Many countries have targeted Israel with boycotts, divesting in Israeli companies, and sanctions. Recently, Rand Paul has blocked several bills that give financial aid to Israel.

Should AMAC take a position on this issue?

I think its unwise to be borrowing money to pay other countries. However, since we’re going over the financial cliff, Isreal is more deserving than most others.

Give aid to those countries that support the US and defund those who blatantly disrespect and especially those that do not hide their hate and contempt for our country. Our government needs to figure out how to directly help the people of South America without going through these corrupt government heads so that the people can have something of a decent life in their own country. And, the US CONGRESS NEEDS TO FIX OUR STUPID ASYLUM LAWS to stop the insane invasion on our southern border!

I agree with Sen. Rand Paul, that we should limit foreign aid – especially to those who give us nothing but grief in return!
Israel is and has been an ally , not just a handout recipient, and we would do our nation ill if we do not stand with them in their fight.
Palestinians (like the gang at our southern border) were/are interlopers who moved in and took over – until Israel was re-established
by the ‘modern’ world, following WWII. We learn a lot from our association with Israel and the Israelis.

The United States was founded on Liberty and justice for all. In fact, Liberty is one of the pillars of our Declaration of Independence from King George III of England in 1776.

Israel only wants her own independence. If we abandon her right to protect that independence which was given to her by the United Nations after WWII, the United States would be abandoning one of the principles upon which she was founded.

It seems as though all of the other nations in the middle east hate Israel. Who else will support them against those who dig tunnels under the borders and toss explosive devices on their citizens? Ditto Doug, Theologically, and Tom

We should make Israel our 51st state. If they don’t want to join us, the US should become a Israeli state. I say this in 50% jest.

……12 December 2018 Wednesday…..
Rand Paul is an idiot. So is anyone who denigrates little Israel. Israel, the tiny little spot struggling for survival amid the ravening hordes of heathen savages compassing them about, has produced more good–social, agricultural, scientific, humanitarian–than any country in the region and, per capita, in the world. – – – Israel goes about its own business while surrounding devils launch rockets, unprovoked, into Israel’s schools, homes, hospitals, daily killing its citizens. — Imagine Seattle shelling Portland, or Los Angeles sending rockets into San Diego. . .It would not be tolerated, as it isn’t when Israel shoots back. Why then would the victim be to blame for a provoked retaliation? I’m peaceful, minding my own business, but if you hit me I’m going to hit you back, and hard. As it is everywhere.—-Israel is our ally, I am proud to say. We here in the United States who are proud of Israel should loudly tell all the Rand Pauls to go sit down and shut their gas spigots.

Yes we are allies with them, however, I am concerned over land grabs in Christian areas- including a 400 year old convent and monastery that was dividided by Israelis wall a few years ago. It’s akin to the Cherokee trail of tears, imo.

Yes we should support Israel, they are our true allies now since we have President Trump in office not Obama. We should only support Christian nations. He will bless our nation and others if we would just PRAY and ask for forgiveness then GOD will save our U.S.A. That’s all we have to do. Is this so hard for us to do?

I find that when politicians like Rand Paul find sometime that he feels takes away from his constituents he fights back without even asking anyone if he should. As a constitutionalist and libertarian I often disagree with Rand Paul. I wish that he would consult with people who live in the real world rather than those who live inside the Beltway of Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia. It is my opinion that President Trump’s decision to move the US Embassy to Jerusalem after the last several Presidents promised to do the same thing and went back on that promise, was one more promise kept by this great man and President. I was not a fan of Donald Trump in the beginning and felt like many that he would never make it to the nomination, but when he did I had to hand it to him. I knew one thing for sure, I would never vote for someone who had violated the same rules involving her security clearance that put more military personnel than I would like to speak about in this forum in prison. Yes that is correct, she did violate those rules and as far as I am concerned, I don’t care what Comey said about carelessness, as the Secretary of State she signed the Memorandum for Record for Operational Security and Information Awareness. This is training that anyone who uses a Military computer has to take every year, and before initial use. The user must also be cleared by the Security Office and Officer where the user will use the computer. The user also signs a non-disclosure if they hold a security clearance depending on the level of the clearance they may even take an initial polygraph and than periodic polygraphs to ensure complience with security guidelines. That said, do you believe for one second that Hilary was unaware that she had violated her security clearance, or that Comey know she knew it? If you believe she was ignorant of her violation than you should maybe read some of the security clearance guidelines that are online, and than read the job discription of the Secretary of State. You may change you mind or at least you may stop thinking that she is innocent.

I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Happy Holiday, Happy Hanukkah. Happy Kwanzaa. If I missed anyone I truly apologise, I wish you well, good health, long life, love, wealth, and happiness for all.

According To the Promises of The LORD God Almighty in Genesis, our national welfare depends on our support of Israel. Genesis 12:3 makes it quite clear: [Addressing Abraham, the father of the Jewish people] “I (God Almighty) will bless those who bless you , and I will curse those who curse you”

Should we re-look our foreign aid policy. Yes we should. We have sent trillions to South America, Africa. Yet today we have ‘migrants’ from those regions. Why? Setting aside the recent efforts of The Internationale/One Worlders for now, one could argue that most of US Aid to these regions has been stolen by corrupt politicians. One can even argue that aid via the UN has not been effective. Best to pause and take another look. ps: If there is a crop failure in any region, then sure, send food, but via the US Consulate? As for Israel,it from here it appears like they have used any US aid well. So why not.

Of course we should support Israel. They seem to be the only sane group of people in that part of the world! Plus they are a dependable friend of the USA.

Andie

There seems to be universal support for Israel here. I find this point one of the most embarrassing issues among conservatives. In Washington’s farewell address, he cautioned against entangling alliances. No alliance in existence could be more entangling than that with Israel. Had we not played favorites with anyone, we wouldn’t have the entire Muslim world hating us. Making one “friend” has created thousands of enemies. And with “friends” like Israel, who needs enemies. What kind of “friend” or ally would deliberately attack a US Navy ship repeatedly, 4 times by air, cannon strafing, rockets, followed by torpedo boats firing 4 torpedoes, one hitting, followed by machine gunning the awaiting life boats in the water. 34 American sailors died and 170 wounded when our greatest ally in the Middle East deliberately attacked the USS Liberty on June 5, 1967 in international waters. The whole thing was white washed and covered up with the collusion of high ranking criminals in US government, sec. of defense Robert McNamara.
But at least Israel supports us voting favorably toward the US in the UN, right? Sadly not the case. But without Israel in the Middle East, Arab anti-Semitism would explode in violence. Sadly, the most anti-Semitic nation in the world is Israel! It continues a policy of apartheid under a different name against the real Semitic peoples, the Palestinians. Remember, it has been less than a decade that non Jewish residents were granted anything resembling Israeli citizenship in their own country, thanks to international pressure.
Get informed. Respect the wisdom of our first president. Stop drinking the Cool-Aid.

Once again, the answers offered for yes or no, have nothing to do with why I would say yes or no. I would and do pray for Israel, as directed by Biblical passages. Every time Rand Paul dupes me into thinking that maybe he has the right motivation on issues, he turns right around and makes a fool of himself by coming up with ignorant statements .

Of course we need to financially aid Israel, and keep their economy strong. After all, if the Dems ever get control again our own economy will be doomed – we may then have to ask Israel for aid!!!

I am joining in the discussion rather late, but I want to emphasize that the question is whether AMAC should get involved. As a 75-year old Senior, I say please focus on Senior issues. Personally, I have opinions on foreign aid, but I am more concerned with Social Security and Medicare disappearing before I do… I would rather have AMAC focus and succeed on our behalf. Let’s not spread ourselves so thin and then accomplish nothing that affects us personally.

Cut out all of the aide to illegal immigrants and cut out foreign aide to countries who are not our allies. Many of the countries we support are actually our enemies. By all means, support Israel with whatever is necessary! They are our strongest ally.

Not many of our youth today see Israel as important as it is to us seniors. Yes AMAC should get involved as one of the only voices in America that will come to her defense. Why is Rand Paul taking a stand against Israel? Why does he stand up against Trump? It questions what kind of president he could have been if elected. Another obama?

The bible is VERY clear about Israel and what happens to those who stand against them. If the true concern is halting monies, why don’t we first stop giving so much to the criminals who sneak into our country? There is a reason it’s called ILLEGAL immigration.

Yes we should be of any help that we can towards Israel. They are our only true allies in the middle East. The rest of it you could throw in the trash heap. They always vote with us at the so called United Nations, which couldn’t be further from the truth, and should be kicked out of this country, most of those so called “Diplomats” do nothing but abuse us by taking advantage of our laws and the largest we,so wrongly afford them.

I can’t even begin to understand why Rand Paul would not want to support Israel. Israel is a great nation and a resourceful people— we should respect, stand beside & support her. And Benjamin Netanyahu a fine man and wise leader. It would be entirely foolish on the part of America to abandon Israel now or ever.

Israel is the original model nation for God’s chosen people, the original paradigm. Woe be to those who seek to destroy Israel. I agree with Rand Paul that we should cut a huge portion of our foreign aid to other nations who don’t appreciate it, and then divert some those funds to Israel. If we turn on Israel. we will surely experience God’s wrath. The United States is God’s chosen nation to be the model for the Western world.

What is foreign aid? Nothing more than welfare benefits to foreign countries, allies or not. We provide taxpayer funded foreign aid to many countries, like Central America, only to have them send us their poor, diseased and criminal masses. Israel has been caught spying on the US more than once, we protect them and others with our military might, which again is funded by those of us who pay taxes. While our taxes soar and SS recipients are told to not expect a raise, we support elites around the world. We have been lead to believe that without our aid, these countries would cease to exist – HOGWASH. We take care of our own, let other countries do the same.

We give money to many countries. Most of them don’t even support us or our way of life. If we can’t help our best allies we shouldn’t help people who are unfriendly to us. Don’t give money to anyone if we don’t give it to Israel.

Keep support strong for Israel – as to the rest of the world that we send money to in the form of cash, foreign aide, military, whatever…if they hate us, want to destroy us, burn our flag, my question is “why are we even sending them foreign aide?” Perhaps if Mr. Paul wants to cut out Israel, he should take a long, hard look at just who supports the USA….not many.
