DEX 3 years ago Continuing sophomoric composition skills/knowledge are evident on AMAC’s quiz again today. 1) “Daffodil’s” does not have an apostrophe because it’s a plural designation, not a possessive.2) The correct term for the planetary arrangement which occurs late in March is the Vernal Equinox, not “Spring Equinox”. They have a small bulb at the bottom where the roots are attached. Scallions are different in that they have no bulb.
