Is it sinking in? Americans have just reclaimed their government. Hard to believe, and what a relief. As they say, when you bring down big game, this is when the work begins. So, what happened, why, and what’s next?

In the length of a (hiss, boo) political ad, and so much nicer, here is what happened, why, and where we go from here. It is “Morning in America” again!

Step back 20 paces and here is what you see:  The triumph of common sense and accountability over often harsh, inaccurate, untruthful, extreme rhetoric, which seemed a cover for extreme behavior, otherwise known as arrogance in power.

Within months, we should see the restoration of respect for the individual, more limited government, and promises made long ago to all Americans, not as groups but as citizens with fundamental rights to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”

If those words recollect something almost forgotten, our birthright to be free from overzealous, overbearing, unrepresentative government, they should. Putting the core Jeffersonian expectation into practice again, we should see a White House and Congress working for us, not vice versa.

We should see a return to respect for the citizen’s hard work, the right to their money, the right not to have it sucked up and unaccountably spent by pro-government leaders, unfaithful to who we are.

We should see restored respect for boys and girls, men and women of law enforcement, the military, and the rights of working people, who often do not have time to protect those rights but honor them and rightly expect them to be honored by their government, free speech, the exercise of religion, chance to protect themselves and their families, freedom from harassment.

About to be led by someone who experienced merciless persecution by their government, who visibly suffered at the hands of an abusive, entitled, corrupt government, we will have normal again.

We will have two at the helm who know what it means to be targeted, who will guard against that kind of abuse, and a president in Donald Trump who has had the tenacity, temerity, and courage to “fight” the abuse – even when they tried to jail, bankrupt, nearly kill him. Imagine the insight he has.

We will have a vice president in J.D., Vance who is the American Dream in living color, who came from nothing, rose above his circumstances, an addicted mother, poverty, no privilege, and who plainly values – has lived – the idea of dreaming big, working hard, military service, aspiring, and achieving.

What else is coming? We have people who understand and do not disbelieve or disrespect the greatness of American history, character, heart, heritage, and – to borrow from De Tocqueville – our Nation’s uniqueness, our historical and current exceptionalism.

We will soon see the end of creeping Marxism, no more pushing it in our schools, workplaces, and by a misguided government – no more insidious three-letter codes for disrespect of the individual, subsurface prejudice, redistribution of wealth, suppression of rights, offensive narratives.

Gone will be the federal embrace of DEI, CRT, ESG, and class warfare (that is, power concentration, suppression of individualism, group identities, and propaganda for a perpetually divided America).

What this election shows is that Americans – those who stop, think, feel, learn, and wish for the American Dream, want the chance to chase their opportunities with freedom – not more Marxism.

Huge chunks of America, young and old, men and women, working and aspiring, blacks, Hispanics, White, urban and rural, Christian, Jewish, and Muslim did not buy Marxism, never did. They just want good jobs, a chance to keep what they lawfully earn, low inflation and interest, affordable groceries, gas, and housing, less spending, fewer mandates, and no more being told what to do.

They want peace, prosperity, and an education for their kids, a chance to speak, live their faith without harassment, schools and leaders who know right and wrong, a boy from girl, math, science, reading, writing, skilled trades, a society that gives kids truth, dignity, and clarity, not the reverse.

This election shows we are tired of Marxists and dishonest politicians importing drugs and drug traffickers, gangs, criminals, and illegality.  We love our immigrant heritage but within the law.

We want, in the end, just an honest shot, same for our fellow citizens, a safe, secure, honest, hardworking, job-creating, free country, not one run by selfish, self-righteous crooks.

That is about it, and that is – finally – what it means to have “Morning in America.” Expect a return to individual prerogatives, speaking our minds, and celebrating life differently, but all dreaming, daring, digging deep, and a chance for doing, fewer excuses, entitlement, weakness, appeasement, mandates, and platitudes, more real.

If this election means anything, and it does, it means we are about to get back on track. Markets know it. Patriots of all flavors know it, young to old, and about time. Our adversaries also know it, so their attitudes change. We should take a moment and soak it up. This is what good looks like.

America being made America again. As Ronald Reagan said so long ago; “A nation without a border is not a nation.” The Donald hit the floor running and the left/anti-American, One world order, law and order hating, decency hating and on and on…IS OUT.
Thank you most of all, Lord God, for keeping Trump alive and please surround him with your angels throughout his term. Father give him direction, keep him safe, keep him strong, healthy and ready to hit the floor running. Keep Vance safe and also those in his cabinet. Thank you Lord for giving this nation another chance at freedom and liberty. And Lord God I pray that the real church will make a huge comeback that our nation will once again be a true Christian nation. Amen and so be it!

Perfectly said. We need our moment of euphoria while acknowledging that Democrats and RINOs will work together like a disturbed beehive to subvert and challenge every step towards sanity. That’s what makes me so glad that Trump has such a strong team behind him: JD Vance, RFK Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, and a more solid Supreme Court than we had four years ago. And we the people are past the point of being surprised and hurt by being called racist, sexist, transphobes, garbage, and too gullible and dumb to know who to vote for. We now know that’s all confession through projection.

RBC, like your article. There is a lot of work that needs to be done, and the adversary will fight for every inch of that ground. It will not be a walk in the park. The left has been padding the government agencies since Pres. Clinton time. It would be nice for the cleanup to happen overnight, but it will take much longer. Damn the Democrats, FULL SPEED AHEAD!!

Thinking about all of the good, positive, optimistic things in life — it is Morning in America again — and it is healthy, invigorating and I reckon the word blessed could be used too. So, thanks for the right proper description of what is going on now, and what should be going on in America. RBC, it is appreciated . To have true beliefs , that emanate from the heart and soul , to be able to plan ,put plans forward considering the good of the Nation , not just oneself ,that is doing things according to the principles that are at the foundation of this Country. Time to just feel good again ! Those of us who understand the responsibility that goes along with liberty should be encouraged by this renewal of Faith, Family and Freedom outlook. Gratitude to God for sure. A. good goal it is to set about building a great United States of America with all of the great ideas that are part of what the heritage of this Country is all about.

Great article, RBC!! As you stated, we all must keep our guard up. We know what “Marxist Creep” looks like, courtesy of our “democrat” party. Now, our eyes must stay OPEN for the threats we temporarily defeated during these recent elections, earlier this month. Thank you for this article.

The Romans had an answer for draining the SWAMP. It was called DECIMATION. They condemned every tenth derelict in their ranks to suffer the ultimate penalty. We don’t need to be as harsh, but, eliminating every tenth department,.agency, and bureaucrat of our bloated federal government would be a healthy beginning.

Morning or mourning? All I keep hearing is a bunch of cry babies too deaf to hear what America was telling them… and still are but they’ve got their hands over their ears going “nyah nyah nyah nyah…”. They keep embracing lunacy (actually LOONacy) of the left as their “norm” count on more election losses… America is not ready for open borders and defending non-citizens over citizens or men beating up women in women’s sports.

This is an excellent article. Governance provided by leadership that’s guided by rule of law AND sound, moral principles is what “democrats” have deprived our population of for many, many years.
We’ve now extracted enough of these degenerates from our local political offices, legislative bodies, and the White House to finally give sound, ethical, efficient leadership a chance. Highest praise to American voters and to Republican leadership that never swayed from their duties of principled leadership.

We need every team and poll watcher to be in California to make sure they don’t pad the votes. The House election is as or more important than the White House. Need to keep our eyes open and vigilant. There’s a reason it takes Commiefornia longer to count the votes.

You watch…as the lame stream fake news media who all but ignored the Biden/Harris border disaster will now make the border front page news while vilifying every move Trump makes clearing out this countries progressive socialist illegal alien immigration mess.

The Reprehensibles are still at it: I got to read a NY Times newspaper today for the first time in years. Their B.S. is unbelievable, unpatriotic and dangerous to our national security. The Grey Lady is a traitor.

Yes, enjoy the victory, and strap in for another four years of both “promises kept” and liberal attacks against those promises being kept. I keep reading and hearing “I hope the democrats learned from this,” and I have no faith whatsoever that they will. They’re a weapon of Satan looking towards 2026 and 2028. Trump can slow the bleeding in the meantime, but We The People must continue the fight against the liberal election-stealing agenda. MAGA!!!

RBC, I think that your article is too optimistic. Marxism, no matter what the hell it’s called, will continue to appeal to the seven deadly sins that are part of every human’s DNA. And as long as we all have them in our DNA, we will have to choose between eschewing these sins or surrendering to the tyranny due to them.
Having said that, I rejoice that we won one skirmish against Marxism.

Our prayers was answered and God responded & gave us another chance by saving His favorite patriot from the bullets of the assassin. Trumps victory, I hope, taught the left a lesson, that God is in control, and evil rhetoric is not the way to unite people. Americans are intelligent and patriotic people, and will never condone unfair, unjust treatments that the left has inflicted on Pres. Trump, his family and his supporters. The evil ones will be dealt with by the Lord, who they cannot fool. May God bless them with wisdom to learn how to behave.
