Ray 3 years ago hahahaha 3 right Broccoli Free Zone 3 years ago 6/10 pretty good since I only changed planes there once on the way to Edmonton, Alberta. JBC 3 years ago 5 right! Couple of lucky guesses. Freda . 3 years ago 7/10…Rocking this one…haha Old Silk 3 years ago Ha ha – a few lucky guesses got me five out of ten. Beth 3 years ago 6 of 10 and mostly lucky guesses. Steven 3 years ago 8/10 Not bad for not knowing anything about Salt lake City…Good guesses. Richard A 3 years ago 4 of 10…not a good guesser on the other six. Ruth Pierce 3 years ago 6/10; mostly guesses. I did know a couple of them for sure. I’ve never been there but would like to go someday. Craig R 3 years ago 9/10- I’m upset I missed one as I’m a resident. The name of the choir has changed to The Tabernacle Choir on Temple Square. The president of the church has asked that, instead of referring to members as “Mormons,” we refer to ourselves as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Thanks for a fun quiz! Judith Dunn 3 years ago 9/10 Not bad for a Catholic Girl. Sherry Ware 3 years ago 9/10. I only missed the one about the transit system. I moved away from Salt Lake before they built that and I guessed wrong. It was fun to remember the time I spent there. Gail Berry 3 years ago 4/10 And I really only knew 3 of them. Bad guesses on the rest. T. Anderson 3 years ago 4/10….I don’t know squat about Utah. Never been there, never plan to go there. Poor guess work. C, Turco 3 years ago I know this is being nitpicky, but in 2 of the questions it should have been “Salt Lake City’s” not “Cities” – should be the possessive, not the plural. There’s only one city. ROBERT 3 years ago 5 of 10, and one was a lucky guess. All my other guesses were wrong. Rob 3 years ago Pretty narrow topic, if you’ve never been to Salt Lake City or Utah. Try broader based topics for the entire membership Liam 3 years ago I don’t know who researched this quiz, but I have to tale issue with some of the answers, one in particular concerning the City’s name. I grew up and lived in Southeast Idaho 160 miles north of Salt Lake City. It was always believed by those of us who lived there that the city was name after the great Salt Lake. The Mormon Church headquarters are there in that city and valley. It makes sense that the City would be name after the Great Salt Lake. If it wasn’t, perhaps your research person could tell us why the city was named Salt Lake City. P.S. Whoever set up this page forgot to put the symbol in the upper left corner that would take us back to the rest of the puzzles. This is the second time this has happened. Very careless of AMAC. MamaBear007 3 years ago Got 10 out of 10. It helps that I’ve lived in Utah for several decades. Paul Lubell 3 years ago 8 of 10. Not bad for an Easterner, but I have visited. Bob Osgood 3 years ago 4 out of 10. I have never been there. I think they ask pretty trivial questions about a place a lot of us have never been to. Tina 3 years ago Ha!Ha! 3 out of 10. I know nothing of this place. Kate 3 years ago I did awful. 3 right. I don’t know very much obviously about Utah. LOL Joseph Tessari 3 years ago 7 out of 10 Thomasz 3 years ago 6 out of 10, was through SLC only once in the 1970s, didn’t spend a lot of time there. Did one better than Venice which I have never been to slymet 3 years ago I used to live there so I have some issues with questions 4 and 9. The light transit system is commonly called TRAX not Transit Express so I chose the Utah Transit System because TRAX does work with the Utah Transit Authority. Question 9, the choir is now called the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square and that has been in effect for a several years. The word “Mormon” is frowned upon and is misleading, because the Church members do not worship Mormon but the Savior, Jesus Christ as that is in the full name of the Church. Substitute “Latter-day Saint” instead meaning a believer in Christ in the latter-days (before the 2nd Coming of Christ). Saint just means a believer in Christ not the same meaning as one would have in the Catholic Church. wpDiscuz390Would love your thoughts, please comment.x()x| ReplyInsert Login Login Join Renew Member Benefits Newsline Member Benefits Advocacy Our Actions About Advocacy Issues Get Involved Weekly Update Annual Report Find Your Representative AMAC App Better for America Podcast Book Club AMAC Blog FAQ About Us Overview Our Team Our Stance on Key Issues Magazine Medicare Games Voice Your Opinion in AMAC Polls AMAC in the Media AMAC Action AMAC Foundation Social Security Guarantee Prime Directives Brief Prime Directives Details Sweepstakes Contact Advertise with AMAC Terms & Conditions Privacy Policy
