The Chinese balloon found hovering above Montana is the latest development in U.S. – China relations. Friday, the CCP’s foreign ministry spokesperson released the following statement:
The airship is from China. It is a civilian airship used for research, mainly meteorological, purposes. Affected by the Westerlies and with limited self-steering capability, the airship deviated far from its planned course. The Chinese side regrets the unintended entry of the airship into US airspace due to force majeure. The Chinese side will continue communicating with the US side and properly handle this unexpected situation caused by force majeure.
This is still a developing story, but there is a bigger picture to understand here.
The relations between the U.S. and China have been drastically different under Biden compared to President Trump.
Trump infamously started a trade war with China after what he viewed as unfair trade agreements from previous U.S. presidential administrations, in addition to intellectual property theft. Additionally, Trump’s expansion of U.S.-Taiwan relations directly went against China’s “One China Policy.”
Trump’s actions showed that the USA was strong, and bold enough to do what it felt was right instead of acting in fear of the CCP. It signaled to not only China, but the world that his version of America would be different, and that the Trump Administration was truly putting America First.
Since Joe Biden took office in January of 2021, America has become undeniably weaker on the world stage. The first major opening for other countries to begin pushing the limits of the United States, was the catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021. Last November, it was revealed the CCP was operating a “police station” in New York City. On November 14th 2022, President Xi of China met with Biden at the G20 summit in Bali. In a stark contrast from the previous administration, Joe Biden revealed the U.S. does NOT support Taiwan independence. This signaled that under the Biden Administration, America would be submissive to China.
With that, you get a “weather balloon” (so they say) making its way into U.S. air space. A senior defense official revealed the U.S. has “very high confidence” that the balloon was flying over sensitive U.S. sites to collect information. In other words, not an innocently lost weather balloon. These conflicting reports illustrate once more the lack of trust between the two countries. At the very least, China did this as an intimidation tactic to the United States, which shows the world who has the upper hand. The more likely motive behind this will be revealed in time.
The smartest solution would be to shoot down or retrieve the balloon to avoid any further concerns that the American people may have. Unfortunately, it was announced that would not happen, furthering the world’s current view of the United States as weak.
This is the latest example of weakness and vulnerability from the United States on the world stage under Joe Biden. An innocent weather balloon? Or a foreshadowing threat of things to come? America needs strong leadership now more than ever. Pray that we get it, and soon.
I pray that America would return to being one nation under God with Godly values and strength.

Here’s my understanding of the incident as documented by a few reputable news sources: The F-22 that flew out initially to assess what the object was, after it showed up on U.S. defense radar, identified it as a Chinese spy balloon carrying a known Chinese electronics surveillance package. The pilot requested instructions from flight command as to whether or not to proceed to shoot it down. Command contacted Washington for the approval to give the go order to destroy the balloon and its cargo. Command in Washington, D.C. replied back that the Biden adminstration did NOT want to proceed with downing the spy balloon. So theF-22 returned to base and the Chinese spy balloon continues to fly over multipple states in the United States.
So once again, what we have is a feckless administration continuing to bend over backwards and stand on its head in order to not potentially offend the Chinese. Despite the fact that the object in question has been properly identified as a Chinese spy balloon. Hey maybe next time, the Chinese will send over something more lethal and we can ignore that too.
The rest of the world is paying close attention to how we continue to make one bad decision after the other and treating us accordingly. We are neither feared nor respected overseas anymore. Under Team Biden, the United States has become a paper tiger with no teeth or fangs. Weakness invites agression from one’s enemies.
We’ve been watching this balloon for a while. The thing is very big and very slow. It didn’t just zip into our airspace. We’ve probably photographed every square inch of it already and analyzed its capabilities and threat potential. Had it not been visible the public wouldn’t have even known about it. But you can see it from the ground on a clear day. We know it’s sending encrypted messages. We know how to read encrypted messages – we’ve done it for decades. If we felt it was a threat we could destroy it or at the very least move it. We can move an asteroid, why couldn’t we move a balloon? Or we can put a hole in it and let it gently drift to the ground, take a look at it and sent it back on a slow boat to China. There’s probably no technology in the balloon that we are not already aware of anyway.

Its moved from Montana. People were seeing it over Missouri today heading east over our air force base and army bases conveniently. We have had a lot of unoccupied territory were we could have stopped it before it got to our military bases but this administration just doesn’t care.

Sounds like questionable accuracy in this analysis. Biden has said multiple times the US would engage militarily should China attack Taiwan. And since when are we suppose to be supporting Taiwan independence anyway? We are supposed to adhere to the one China policy we affirmed back in the 1970s.

Rather, send up a plane with a hook on it and fly it to a soft landing down below where the balloon can be examined, live on tv.

The fact that our government knew about it for days before it was reported to the public shows just how transparent they are. The second it was detected, China should have been forced to remove it “or else”. That “or else” means it would have been shot down or brought down and examined for content. Yesterday, on the Sean Hannity radio show, a former Air Force pilot from the 60’s/70’s called in to say that, even back as far as the 60’s they had sophisticated technical equipment on their spy planes that could easily find (using Infared imaging) nuclear missile silo’s, flying from 30,000 feet. So just imagine what type of technological equipment could have been on that balloon, with 50 years of Technolgy advances since then.
