Google claims India is the leading producer of peanuts. But Google also says the USA is 3rd behind China & India in peanut production. So, which is it, China or India, Hmmm? I suspected correctly that China is the leading producer of peanuts which is another good reason for me not to eat them. I’ve listened regularly to Know the cause hosted by Doug Kaufmann, and he cautions against peanuts because they contain mycotoxins. As a result I stay away from them and they are also a goitrogen which can cause swelling of the thyroid gland.
