I inherited my fathers huge layouts of Lionel Train setups he would build in his basements. He loved going to garage sales on Saturdays and would almost always come home with trains and/or parts.
When he passed many years ago I helped my mother sell the majority of the valuable trains, big transformers, tracks, switches etc. for a little over $30K for mom.
I kept a couple of the cheaper sets and have started building a layout in my own basement.
Brings fond memories back in this old soul…
