Good to see someone is concerned about the HUGE national debt we are leaving! Congrats to AMAC for bring this to people’s attention. We can’t leave our kids and grandchildren this horrible debt that they will be burdened with.
Next year we’ll have to pay $400 billion to the likes of China, Venezuela and Russia. What a total waste!

Both Ryan and McConnell sold the country out in favor of protecting the administrative state within Washington, D.C. Both Schumer and Pelosi are jumping for joy at the capitulation of the GOP leadership yet again.

This bill just killed what remained of the Republican Party.
It is now time for a third party to emerge if we are to save our Republic.
We need the Tea Party now more than ever.

They have not only broken promises, they have all gone against their oaths of office. Also, as large as that bill was, NO ONE could have read it in it’s entirety!

This bill just lays out the fact that Congress does not respect us and has no intention of working with Trump. They have essentially cut him off at the knees and by signing the bill, Trump has sealed his fate as a one term President. Republicans have no courage to do the hard thing.

So very tired of broken campaign promises….like the pledge to defund Planned Parenthood. A nation that funds the killing of God’s tiniest creatures will collapse. I thought President Trump would be different!

Leaving Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell to negotiate with the democrats at the last hour is suicide. They stalled and patched and allowed Nancy and Chuck to screw ’em and allowed no time for the president to get involved. GOP leadership failed. They betrayed the president. They betrayed us.

Congress has ABSOLUTELY broken its’ promise to the American people to cut spending! President Trump should have VETOED that spending spree bill…hard to make a distinction between this bill and the profligate spending under Obama! If conservatives don’t get their act together, it’s going to be a BLOODBATH for them in the ’18 midterm election, and rightfully so!

Congress never promised it would cut spending or care about how big a budget is. We were led to believe they would do the right thing. I have long ago given up on congress EVER doing the right thing. TERM LIMITS IS THE ANSWER. TERM LIMITS!!! You want to elect the people who will do the right thing. They need a good ass whoopin”.

When will the Republicans in Congress grow a spine. First they lost both houses and the presidency. Then they won the House and said if you want us to do stuff you need to give us the senate, got that. Then they parroted you need to give us the presidency, got that. They still act like they did when they lost all three. As for Trump, while I support our military, he should have vetoed this package; loaded with money for China and border security for other countries for frigging sake, plus Planned Parenthood and Gun Control. Hope I’m wrong but he’s on the path to becoming part of the swamp he vowed to drain. Would have voted Democrat (as if) if I’d have wanted all the stuff the “minority” party were given by the Republicans and Trump in this catastrophe of a spending package. Added to that the impact this will have on the future generations.

Speaker Ryan and Leader McConnell need to go, they are failed leaders that cannot be trusted. Every House Rep and Senator who voted yes needs to be primary’d and voted. They have proven to be part of the Establishment…the swamp.

While I believe we need to rebuild our military, I think we need to do a combination of offsetting spending and increase the income to the government.

And he promised to stop funding Planned Parenthood as well as get funding to build the wall. His new immigration policy once passes by Congress better be tough or I’ll be looking for another candidate.

One of my biggest complaints about the Obama Administration was the total disregard for the future of our country by running up our National debt as much as they did. I made the mistake of thinking that a Republican congress and President would take a different approach. I am very distressed by the passage of this new budget. It appears that is just the same old stuff, spending out of control like the democrats did. What a disappointment.

We elected President Trump to deal with exactly this situation and instead of dealing with it he proved, once and for all, that the swamp perverts everyone it touches. His explanation was as political as anything I heard from Presidents Obama, Bush and Clinton.

This is just another “kick the can ” down the road attempt to “negotiate with spenders. It is time to put our feet down (collectively). Anyone who voted yes for any of the government spending bills since President Trump took office, should be out of a job! I am calling on everyone (regardless of party affiliation) to let their congressional representatives know that they are now out of a job!!!! Vote against anyone who said “YES” to spending and no to a balanced budget bill (in the making) . I am dissapointed in President Trump for caving to the threat of not spending on the military. It is our job to support them. 90% of any buget should be about the military. ONLY 10 percent of any budget should be about other programs. NO money should be going to fill the coffers of government officials who are making millions in in sider trading deals. No one in DC should retire with millions in their bank accounts that came out of our pockets. They also should not be in congress for more that 2 sessions and should have to live with everything they pass in to law for us. How many of them would be happy living (and their families) with Obama Care – do you think that waste of paper would have been acceptable to them?????

Didn’t Donald Trump campaign on reigning in Government spending? Leave the raises for military personnel, they deserve it. To reduce government spending, how about stop giving tax dollars to countries who want us dead? The savings from those giveaways will easily fund the wall on our southern border. How about cut out tax dollars to Planned Parenthood which will find a way to abort babies and call the funding something else? How about cut giving tax dollars to sanctuary cities that knowingly violate Federal immigration laws? Just my 2¢.

The “swamp” is a cesspool. Trump needs line item veto power. This was a slap in the face to President Trump and all of his supporters. And Congress had the audacity to vote themselves a raise in this bill? Drain the cesspool!!!

I am bitterly disappointed in President Trump for signing this monstrosity when he had a golden opportunity to veto this and send the most clear message that business as usual was over. I will keep praying for him nevertheless to realize what a terrible mistake he’s made and to work hard to recapture the trust of his supporters.

People are so stupid! This is a spending bill not a federal budget! Trump can do whatever he wants with the money! So seeing the plan to build the wall is to be by the Army Corp of Engineers now he’s got the entire wall paid for!

It is ridiculous to think that a 2000 page bill that Congress receives two days before the vote could be properly vetted. And I’m outraged that Planned Parenthood and all the other Democrat sacred cows continue to receive billions in our tax dollars. The Republican establishment is equally guilty with the evil Democrat party. Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell should be booted.

It’s really hard to comment since I didn’t read all of the more than 2000 pages of this bill—-but am sure there are so things that need to be fix that you can’t just stop spending all together and there are probably things in this bill I don’t like but had to be in the bill to get it passed. Playing politics and feeding egos is not an easy task and it’s very seldom pleasant —and remember this only gets us thur September. I haven’t heard much about the Fiscal 2019 budget bill.

I voted YES in this poll. One option is YES, Congress needs to offset spending increases with spending cuts. This is true, however, in this poll I voted ‘YES’ because it was Congress who let us down, especially, Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell. Both, obviously, either broke their promises to us or did not mean it when they promised to rein in runaway spending. I vote for President Trump to have the line item veto. There is no way he can trust Congress.

I am very disappointed that Trump did not VETO this. He’s typically willing to fight for the right thing …. what the heck happened – did he take the advice of his party this time…ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I for one would be willing to cut all non-U.S. spending by 50% and all U.S. spending by 5% if they’d stop overspending the budget. That should be what they pass – no more can go out than comes in. Period.

I believe Ryan will announce his retirement after the Easter recess and leave to take another position for his masters at the Chamber of Commerce. McConnell unfortunately will probably continue until the Dems take over the Senate, at which time they will vote to end the need for 60 votes to pass anything and McConnell can retire to enjoy all the swamp money he has amassed throughout his career.

Trump was put in an impossible position. Congress had plenty of time to work out a better budget and failed, once again. The blame is on the establishment Congress – both selfish parties. How much can one man do…Trump is not God, and yet he is doing more than any other one man has ever done. Defense is important, a top priority. It is not a kind world.

With the GOP in controll of both houses, the Democrats were able to pass even more of their radical agendas than they did when Obama was in office. GOP politicians seem to be more concerned about and responsive to lobbyists’ dollars than to the promises they made to their constituents to get elected.

I am extremely disappointed in the Republican Party and in our President over this horrible omnibus spending spree. I fear the result will be less Republicans and more Democrats in the next several elections, and conservative voters will never see another election like the one in 2016. Evan a third party like “Tea Party” won’t have the support to outvote the Democrats. Too bad.

Congress should never group all the spending together, mainly because of sneaky Democrats burying all the discretionary spending they sneak into these bills. There should be a 51 vote majority rule the way Trump wanted and this could have been prevented and the the “big spending” Democrats could have been placed in checked.

This bill was a travesty of bloated spending. First and foremost, there should be NO tax dollar provisions for ANYTHING that is not mandated as essential per the Constitution! “Social Programs“ and PORK have NO PLACE IN ANY BILL!

Congress does not truely care what we think. If they did they would be more responsive to our views. In watching what congress has done over the years I have reach the conclusion there is NO DIFFERENCE between Republicans and Democrats. All they do is change their labels.

Mc Dowell

I voted yes in this poll, but does anyone out there really think there is a difference between the politicians that label themselves republican and/or democrat ? Of course they do not have any regard for the people they misrepresent. I have been around a long time and it has never been any different. I didn’t see any money in the bill for building a wall either..

I became so incensed when I read the president sing this outrageous bill into law that I had tears in my eyes for OUR Country.

I called my Congressman, who voted NO by the way, and told his representatives that although I appreciated his vote, he wasn’t strong enough to make a difference, I didn’t need him any longer. I then called the RNC and to my regret left a message that was ugly, I since called again and apologized. However, in my mind, we need two years with no Republicans so the people can see how evil and far left the Democrats are. We can no longer hold our nose and simply vote for a Republican swamp creature because it is then upon us. They have to learn a life lesson of what happens to traitors.

Apologies for the rant, but loyal patriots have to understand there is a steep price we will have to pay to clean up this broken mess. Trump is no better because he caved to the military machine that only has a single-minded agenda. More money to waste, not invest. Our Military is putting more Americans at risk than they are protecting us. Afghanistan? COme on already. Enough of the fantasy of making a difference. The best thing we could do would be to do flyovers and burn the Poppy fields once every three months or so. As far as Seria is concerned, let them fix their own problems, which I doubt will never happen.

Bring our men and women home where they belong and send the Generals to die for nothing.

Am I mad? No, I am genuinely angry because WE have been screwed again. This time by a lying, cowardly president.

When is the madness going to stop? In absence of anything resembling rational thinking, I’m guessing there is an underlying agenda in BOTH parties to knowingly and willfully destroy this nation! McConnell and his ilk are standing there smiling as they compromise away the future of the USA! And telling us this is right! I will say one thing: they have guts to stand there and lie like that!
That is exactly how dreadful people like Hitler, Mussolini and a host of others got their start. When segments of society become entrapped in the misdeeds of their leaders, they tend to form groups seeking to shed themselves of their oppressors. Many of these groups usually will have a charismatic leader (example: Germany and Hitler with the Nazi party). There are, I’m sure, many people in this country who would fit the profile, ready to “fulfill their destiny”.
To the political “leaders” of this country: Take heed: your future is staring you in the face. Proceed at your own risk. Wealth or power will not protect you.
There are plenty of people more than willing to take things to the next level.
Good Luck.

Need to Root out the “Deep State” with Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell who are trying to destroy Trump and his agenda in trying to make American great Again Initiative. This will kill the GOP in the Mid-Term of 2018. Tim for McConnell to retire and replace Yan with someone no part of the Deep State connections. This is back for Trumps agenda and bad for “Making American Great Again!”

When is the swamp going to get cleaned up? Who wrote all this crap into the budget? We need more education on how this process works. I am tired of the lobbyists and Creeps like Mitch McConnell. These people are absolute losers and not Conservatives. I am a AMAC member. Trump says he will never sign another budget like this? Sure he will not because he will be impeached. This is why Democrats want to cancel the so called tax reduction for the Middle class. They need a bigger slush fund. All the Staffers get a raise in this budget too?
