AMAC Members Help to Secure Big Win Against Woke Banking

Washington, D.C. – This week, JP Morgan Chase (JPMC), the world’s largest bank, held its annual investors meeting. At that meeting, a conservative shareholder withdrew a resolution requiring the company to report on how its policies might discriminate against employees and customers based on their political or religious views, citing concrete efforts by the bank to de-politicize its culture and business practices.

This turnaround from JP Morgan Chase comes following a coordinated campaign last year from AMAC Action, the Free Enterprise Project, and the Alliance Defending Freedom to pressure the bank to stop targeting conservative companies and individuals. AMAC Action launched a call-to-action campaign from April through September of last year where AMAC members sent more than 91,000 messages to key executives at JPMC telling them to stop abusing the civil rights of their customers.

Notably, prior to AMAC Action’s messaging effort, JP Morgan Chase had denied financial services to firearms manufacturers, taken steps toward divesting from oil and gas companies, and without explanation blocked payments and closed accounts associated with conservative individuals and organizations, including the National Committee for Religious Freedom, former U.S. Ambassador Sam Brownback, and retired General Michael Flynn, Jr.

Now, following the nationwide outcry from AMAC members, in its most recent climate report, JP Morgan Chase made an explicit commitment to serving customers “regardless of political, social or religious viewpoints.”

AMAC Action Senior Vice President Andy Mangione said, “I believe our members’ overwhelming response to this campaign shows how they recognize that corporate wokeness tramples all over our civil rights as consumers. AMAC members made it clear that they do not want wokeness anywhere near a boardroom.”

In addition to advocating for state and federal laws that align with its members’ values, AMAC Action is also committed to holding large corporations accountable for betraying the trust of their customers and advancing a far-left political agenda. Woke banking is a particularly sinister threat, as it threatens to de-stabilize the American economy and endangers the financial security of millions of American citizens who want their hard-earned dollars invested with profits, not politics, in mind.

In the months and years ahead, AMAC Action will continue to monitor the actions of JP Morgan Chase and other banks to ensure they continue to follow through on promises to end their persecution of conservative employees and customers.

I’ll believe it when I see a year or more of actual compliance. These people have no conscience or morals.

While we’re at it, how about pressuring the banks to not discriminate against, or violate the privacy of those, who choose to defend themselves or to protect their familys using their 2nd Amendment rights? Chase, and several other banks, want to initiate a special code for firearms associated purchases to track private business, infringing on the personal privacy of law abiding citizens. No different than religious persecution or the abuse of any other freedom we enjoy.

Great accomplishment – this victory helps to bring hope to right thinking Americans who value things that reflect a mindset based on honor , honesty, integrity, courage and loyalty. J P Morgan can be regarded with respect in a conditional sense for upholding values that banks should stand for And AMAC Action defends civil rights again. It is good to know that J P Morgan Chase will be monitored by AMAC Action to make sure things are being done right . It is important to keep in mind the policy toward Conservatives this bank had , ( very negative ) prior to AMAC Action involvement. So, the matter of respect is conditional and it is good that a course change in bank policy is in place as an example of how to correct mistakes.

I used to have an account with Chase. I closed it about 10 years ago when they started doing crap I disagreed with. It’s gotten worse now. Avoid Chase, B of A and Wells Fargo!

What is DOJ doing to USA ? Today, AG Garland is filing suit so that people will be able to get tickets to Concerts. Why is this more important than arresting the Protestirs at home of Supreme Court justices that were breaking a Federal Law by doing so. Where is the Third Branch of our government as our Founding Fathers intended?

This is a step in the right direction, if they will follow through. For myself, I prefer credit unions, haven’t used a bank in 30 years.

One more thing, guess I am very naive but WHY do banks etc contribute money to charities, political groups and such? They should be taking care of customers financial needs not trying to influence politicians and their causes.

JPM may be giving only lip service on its desire to leave the DNC plan to destroy America. Show me the actions, loans, and testimonials of people and company’s that have been wronged. Has JPM reached out to correct their past disgraceful behavior? I think NOT.ACTIONS are stronger proof than words. SHOW ME the proof, words are cheap!

It’s good to read that a difference for now has come about. Perhaps, next time those writing in about such practices show also pull any funds and close any accounts dealing with this bank. I have done so with any institution dealing with this banking system, yes, it’s a pain but I think worth the effort.

See what can be reached if the people stand up and cry foul. Only this is not spread by MSM. The reps campaigning have to bring it to the voters locally and nationally. Get the word out how controlling the left is. Nothing to do with complot thinkers. Although the ultra left keeps calling it that. The left wants to control everything and is dumbing us down every day.

Don’t use banks. Use credit unions. Wherever possible. I don’t have a penny in any banks. If you must use a bank, use a local one. Never use the national/international banks. IMO.

Of course, I’m happy with what AMAC has done on this issue. However, I failed to notice a mention of the bank’s donations. Does it still regularly provide more support to left-wing politicians, groups similar to BLM, Planned Parenthood, etc.?

It would be great to know where other banks come down on this issue so we can make appropriate decisions if we’re doing business with another WOKE business entity….

Correction, as a retired Sr Technology Officer for Jp Morgan Chase, the Bank is the largest American Bank, not the Worlds Largest, that belongs to a Chinese bank.
in all fairness to Chase and as a customer, I have not noticed The Bank being immersed in DEI.,The Bank uses Sig Sigma practices and performance scores its employees periodically as the basis for continued employment, as well as determining the level of responsibility and advancement of its employee base. however, The Bank may be somewhat responding to its ‘social score’ among its peers, a situation both imposed and required by the current administration., and that could have led to your cited occurences. JPMC has always been an equal opportunity employer and has been outspoken in contrat to financial blunders made by the administrations’ finance officers…

Since the Supreme Court ruled that corporations are considered as “persons” and can contribute to political campaigns, I’m wondering if Chase, and other mega corporations contrubuted to various campaigns how much, and which ones. I think this practice is also called Dark Money. Must I use the FOIA to find out the answer?

I really think this was a wrong move on the part of Amac. I don’t see this as any different than when liberals demand that the owner of a bakery go against his/her beliefs and make cakes with messages on them that the owner doesn’t agree with. A bank is a business and they have the right to refuse service to anyone whom they choose. We have now opened the door for liberal groups to call us out for hypocrisy and/or having a double standard. If there is something I am missing, please point it out. I really can’t see this as a victory for conservatism.
