J. FARLEY 1 month ago Like several, I got 7 right, I am part Native American, but have no problem giving Columbus credit for discovery of America, because if he didn’t, someone would have, you can’t keep a good secret forever. Joe from Las Vegas Nevada 1 month ago Actually, there were 4 ships that set sail. 3 made it, and the 4th fell off the edge of the world. John 1 month ago I am reasonably certain that Columbus did not write the Mayflower Compact. ROBERT 1 month ago Got the first 4 correct, missed #5, but that gave me the correct answer for #6, since FDR was the president in 1937. I seriously doubt the answer to #7 is correct, since and if Columbus was 41 in 1492 (#10), how could he possibly have been around in 1620 to author the Mayflower Compact? Missed the last 3 innocuous trivia questions for a score of 5 of 10, which I think is my worst effort ever. Walt 1 month ago 7/10. My set of questions made no reference to the Mayflower Compact. Sallo 1 month ago Dumb questions, if you ask me (maybe sour grapes after scoring 4/10?) After the 1st question my hopes weren’t raised–expected more about Columbus and the discovery, not TV mobsters and such (we don’t have TV, so maybe I can have a handicap for that one!) lilly 1 month ago 6/10 Patty L 1 month ago 6/10…. Not a very good score for someone who taught American history! Of course, that was over 40 years ago! Lol Beca 1 month ago Ouch! I need to repeat my elementary history (but to be fair, we never talked about the Columbian Route! Sounds ominous) John Bass 1 month ago 7/10 Loretta 1 month ago 7 out of 10 Michael Baker 1 month ago Question 7 has “an issue”. Broccoli Free Zone 1 month ago Why is the “Flag Ship” almost always listed last for school children? 7/9 throwing out the mayflower compact question. I still often wonder if Chris had something going on with Isabella. Rich D 1 month ago 5/10 Ouch Lana 1 month ago The comments are interesting…7/10. Freda. 1 month ago 9/10..As usual, some I knew, some were wild guesses. I’m happy with it You guys have a blessed day and a great week-end. Mary 1 month ago 5 out of 10 Mary Annie 1 month ago Did this week’s final exam this AM and flunked getting only 4 right answers. Just did a re-do and scored 9 out of 10. I feel like I learned a thing or two! I hope you are all looking forward to a great weekend. We are enjoying mild fall weather and increasing fall colors every day. Looking forward to a drive into the Cascades next week for lunch in Roslyn at The Brick. Melinda 1 month ago Not so good on this one, 6/10. First few were easy, after that, not so. Mike L 1 month ago Didn’t see a question about Mayflower Compact. This would have been 128 years after Columbus’s first discovery in 1942. Columbus was travelling for Spain and the Mayflower pact was from England. SAW 1 month ago 80%, albeit wrong answers… T. Anderson 1 month ago 8/10. Not bad for me! Danm 1 month ago so, who knew how Chris was when he sailed?? Anyhow 6 right. Those I actually knew, no guesses. ROBERT 1 month ago FYI, there is a statue of Columbus in Barcelona, Spain, that you can actually enter and go up some stairs to look out over the harbor through Columbus’ eyes. It’s a bit cramped though and I banged my head a couple of times. I really thought that would have entered somwhere in one of these quizzes, but I guess it isn’t that big a deal, even though I, for one, was truly impressed.
