The real culprit is senate majority leader John Thune.
He continues to sit on his hands and does nothing to bring bills to a vote. This man is essentially Mitch McConnell 2.0
The real question is – do activist judges, members of Congress, senators have the absolute power over the will of American citizens & the President? The American people overwhelmingly want voter ID, with proof of citizenship – yet we have government officials who are determined to put illegals first.
Politics is making me sick. As far as I’m concerned, Trump can do whatever he wants. These babies in congress have no idea on how to run a country.

It’s criminal for Shumer to hold our country hostage over the passing of this bill. Anyone with a passport had to provide a birth certificate to get one. I had a birth certificate from the hospital where I was born and have used it all my life. It had an embossed stamp and was always considered official, until I tried to get a passport. Took a couple weeks to get one from the county where I was born, a little inconvenience but not a showstopper. He should be ashamed of using politics for something that the majority of our country, including dems, are in favor of.
Without secure,fair and free elections the greatest Country ever I will not survive. Anytime there is a chance to cheat there is no representative democracy.

As much as I hate the abundance of self-legislative, social judges in our Judicial branch, its our Legislative Branch that is hurting our country most today. Too many self serving as*holes that can never agree on lunch. Much less important issues to benefit our country. They can’t even agree on funding to defend our country.
Some people would say the President should not block legislation, but congress does it all the time, especially the demoncrats. For too long congress has held the office of the President “hostage” and now that we have a strong President, the liberals (and RINO;s) cry about it. If our elections are not secure and fair, how can We the People even trust the legislation that is being pushed through congress. I don’t know if the Senate can call of a vote of “no confidence” in Thune, but they should remove him somehow and get someone in who will not be bullied, or owned, by the leftists. Also, there needs to be Conservatives in the Republican party, not RINO’s.
This is a NO BRAINER! I can’t go to any other country in the world and vote in THEIR elections unless I can prove citizenship!

If the save act is not signed there could be millions of illegals, dead people, imaginable people and people voting in multiple states and precincts. That is the only way Democrats can win. They have no policies to benefit the Americans. They support Illegal Aliens over American citizens.
Without clean election rolls and voter ID we can never know if we really have elected someone. The only reason the Democrats oppose this bill is all the dead and illegals would not be able to vote anymore, which all Americans should want to stop.

Have you honestly and objectively looked at what CONGRESS has done to this country, to our freedoms and even more importantly, to the DEBT we are in? 95% of the problems are BECAUSE of CONGRESS.
Congress represents the big donors who will pay them the most money. They do NOT act on our behalf.

The “Save America Act” is essentially an 80-20 issue. Any person in the house or senate that refuses to support it should be voted out in November. Unfortunately our country is full of uninformed “useful idiots” that vote for the same BS over and over.
Thune and Shumer are hypocrites, holding up legislation until they get THEIR way, not the will of those who elected them, yet squealing foul because President Trump has a backbone and is using the very same tactics. Go for it, Mr. President!
A hollow threat. The poll question assumes that our do-nothing Congress is actually going to pass other legislation. That’s a laugh.
Besides, if/when Congress does pass continued funding for DHS, do you think Trump won’t sign that?
If you listen to the MSM (I’m not sure why you would do that) Trump is up to his ears in counter efforts from both his party and surely the left. The courts are another part of the swamp to bog down his efforts. The SAVE act is a hill worth dying on, as the level of corruption in voting has to be lowered. There will always be cheating, but the level of it from the 2020 election is unacceptable, and resembles 3rd world countries.
Absolutely we have to pass the Safe Act or we will end up with stinking leftist Democrats in charge of things and ruining our country again. Term limits is what we need!! Almost all problems come from these Senators and Congressmen too concerned with keeping their jobs and not doing the jobs they were elected to do for us, the American people. Trump, I believe, is finally doing what he was elected to do, I have 100% faith in him.

I think it comes down to the fact that we think Trump knows what he’s doing. I trust him to do what’s best— I hope I’m right. I know for a dead certainty that the Dems won’t do what is best for me.
Once again the feckless Republicans in the Senate can’t get anything done. Even though we have given them the majority they still don’t have the backbone to bring this bill to the floor for a up or down vote. We need to see those votes so we know who to turf out ASAP. My advice to the Republican Party is to FIGHT LIKE A DEMOCRAT!!
The Democrat Party cannot support the SAVE Act because it would reveal they aid and abet voter frauds and have done so for decades.

The GOP plan is to lose the majority of both houses in the midterms. Thune is a long time Trump hater. It’s easier to do nothing from the minority. He’s passing affordable housing from the Senate in hopes it reaches Trump’s desk to NOT be signed.

I voted for JFK and consider this one of the most important pieces of legislation in my lifetime. It’s vital for having fair elections.
The will of the people has been thwarted for years by a perverse legislature that seek to improve there personal situations and are not there to legislate for the good of legal, legitimate United States citizens. There has obviously been an attempt to bring in non- citizens to turn down our voices and influence. Americans voted for this. I am not sure these legislators were even honestly elected. In my state- I do not believe they were. So, YES! This is a time to stand and take on the corruption and back room deals.
While I agree with passing that bill, it won’t matter in blue states unless it is monitored. The dems won’t check who is voting since they already allow illegals to vote.
I think that this solution is much like the democrats ways of getting what they want but, maybe it is how to solve. The Save Act is extremely important to America. Do it!

President Trump seems to know what he’s doing. He’s not a politician, but he’s very adept at strategy. Congress does very little anyway, so he might as well hold them hostage just as they do each other.
I think it is imperative that The Save Act passes in Congress. We need this legislation to save our election process, not only from massive fraud, which we all witnessed in 2020, but to save our Republic from being taken over by enemies-both foreign and domestic- who have long sought America’s downfall as a nation and a people. This is a matter of principles over politics. The right to vote and to hold fair elections are some of the greatest privileges we have as a free society. These time-honored institutions should be protected at all costs. And, while I understand President Trump’s frustration over the deliberate delay of this important legislation, only Congress can and should act in this situation. Vice President Vance can step in and be the tie-breaker if needs be.
The Save America Act says it all in it’s own name. This is a common sense bill that will help ensure the integrity of our elections, the most important process in saving our Republic from the constant attacks by Democrats and their efforts to undermine our freedoms through the use of voter fraud and illegal alien voters. I blame the lack of action on Republican senators, and specifically John Thune, to bring this bill to a vote on the Senate floor and expose those that are blocking its passage. Anyone who doesn’t support fair elections doesn’t stand for American citizens.
President Trump should VITO every bill that comes acrossvhis desk. If he just refuses to sign them, after 10 days they pass automatically .
There are five Rhinos who are blocking this. The first place I would start is to audit their money flow. Why are they so adamant about blocking voter ID. Is it because they’re going to lose a lot of funding or is it because they are so disliked, the only way they can get back into office is to have illegals vote?
And I believe that if a bill sits on the president’s desk for 10 days without signature it automatically becomes law.
