Gerrymandering before midterms Sounds like the new political strategy going into future midterms.
Dems are making America a banana Republic.
They are the true fascist, dictators.
Dems never have solutions for problems.
They only create problems.
Then tell you they can solve such problems.
Rinse, repeat. Rinse, repeat.
Why do Dems constantly call Repubs and Trump fascist and every other “….ist” in the book?
When all Dems want a one party controlled dictatorship. A do as I say. Not as I do controlled mob.
Dems want to call all Trump actions as unconstitutional. But when they speak they ignore constitutional amendments they dislike. Such as the 2nd Ammendment and many times the 1st Ammendment to people that they disagree. They want to censor others freedom of speech.
All the time saying Trump and Repubs are a threat to Democracy.
If anyone is trying to destroy democracy, it is obviously Democrats.
And everyone needs to remember (especially politicians) we are a REPUBLIC nation.
Talk about voter fraud.

It really is a joke, especially in California where. Dummycrats own the economic and political mess we are in. There are 59 counties in California with 4 dictating what we do. This state is constantly a disgrace as 4 large counties ruin it for everyone. Even if GOP is able to win the Governers race the winner will have no chance getting things turned around as Dems majority in both house and senate is too great. Being a 80 year old Vietnam vet makes me really ticked off. Good luck to the future generations as you will need it.
Trump and Repub Senate needs to use their term to get more conservative, constitutional, federal judges.

I said other to the question. Meaning gerrymandering at whatever time should only include the citizens counted in each state and does not add seats because of illegal immigrants by number.
I would only support it if/when we achieve full Voter ID, with proof of citizenship, automatic links to residence changes/ death records/criminal records and other data impacting eligibility to vote, and if the state law allows for it – but only once between census with evidence of dramatic population shifts. A high bar indeed.

Gerrymandering is a legal act for states legislatures to do after census.
What VA and other blue states are doing appear to have nothing to do with most recent 2020 census.
I believe TX is trying to take into account Bidens illegal, mass migration figures.
It is time for Supreme Court to make legal decisions on all these states before mid term elections.
Gerrymandering has always been a thorn in ones side, particularly mine. I lived in Illinois when Barack Obama first came on the scene and remember well the gerrymandering that went on to get previously Red Districts to turn Blue. Suddenly there were Barack Obama signs everywhere. I had no clue who he was and what he was all about. The chaos of his time in office in Illinois, and his what seemed an unusual rise from Illinois to the White House was something hard to forget or understand. He was and still is the most divisive Politician this country has ever seen.
Our founders set up our government to have checks and balances – as a conservative, I am opposed to ANY party’s gerrymandering for that reason. The Democrats want to eliminate the electoral college also – looking at the new Virginia map – the one that shows – by land mass – all of Virginia voted NO – except the few densely populated cities – the Democrats goal is – NY, CA, etc will have complete control over every election. Let that sink in… Sanctuary states that allow non citizens to vote, will dictate this nation’s future… It is not too late to take action.. we need to be warriors ( figuratively, not literally), rather than chair warmers – become actively involved in your local Republican committee, volunteer to help educate your communities as to what is at stake, & encourage them to be involved.
Gerrymandering is a constitutionally legal part of our government.
As populations grow it is a necessary step to increase states representation in congress.
Thats the lollipop definition.
The problem today is how the laws are being interpreted. Or should I say misinterpreted.
i would like the census done before any elections, no illegals should have a voice in our elections, and to me, this is what redistricting is about
I don’t understand the mechanics of gerrymandering enough to make a profound contribution here. What I do see from my limited perspective is Republican push back to a tool the democrats push for control. Republicans generally and conservatives specifically desire to be left alone, to go about our lives unencumbered by government controls, dems on the other hand desire to control the very will of the American populace. It’s always about control.
The GOP continuously refuses to fight fire with fire. They still believe naively in playing by the rules, while Dems throw out the rule book at every opportunity. Look how Repubs have bungled the SAVE Act. Look how RINOs Murkowski,Collins, McConnell and Tillis go out of their way to sink the GOP’s boat. Dems keep their people in line. Repubs need to do the same. There must be consequences for Senators who go out of their way to undermine the fight against Dem misrule.
Dims cannot win without cheating. As a result, the Repubs will be forced to adopt their tactics if we do not want this country to be destroyed.
Not that my opinion will make any difference, but I support “redistricting”, not “gerrymandering”: It is a complicated issue because Democrats have been cheating in so many ways and for so long that it is difficult to NOT be for “eye for an eye”. Aside from the specific gerrymandering issue, but as important is the fact that Democrats have packed their states will illegal aliens who get counted for representations and electoral college purposes, once again cheating. Illegal aliens should NOT be counted for redistricting or electoral purposes.
Voting districts should be made, by law, as square as possible. Let the votes fall where they may.
Districts should be grouped by the number of people, not party affiliation. A district should have concise borders and the people in each district should have the ability to vote for the candidates of either party, even in the primaries, no matter if they’re Democrat, Republican, or Independent, etc. The decisions of government leaders affect every constituent.
America’s voting districts should be drawn based on a simple grid system. I don’t care which party is at fault. Continually redrawing district lines to discriminate (include or exclude) specific nationalities or people groups is by definition racism. Stacking the voting Districts in favor of specific nationalities or special interest groups is dishonest and unfair to everyone. Anyone that has seen a current district map knows that redrawing the maps has been politicized in favor of one party or another based on class warfare ideologies. There are counties in NC and VA that are 20 miles wide and hundreds of miles tall because of a people’s nationalities. When we were either born in America to American parents or naturalized, did we not all agree to live by the principles found in the US constitution. Man’s ways are so corrupt. May God forgive us all for promoting such selfish dishonest ideologies that always discriminate and oppress someone. Why can’t we the people just agree to all becoming warm blooded Americans defending the ideals expressed in the constitution and bill of rights? Answer: Because we are sinners prone to pride and selfish interests over what is best for the nation. Please pray for our nation and revival around the globe but especially in America. Pray that Americans will return to our founding fathers biblical foundations of all men created equal. Redistricting to discriminate or benefit some over others is not biblical and not constitutional!
I would support it once all those who are not supposed to vote are out of the country,
or the voitng laws have changed through-out the states that do not allow those people to vote.
Redistricting should be done according to the law. Districts should be set up to reflect equal voters by residence not political party or affiliation. Candidates need to be evaluated and chosen on merit. Every elected official position must have a term limit attached to it. We need to have citizen representatives not career politicians and it needs to start with the ones in office now; NO GRANDFATHERING!
No matter what is going on, Congress should follow the laws and the Constitution. The hate they demonstrate is creating more hate among their constituents. They need to respect what voters voted for and stop their constant criticism. It will only catch up with them in the end.
VA dems just gave the many, many, many RED states the go ahead to F all their Dem voters.

FIRST, you must get the census done right. No illegals, and stop giving more to New York and California when they don’t deserve it.
Lefties are power hungry criminals, period! As a result, they will do ANYTHING, legal or not, to grab all power over citizens (their subjects)! They push for district map changes that make no sense, but help them. They “rig” elections in creative ways, from ballot harvesting to machine tampering. They push constantly for more “safe” gun control to disarm the masses (i.e., YOU and ME), in DIRECT OPPOSITION to what the Second Amendment was adopted for! That is, to allow citizen militias to be an equal and opposite deterrent to a necessary standing, government controlled, army. Thus, citizens having the ability and means to REMOVE TYRANTS, and preserve freedom FOR the citizens, NOT illegal immigrants.
The Communist-wealth of Virginia-fornia-Stan is an example of what the Communists will do as soon as they are in power: by taking redistricting authority away from a bipartisan commission (not to mention deceive voters about the ballot initiative that just passed), they seek to create a permanent Communist majority in the state and keep them in power in perpetuity. Gubnah Abby-NORMAL-Gail Spamburger is a perfect example of what Virginia Communists like Mark Warner and Timmy Tax Kaine have been doing for years: present yourself as a ‘moderate’ when you’re anything but, then get into office.
Most of this redistricting started because of the open border policy of the Democraps during the illegitimate Joe Scramble Brains Biden administration. Importing as many illegals as possible and then shipping them around the country to pad their numbers in states to make them totally Blue!
Only after a census, the way it was designed, anything should be considered a criminal act and the people doing it should be prosecuted the same as if they tried to overthrow the government, becuase thats what it is.
Once the census is done, those districts should remain. However, I have a few exceptions: The last census was admittedly incorrect, so the census should be done over and then districts reset. Next, with the illegals being counted, they need to be removed and then districts redone. Again another true census. With so many people leaving states, again a mid-census should be done to correct all the changes in population. 10 Years is far too long with all the changes, illegals, and especially to fix the corruption from the last census!
Otherwise, districts should represent the common populations that live there with common issues and interests. Districts should not be gerrymandered to give either political party an advantage.
I support redrawing district, where census fraud was committed by counting illegal aliens has taken place.
The issue of gerrymandering seems to me to be another complication of federalism. States that wish to manipulate their voting rules to favor one party or ideology are going to point to the constitutional right of states to determine how their own elections are managed. But, is their no federal recourse for individual citizens who can be disenfranchised by unfair state strategies? I believe that during the civil rights movements 50-60 years ago, the answer was of course, the feds can intercede. Now, when progressive states are the ones employing unfair tactics, the answer suddenly becomes “no”.
This is blatantly unfair political maneuvering. Just the name “gerrymandering ” sounds like something sneaky, which it is. It should be outlawed everywhere.
The Virginia fiasco has shown the country how easy it would to loose our voice due to an attempted illegal and unconstitutional power grab by redistricting the state. Fortunately, the republicans are not asleep at the wheel and are fighting this in the VA Supreme Court and they have a very strong constitutional case against the democrats. That is the reason we must follow the constitution.
It’s a tough question. Both parties gerrymander, always have. However, Virginia’s REASON for gerrymandering was because they didn’t like what Texas did. The same reason California did it. States should be independent and shouldn’t be using tit for tat. That’s completely unacceptable. Like fighting with your little brother – well HE got the bigger slice of the pie so now I want the more candy! But we all know Spanberger is taking that state on the road to communism. She lied to voter’s faces and they were dumb enough to believe her. When will dems realize they are just useful idiots?
Bottom line….there are more Republican controlled state legislatures in nation.
Time for every Red state to play dirty politics like Dems.
Change all Dem districts and add population numbers of illegals to create more RED districts.

We need a new honest census that doesn’t count illegals and requires proof of citizenship.
What Virginia just pulled off is sneaky, underhanded and down right mean. No to mention unconstiturional and quite likely illegal.
Who ever voted: District maps should not be changed for political advantage, no matter which party is doing it, obviously does not understand why we have laws against gerrymandering. The Dems in Illinois are destroying this entire state by following people who ‘do not know how to lead’ for the interest of their state and their taxpayers!
Follow the law. The object is to have a fair election that represents the people’s choice every time no matter which party is in power.
It should be done this year only. The Census Bureau “mis-counted” in 2020. They over-counted 8 Democrat states and under-counted 5 Republican states iirc. Refused to fix it, sort of said Oh well, we’ll fix it in 2030…Dems may already have more Reps than entitled to. Republicans did NOTHING.
Gerrymandering should be outlawed. Democrats and Rinos love to cheat and steal. Our election system and government is corrupt no matter the state. I doubt the Census is real and accurate. Sorry to sound cynical. Both sides play the game.
Patriotic Conservatives should not let them get away with what they have done in Virginia, we need to go after them in COURT, Persue them with any laws and all laws possible.
Every state should be districted based on the number of congressional reps into similarly sized areas. Changing only when census determines gains or losses in population. This should happen twice in a decade; within one year of census with an adjustment 5 years later but not within one year before an election.
