With a glorious history that is highlighted by Bach, Schiller, Mann, Bismarck, Benz, Wagner, and many others, this item was slap at a Germany of 87 years ago that no longer exists. Would AMAC have a Stalin-purge item in a quiz about Russia? Would they ask about the rape of Nanking in a test about Japan? Or would they ask a question regarding anti-Semitism in long-ago France? AMAC owes us an APOLOGY! Gail Berry 3 years ago 8/10 Good quiz! History covers high points and low points, as it should. Hitler was a low point in Germany’s history, so I have no concern over one question dealing with that low point. Sherry 3 years ago 9/10 Not bad! Happy Friday everyone. Have a great weekend. J. Farley 3 years ago 10 for 10, every nation has had their share of scoundrels, Hitler was a Slime-Ball of the first order, but don’t judge all by him, great quiz! Patty L 3 years ago 9/10…. Kathryn 3 years ago 7/10. Not too bad for me. James Shedd 3 years ago 10/10 with only questions 7 and 10 as guesses. I was pretty sure Owens won his medals before WWII but the last was a total guess. Ken R 3 years ago 9/10, the last one was a coin toss between for me between the two “Republics” and I guessed wrong. The others were known easily, but I have spent a lot of time in GE so that was to my advantage. I think I earned a large stein of a cold beverage, huh? Melinda 3 years ago 8/10, should have done better since my parents came from Germany. Hannelore Brunt 3 years ago 10/10, yes, I was born and raised in Berlin! I left at 17 and have lived in English-speaking countries since; 61 years in this country. I am a very patriotic American and wouldn’t live anywhere else in the world despite what our country has become in recent years! But let’s MAGA. T. Anderson 3 years ago 9/10. SAW 3 years ago 9/10. My grandparents on my dads side left Germany after WWI and my grandparents on my mothers side left Ireland soon after as well. I remember asking lots of questions as I grew older about their/our history but realized quite some time ago that I didn’t get near enough, now that they and most of their siblings have long past. Oh no 3 years ago I’m not German and found this one of the easier quizzes. Danm 3 years ago 9 correct. I actually knew the answers to all but the last one.
