They are beautiful on a motorcycle, and from 40,000 feet. You are surrounded by the mountains. J. Farley 1 year ago It should be 14, 401 Feet, typo! Dianne 1 year ago 6/10 better than I expected. Patty L 1 year ago 2/10….. I guess I know a little to nothing about the Rocky Mountains! I am embarrassed at my results, but I thought it might make everyone else feel very smart today! Rich D 1 year ago 6/10 Don’t know much about the Canadian Rockies. Also, should have put 4,401 “meters” on the Mount Elbert question. Gail Berry 1 year ago 6/10 Mostly guesses. JKHero 1 year ago Does AMAC have a fact-checker? Denver is called the “mile-high” city. A mile is over 5,000 feet. The answer to question 1 has the tallest mountain in Colorado as being a lower elevation than Denver! Really ? Perhaps the answer to question 1 is over 14,000 feet rather than 4,000 feet ? Kathryn 1 year ago 4/10. All guesses. I’ve never been to the Rockies and my score proves it. lilly 1 year ago 4/10 lilly 1 year ago 3:01 George Giovanni 1 year ago Mount Elbert is over 14000 feet. Not 4400. Melinda 1 year ago Only got 4 right, and I lived in Colorado for a time. Pathetic! But Mt. Elbert ( and Harvard) are both thousands of feet higher than listed. measurin' mort 1 year ago I did the math in my head and knew right away that the height in question was in meters. All I can say in response to that is, shame on AMAC for pandering to such nonsense. The rest of the world may be shackled to a ridiculous measurement system that holds us hostage to the number 10 but we have something much better, units that were calibrated to be useful, meaningful and so far as is possible, easy to remember. As to the quizzes in general, They are frustratin’ because oftentimes questions refer to obscure points of minutiae that all but require a guess. That’s no fun, and hardly an accurate measure of our knowledge of the subject matter. Truth Manhattan 1 year ago 9/10. Who cares how many people visit RMNP each year? Sam 1 year ago 4,401 FEET?! Hey, AMAC! Who TF gave us this BS?! ROBERT 1 year ago Knowing Banff is in Canada, I almost picked it until I remembered that the Rockies also extend into Canada. My 5 of 10 were mostly guesses. Ron 1 year ago Ican see that AMACer’s take their quizzes very seriously! 🙂 jaqmarie 1 year ago I really like AMAC. Why do they have so many lousy questions and errors? I enjoy trivia that educates. Doesn’t anyone there proofread these before posting? Shouldn’t they replace the person that creates these quizzes? wpDiscuz400Would love your thoughts, please comment.x()x| ReplyInsert Login Login Join Renew Member Benefits Newsline Member Benefits Advocacy Our Actions About Advocacy Issues Get Involved Weekly Update Annual Report Find Your Representative AMAC App Better for America Podcast AMAC Blog FAQ About Us Overview Our Team Our Stance on Key Issues Magazine Medicare Games Voice Your Opinion in AMAC Polls Sweepstakes AMAC in the Media AMAC Action AMAC Foundation Social Security Guarantee Prime Directives Brief Prime Directives Details Contact Advertise with AMAC Terms & Conditions Privacy Policy
