Technically, the Mediterranean Sea only touches the southern shores of Crete. It does not surround Greece to the south. The Aegean and Ionian Seas surround the mainland of Greece on the south as well as most of Greece’s islands. I knew it was Athens, but thought it was going to be a trick question so I said Sparti. I’ll settle for a 9/10. I guess all those years I stayed awake in Ancient History. Paid off.
