President Trump can draw from funds that have been allocated but not spent on wildfire and flood control measures, on recovery efforts after natural disasters, and on new family housing projects at military bases. There probably are more options within the Dept. of Defense, the Army Corps of Engineers, and Drug Enforcement agencies. The dems can try to stop this or at least slow it down, but they themselves will hit the brick wall if the Supreme Court is forced to decide. And who better than this president to get as much wall built as possible on such limited funds?

President Trump went through the teaching exercise (for the American people) of allowing Congress an opportunity to craft a “bi-partisan solution” to the issue that both Congressional Democrats and Republicans promised would emerge, if he re-opened the government and gave them some time. What resulted from Congress is EXACTLY what we could expect of a “bi-partisan committee” of Progressive Democrats and RINO’s. Note: NO MEMBERS of the House Freedom Caucus were chosen by Republican Minority Leader McCarthy, because the intent of this “bi-partisan committee” was to generate exactly what they did. An 1100 page bill designed to block, obstruct, indefinitely delay or otherwise prevent the actual securing of our southern border from illegal aliens, drug and human trafficking cartels, gang members and an potential terrorists.
Having read a summary of the contents of the bill (It was too depressing to read more than a 100 pages of the bill itself), I can safely say that not only was the small amount of wall money ($1.375 billion) highly restricted, but the bill also includes substantial restrictions on both the Border Patrol and ICE in several areas. It does however provide substantial increases in funding for things like “welcoming centers” for illegals, additional money for baby formula to encourage more small children to be brought into the country, additional money for buses to ease the transportation of illegals to reach sanctuary cities and pro-illegal immigration groups willing to provide even more aid, the re-opening of human trafficking routes that existed under the Obama administration and that were closed under President Trump, etc., etc., etc.. In short, a virtual laundry list of things designed to ensure the continued flow of illegals into our country and the preservation of as much of our open borders as possible.
So now that President Trump has allowed the Congress to show the American people exactly what Democrats and RINO’s think “border security” means, the President was absolutely right to declare a national emergency. The President will now re-task $8 billion dollars, that Mulvany found from combing through all the federal departments and agencies, and use it to build the wall. Of course the Democrats and many Republicans will scream and rant and claim that what the President is doing is somehow unconstitutional, but there have been 58 national emergencies declared by past Presidents since the 1976 law passed by Congress giving Presidents such authority. Thirty one in the last 25 years and 12 alone by Obama. So President Trump is well within his constitutional rights to address this ongoing national emergency via the executive order he signed today. No dount the Democrats and their front groups will find a Judge on the 9th Circuit Court to issue a stay of execution to the President’s order. That has been their standard go-to tactic to delay or otherwise attempt to obstruct every executive order President Trump has issued since being sworn in. However, like in most of the other cases, once the case reaches the Supreme Court, the Court will find in favor of the President. Unfortunately however, that also means the Democrats will be able to delay any actual construction of the wall using that $7 billion dollars.
Elections have consequences and the way the Democrats have acted on this issue is EXACTLY how they will act on every single issues between now and the 2020 elections. Same goes for the RINO’s still in Congress. So I would strongly suggest EVERYONE get off their collective you know whats and try to educate and convert as many Democrat voters to Republican between now and 2020 election day. Don’t bother with the over 50 crowd, because of someone is still blindly voting Democrat by that age, they have nothing upstairs to reach. Concentrate on the 40 and under people, that may still be able to see past the Democrat propaganda to the truth of what the Democrats really stand for. Because if you think this current behavior by the Congressional Democrats in the House is bad now, just wait until they either re-gain the Senate or the White House. If they ever do, then this country will be changed literally over-night. Just a suggestion for those of you actually care about the long-term future of this country.

Deep in the budget bill Trump signed into law lies the landmine he was talking about: No part of the US Federal Government can use ANY funds to stop alien children from crossing the border, or use ANY funds to deport the child’s family, guardians, or potential guardians from the US. That includes MS13 members…
Changing our laws would have a much larger impact on illegal immigration than would building the wall. Mandating ALL law enforcement officers immediately take into custody anyone in the country illegally, and ICE immediately deport them, even if they’ve committed no other crime would be more effective than building a wall.
Currently anyone who manages to get a foot on US soil or talk to a US Border Patrol agent can claim asylum and be guaranteed due process. Due process takes years. Meanwhile the asylum seeker is free to disappear within our country, assuming fake identities at will, because we usually have no way of knowing who they are to start with. Angel Maturino, Resendiz, AKA the Railroad Killer assumed at least a dozen identities during the years he was sneaking across the border, running up a lengthy arrest record in the US. We could have done something about him, instead we treated him like every other criminal alien in the US, arresting him, then letting him go after each crime. We didn’t connect all his false identities and get serious about him until evidence tied him to a murder, ultimately one of more than a dozen murders he committed while roaming the US, robbing US citizens and taking or sending the loot back to Mexico.
He managed to sneak back across the border, and Mexico refused to extradite him to the US. He eventually turned himself in to the Texas Rangers so his wife could claim the $250,000 reward. However, if we’d deported him each time a law enforcement officer had encountered him, instead of releasing him, we’d probably have stopped his murder spree before it started.

Trump went thru the system and still the dems wouldn’t communicate effectively for a true compromised resolution, even inviting Pelosi each day (during the partial gov shut down) to talk, and she refused. So, Staying true to his promise, the border security project has begun. It may take 6-9 months before we can move past the circuit courts and find fairness in the Supreme Court and get the job done. Trump will fight for us and weed thru the bill, no matter how ill the points are in it. Trust him is his work. God bless

Several years ago, the Democrats who are causing such a fuss also wanted a border wall. Something changed their minds! One could almost think that at least some of these liberal politicians are “on the take” from the cartels to prevent any such structures! That might explain to “blindness” to the problem that is exhibited by Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer! They are sad examples of American leadership!

I agree with the decision POTUS Trump has made in declaring a “National Emergency ” in order to use the necessary funds to build up and strengthen our porous southern border. The huge caravans of persons from all walks of life across the board, represent a population of migrants focused on invading our country. This can not and must not be allowed to happen. The President was given no choice. The Democrats refused to do what is desperately needed, securing our border, and left him with no good alternative. It is a national emergency, it is a crisis in every sense of the word. As the President is saying, and it has been a huge problem for decades, the drug and human trafficking alone with the infiltration of criminals including possible terrorists along our border make it an emergency. The massive invasion of illegal immigrants, people who generally are putting a strain on every one of our social programs, is icing on a stale and lousy cake. The security is a necessity. I wish Congress would have done their job instead of making this a phony political issue, but they didn’t and the Democrats will do nothing during this president’s term leaving no alternative. President Trump did what he had to do, and I hope he wins the looming court battle very quickly.

I agree with the decision POTUS Trump has made in declaring a “National Emergency ” in order to use the necessary funds to build up and strengthen our porous southern border. The huge caravans of persons from all walks of life across the board, represent a population of migrants focused on invading our country. This can not and must not be allowed to happen. Sure, not all of them are bad people but likewise not all of them are good. If POTUS Trump was to wait for the demon-rats to come up with an acceptable compromise it would never get done!
Like him or not, Trump has tried to work with Pelosi and Schumer. Both of them are worse than petulant children. If they don’t get their way, the pitch a fit, bi*ch and mouth, but will not yield. They hate him more than they care about America. Term limits and strict rules on lobbist and we can turn this nation around.
We the American people have to eliminate the RINOS first Romney and company – whatever happened to term limits – the ability to vote there own pay raises – there own health care -retirement – that is just to start with draining the swamp – thank God for President Trump – ALWAYS TRUMP – BUILD THE WALL.
President Trump has every right and obligation to secure our border. He has been more than patient with the “hate agenda” Democrats to do the right thing. It is absolutely time to move on and do the right thing without their approval.

The President was given no choice. The Democrats refused to do what is desperately needed, securing our border, and left him with no good alternative. It is a national emergency, it is a crisis in every sense of the word. As the President is saying, and it has been a huge problem for decades, the drug and human trafficking alone with the infiltration of criminals including possible terrorists along our border make it an emergency. The massive invasion of illegal immigrants, people who generally are putting a strain on every one of our social programs, is icing on a stale and lousy cake. The security is a necessity. I wish Congress would have done their job instead of making this a phony political issue, but they didn’t and the Democrats will do nothing during this president’s term leaving no alternative. President Trump did what he had to do, and I hope he wins the looming court battle very quickly.
I am seriously thinking the Progressive left and those who stand with them, are gaining by monetary means,are wanting the people to come through with Drugs,child sex trafficking.I want a full investigation of their bank accounts and offshore accounts and if they are money laundering to hide it in other countries.

I not only support the ‘Emergency Declaration’, but would also support another shutdown. I disagree that he should sign the lengthy bill which is purportedly filled with so many land mines. Clean the swamp, RINO’s included.
Our country has gone over to the dark side. The Democrats are not interested in keeping us safe. I also fear Kermit Gosnell is wondering why he is in prison when the laws are being changed to allow what he was doing for years. Sad and sick.

The money for the border wall should solely come via The El Chapo Act which is being championed by Senator Ted Cruz of Texas.
Glad the emergency was declared. Some fear next Pres may use power also but in an unfavorable way, such as gun control. Let’s not be afraid. If we truly believe in border protection, deal with it now. Later, we continue to stand as one, to protect our other Constitutional freedoms.
The man doesn’t even take a salary – unlike the majority of our ‘representatives’ who only represent themselves – Trump is truly looking out for our best interest.
