or a family of whales……….are these lives any less important than our own lives? Also, missiles are known to fail in their trajectory. What happens when one of the Iranian, or North Korean, missiles do target a major city by ACCIDENT? Leslie

And imagine the increased medical care that could be provided using the money now wasted on the U.N. In other words, it would be a win-win all the way around.

I fully agree that the UN is a cess pool and the US needs to wash its hands of this mess. Use some of the aid for hurricane damage going to the Caribbean and build a no frills facility for the UN in a location such as Haiti. Imagine the boost to the local economy. Erect it in 9 months and then give notice to vacate the current site. I think the idea of a VA facility is fantastic… naturally after fumigation.

It would seem that the entire tail-between-the-legs, whining cry-baby Left and a few people here claim Trump was “too harsh” at the UN.

That’s just plain comical! If it didn’t hurt so much trying to get up again, I’d fall down laughing. When did the clear TRUTH become “too harsh”??

Almost the entire Globalist/Communist/Muslim dominated UN is far harsher in its condemnation of the US on a daily basis than Trump was of the UN in a single speech. Most openly call for this country to be destroyed to clear the way for their unworkable (cue harp and violin music and a shower of flower petals) “Socialist Paradise”. A “paradise” of dictatorial domination and suppression. Watching the faces of the reps from Venezuela, Iran and a few others during his speech was a joy.

It was obviously a look of How DARE this US President defy us!? DEATH TO AMERICA!!!

The whining ignorant Left wants us to capitulate, throw open our borders and give everything away.

Nice to hear a US President say loudly and clearly – “NO!!”.

If the harp and violin Left wants that kind of “free” world, let them move to Venezuela or North Korea and live there for a year. But tell them to bring a lot of food and basic supplies like medicine if they intend to live through the experience. Oh, a good arms cache and supply of ammunition will help too. They’ll need to defend their survival stash against those looking to “redistribute the wealth”.

I would have been even harsher. I would cut our UN funding from 22% down to 10% now and threaten to reduce it to 5% next year. President Trump made an outstanding speech, one of the best by any president in many, many years. It was overdue, not from him but by his predecessors for the past 30 years. The UN is very nearly a worthless anti-American organization and if it does not start living up to our expectations plus eliminate the corruption it should be disbanded.

I understand that we, the U.S. have to try all diplomatic channels before having to use military force. The problem with dealing with a sociopath makes this almost impossible. The longer we wait, it gives him morr time to arrange his evil plot to destroy both America, and our allies. The innocent people of his regime are the only thing that makes it so difficult. Dealing with a mad man leaves us no way out though. God give us wisdom to make the right moves, and not look as though we are the aggressor in the end.

The President needed to make it clear to everyone that this NK situation is serious, in no uncertain terms. The rattle was heard by everyone, as it should have been.
If a strike is necessary after that, no one will say they were unsure of Trump’s warning that the US will protect itself and its allies.

All the issues that you have in you poll are critics to US Citizens. You continue as our Do Nothing Congress does to ask us to pick. We the People picked when we elected President Trump but did not realize we put a do. Othing Republican Congress in place. The Demacrats are even worse because they are convinced they know what is best for We The People but they do not and refuse to listen to We the People and Drain the swamp if it is possible. I cannot believe that the U.S. continues to shoulder the burden of financing this farcical institution. We are paying to have dictatorships, radical governments, et al to constantly vote against us at the U.N. When I attended school, the social studies teachers tried to sell the students that the U.N. is a democratic type of international organization. Look at the members, and you will see that the vast majority of U.N. members do not believe in democracy. So why are we still supporting these scoundrels ? I would like to see Trump propose a United Nations of democratic nations.

I was extremely happy to hear the remarks PRESIDENT TRUMP made in ALABAMA. HE COVERED EVERY SUBJECT AND THEN SOME. I ESPECIALLY LIKED IT WHEN HE COMMENTED ON THE LAST THREE PRESIDENTS AND THEIR LACK OF ACTION THAT HAS CAUSED PRESIDENT TRUMP NOW HAVING TO DEAL WITH IT. NO MATTER, PRESIDENT TRUMP IS SHOWING HE IS UP TO IT. PS: IF ONLY THE REPUBLICANS IN THE CONGRESS AND SENATE WOULD SUPPORT HIM AND GET THINGS DONE.

Yes! Stand up and do not pander to the politically correct snowflakes who want things called and labled differently from what they really are! It’s because of that whish-washy thinking and “soft-soap” speaking that our country declined in the first place and now needs to be brought back to it’s sovereign strength and character.

About time a president told the world how he felt and did not BS them. They probably didn’t like that the fact that he was so bold. It was about time he did it and showed the world that the Obama administration was over and America is going to stand up for us and what is right. With what we pay the UN we deserve the right to speak out as to what we expect from them.

Turns out, that in spite of the press vilification, scoffing, and hysterical reactions to Trump’s comments, that he is usually correct! The libs can’t stand this, so the press, the Democrat Party (but I repeat myself) join in condemnation of the truth. Classic example is voter registration requiring proof (driver’s license, passport, Naturalization papers, etc.) so violently opposed in some states. It’s easier to vote in the U.S. than use a credit card, drive a car, get a hunting license, carry a gun, or even buy a bottle of liquor! Absurd!

Korea, and incinerated the PEOPLE of N. Korea-that makes the USA sound much worse than IRAN-Just get the USA out of the UN like you promised, Mr. President

President UN speech was great. His Alabama position not so great. His promotion of Luther Strange in Alabama was overshadowed by the recent events concerning the quid pro quo deal with our corrupt ex governor. I do not agree with the Chamber of commerce, NRA, AARP, and Mitch McConnell that you become part of the problem we face. Strange has a history of corruption before this and if President Trump endorses him, it tars him with the same brush as the RHINO”s that are trying to destroy him. I still support the President, but he needs to get his advice else where.

The truth hurts! Yest, it hurts all liars, and under any circumstances. The world liked the third world picture Obama painted of the United States.
It’s like the “knee” phonies, who protest the treatment of black people, yet support the likes of Ron Emanuel, Jesse Jackson, and the democratic
party, who’ve done nothing to help blacks, or anyone else in the inner cities, when they have been in power. God bless and give strength to our truthful
president, and the “thinking” man’s honest assessment of what is happening in politics today.
