A funny thing happened on the way to the 2020 election – and I do mean funny. Truth began to waft into newsrooms and talk-a lot-shows, like the scent of orange blossoms on a breeze – or the appearance of all those American flags. Have you noticed? Flags are everywhere.
So, the funny bit. Anyway, the interview proceeded, until Trump-Biden polls came up. Seems Trump is closing the gap. This unsettled the host, who expressed concern Biden was not “comfortably ahead.”
Looking for comfort from Buttigeig and Yang, he got little. The former mayor tried to explain Trump’s climb. “I think there are a lot of folks who heard a message – fraudulent though it was, a message that here’s somebody who sees you and cares about you.”
Hmmm, interesting. While congressional Democrats delayed aid to Americans and businesses, tying it to socialist spending, Trump just signed four executive orders to extend unemployment assistance, defer payroll taxes, freeze evictions, and pause student loan payments to yearend. That – along with reliance on medical experts, pushing to reopen the economy and schools, respecting Constitutional limits –sounds like authentic caring. The opposite does not.

Either way, congressional Democrats have the “caring deficit.” Trump, by contrast, is doing what he can – to end COVID-19, get stimulus and tax relief, accelerate vaccines, assure Social Security and Medicare are sound. Back to that interview. Buttigieg wants “change.” He looks past Trump’s achievements. Trump lifted every demographic group to record levels of employment. Maybe Democrats want a return to “go-slow” economics, reopening borders, money to Iran, coddling China, rebooting sanctuary cities, raising taxes coast to coast, defunding police, and rolling riots?
Biden’s latest un-bumbled idea is a “national mandate” on Americans to wear masks outside – or else! Of course, that would gut the 10th Amendment, which forecloses federal power grabs. “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” The Supreme Court has been clear – the amendment lives. That is why Trump pushed no federal mandates.
Biden’s proposal tells us what a Biden-Harris future would look like. Perpetual lockdown, and evisceration of other constitutional rights. If you can gut one amendment, you can gut them all.
What else did Yang say? The host asked if the Democratic Party might be “too captured by its far-left fringe.” Prescient! What did Yang say? Goodness, no, not the problem. Yang told a story. When first running, when he told people he was a “Democrat,” he got a “negative reaction oftentimes.” That came “from truck drivers or waitresses or retail clerks that I thought the Democratic Party was fighting for.”
Or does he mean, owned? Presumably, those are the Americans Hillary Clinton called “deplorables,” and Biden feels – “Come on man!” – must vote for him, as an identity block.
Yang concluded: “Our message is not reaching certain Americans” and – two months left – “Democrats need to do some soul-searching.” Interesting. Perhaps the Democrat message is reaching Americans – and they do not like it. They do not want to swap freedom for socialism, trade work for dependence, security for riots, citizenship for open borders, history for hokum. As for soul-searching, that might be a bit late.
In any event, the latest polls are trouble – for Democrats. As Yang noted, Democrats deliver a “message” and say, “if you do not get that message, it is your fault.” He may be onto something. He regrets Democrats cannot speak so Americans “appreciate and understand.” Idea: Maybe they do understand – and do not appreciate – what Democrats propose for individual liberty.
Yang’s final epiphany: Democrats are “in danger of being perceived as this urban party or the party of the educated elite.” Right – only the danger is to America. The perception is accurate.
Nationally, Democrats have drifted far from their roots – into the “socialist” channel, seeking power at any cost, placing service and individual liberty behind absolute control.
Polls are tightening because Americans value liberty. Political ends never justify anti-American means. If Harry Truman or John Kennedy were alive, they would shake their heads. An increasing number of moderates see the Biden-Harris ticket as a will-o-the-wisp, a ghostly invitation back into the swamp – dangerous for America. That explains the shifting polls.
One footnote, to give the host credit. Trump is closer to Biden today than to Clinton in August 2016. In national polls, Biden leads Trump with a spread of 7 to 11 points. At this point in 2016, Clinton was gaining. Today, Trump is gaining. Between mid-July and mid-August, Trump tightened in all seven swing states.

As you know RBC, the polling methodology employed by most of these companies is heavily slanted towards over-counting Democrats and under-counting Republicans. There are literally only one or two polling organizations that do accurate political polling in this country and they are NOT the ones most of the mainstream media relies on when reporting such information to the public.
If you look back to 2016, virtually every single polling organization that the mainstream media uses, including FOX, was showing Hillary Clinton had a runaway lead in all polls from the beginning right up to election day. If the polls were to be accurate and believable, she would have won by double digit margins in almost every state in the country. We all know how reality played out and how badly the polls missed the reality of public sentiment in this country. Polling today is NOT about accurately reporting public sentiment, but rather generating false statistics, through intentionally skewed data collection and manipulation, that the mainstream media can then endlessly relay to the public via “news” to try and shape election results to what the left wants.
The goal of most polling today is simply to dishearten sufficient numbers of Republican voters to either say “my vote obviously doesn’t count, if the Democrat already has such a large lead” or “why bother to vote, if polls say President Trump has already lost” and thus sit out the election. It’s a psych out game the left plays every election cycle. The Democrats only need to unduly influence a few thousand voters in a couple of key swing states to steer the election the way they want. So people need to understand 1) these polls are NOT accurate, 2) the methodology they use is so slanted to intentionally ensure a Democrat always comes out ahead, and 3) so the public should completely ignore these worthless polls and simply focus on getting President trump re-elected.
I am an ardent Trump supporter and will vote for him again. Seriously though aren’t at least some of the executive orders unconstitutional because they are actions reserved to the legislature? Yes, I recognize the legislature is dead-locked, but that’s no reason to circumvent the process if it is unconstitutional. Also, if this is indeed executive overreach, isn’t that the same behavior for which we were condemning Obama?

Out of curiosity , i watched a little bit of the Democrats National ‘Convention’ last night . When i say a little bit , i mean it. However, what i did see was Michelle Obama tell a balled face lie about the cages used by Border Patrol to temporarily house children . Mrs. Obama said that those cages were built by Trump . Actually , and she knows this , they were built AND used by the Obama admin. She KNOWS this. This means , she is a lier. And the nature of the lie was right out in the open. She knows that non-Democrat voters know about the nature of this cages but she also knows that most Democrat voters do not know (most of ’em , anyway) because the the MSM’s outright censorship of all things bad from the Obama admin. We need elected (and appointed) Republicans at ALL levels boasting about the Trump Presidency, and enumerating its many successes. The time for complacency and “Let George do it” are far behind us. Thanks for the optimism in this article! In my suburb of Atlanta, most folks aren’t talking politics. As a matter of fact, most of my friends are sick of what is going on! They HATE these riots and don’t believe anything they see on the virus pandemic cuz the experts keep changing their tunes every few weeks. The only constant in any of this has been Trump. Haven’t seen any signs or bumper stickers for Biden on any home or vehicle. Seen lots of American flags (I have one on my home) and a few Trump stickers on cars. Love seeing patriotism again!

The push to require mail-in ballots in every state by the Dems and some RINOs has to be a non-starter. There is no such thing as a Federal election. How to conduct elections is not mentioned anyplace in the Constitution. In fact, states, under the tenth amendment, establish the laws for election of their representatives to the Senate and the House, Most states provide for absentee ballots which must be requested by the registered voter and that ballot, when sent in, must be signed by the voter under penalty of law that they are indeed the voter who requested the ballot in the first place. There are some states that practice voting by mail, which is their their choice, not the federal government’s. I would urge you to contact your Senators and Representatives to remind them that the tenth amendment is alive and well and it is not their place to try and skirt it even in the midst of the China virus!
We need a President that CARES about his constituents and do something for them. We also need jobs and such! Democrats want to destroy and control instead of building and creating!!

This affects almost all of us. With all the money that is from SS invested in high interest bonds ifrom the government; what do they expect to do with all of that money??? Congress already is spending our SS funds yearly. We paid the FICA tax in good faith that when we retired; the insurance money would be there for us matched dollar for dollar by our employer w/o ANY FEDERAL FUNDS AT ALL in the pot. Every dollar in the fund is OURS. and then after being taxed to get it into the fund, you are taxed again for receiving it when your retire. DOUBLE TAXATION W/O REPRESENTATION. Now if there was such a thing as an HONEST politican; this would be cleaned up and righted. LBJ moved the dedicated fund into his general funds to MAKE his budget look balanced from his escalation of Nam. Congress saw a pot of good and started to spend it. It was origninally set up never to be taxed as we were taxed in the beginning to put it into the fund. But Al Gore got it passed to tax it. Seniors get screwed every which way. We went to war, we raised the families, we invented the things being used today including the cell phone, we paid taxes all those years. We use the PO. We vote by mail all year round. We are REGISTERED VOTERS.

As near as I can tell AARP has 26 million members & AMAC has +1 million. AARP has action against getting rid of SS & the poll here seems like it leans towards Trump proposal. The Postmaster General backed off of USPS changes today, but what happens to changes made since DeJoy was picked by Trump in June. Also, he has no experience with USPS but has donated to Trump election ?? Hmmmm……. Changes made have to be retracted & put back in place, or a lot of damage has already started to show up in postal service. Changes in Washington yesterday made two cities in West side stop taking care of mail to East side? Probably after lot of years, just harassment to slow down mail-in ballots. Enough fooling with USPS.
