Only scored 7/10. But the studying that I did to know the meaning of 4 of this weeks’s Word Search words really helped me out! happy Black Friday everyone! We stayed out of the stores today — I properly stored the leftovers from our 18 pounder yesterday and My Darling Dale corralled the last of the 2023 leaves!

#6 should have asked “what is the CURRENT currency of Portugal?” For hundreds of years, or more, prior to the introduction of the Euro, Portuguese currency was in Escudos. The quizzes are supposed to identify items unique, or at least clearly associated with the subject matter. Must be 20 or more nations using Euro’s, now, in a clear effort to “Globalize” the rest of us. Also, on #8, I only read as far as “famous pastry,” and chose Baklava. Never heard of the Pastel de Nata. That was a brain fart, since I knew Baklava is Greek.

Surprised I even got 6 right, didn’t remember much about Portugal except the capital, the ocean and de Gama, from school. That was 70 years ago!

8 of ten, and a few were educated guesses, like the beach word, which sounded like the neighboring Spanish word “playa.” But guessed incorrectly on the music and cuisine questions. Guess I need to revisit Portugal, was there briefly 20+ years ago on business.
