Bohemia, NY [2/1/2026] — The AMAC Book Club is proud to announce Up Country by bestselling author Nelson DeMille as its February Book of the Month, inviting members to explore a gripping novel that blends suspense, history, and reflection on the lasting impact of war.

First published to critical acclaim, Up Country follows retired U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division officer Paul Brenner, who is sent back to Vietnam decades after the war to investigate the murder of an American officer. As Brenner navigates modern Vietnam, he is forced to confront unresolved questions, political intrigue, and the memories of a conflict that shaped a generation. Known for his sharp dialogue and meticulous research, DeMille delivers a powerful story that is both a compelling mystery and a thoughtful examination of justice, accountability, and the enduring consequences of war.

Up Country offers readers far more than a traditional thriller,” said AMAC CEO Rebecca Weber. “It’s a novel that sparks meaningful conversation about history, service, and the personal cost of war—making it an excellent choice for our February selection.”

Throughout February, AMAC members are encouraged to read Up Country and participate in book club discussions across AMAC platforms. Discussion questions and related content will be provided to enhance engagement and deepen understanding of the novel’s themes.

Maybe I’m wrong, but I had to understanding. I won’t receive magazines in print and I’ve been joined for quite some time now and I haven’t seen a one yet.
