Patty L 3 years ago 8/10…. Is it time to start shopping for Christmas? I am a bit of a procrastinator! ???? Dianne Toledo 3 years ago 6/10 I’m amazed at the number of gift cards not used. Carol 3 years ago 7 out of 10 isn’t bad. Thought way more shopping in 2019 was done online and had no idea how much was left over on gift cards! Gina Nakagawa 3 years ago Jesus received exactly zero gifts on His birthday. Angels sang, shepherds came to visit, but there is no record of gifts until the Wise Men (Magi, Kings) came at a much later date brining with them gold, frankincense and myrrh. That is why, in some cultures, presents are not exchanged until January 6, the traditional date of the arrival of the Magi. The answer indicated is not correct. Susan P 3 years ago 5/10 Obviously, I am not the usual Christmas shopper. But, this quiz should tell people that gift cards are not really a great gift if $3,000,000,000 worth are never spent. Wasted money. Personally, I do not like to receive gift cards. Many have expiration dates and that puts a burden on me to use them before that happens. Mike Shea 3 years ago Sorry to burst your bubble, but we don’t know how many wise men brought gifts to Jesus. See Matthew 1:1 ff. The text says simply “wise men” and does not give us a number. The correct answer would be “More than one.” They also did not arrive until Jesus was around 2 years of age, they found him in a house, and they did NOT follow a star to Israel, only from Herod’s residence to Bethlehem and the house in which they found the “young child,” Jesus. Read it to get the straight scoop. Merry Christmas! Jim Shedd 3 years ago 6/10. Guess I still have a lot to learn about Christmas Mike 3 years ago Actually the wise men did follow the star to Jerusalem (in Israel) not just to Bethlehem (which is also in Israel) according to Matthew 2:1-2. Matthew 2:1. Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea (or Judea in some Translations) in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,2. Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his STAR in the east, and are come to worship him. T. Anderson 3 years ago 5/10 but I don’t feel bad that I don’t know how much is lost on unused gift cards or how much on-line shopping, etc. Steven 3 years ago 6/10 I’m obviously not as X-mas smart as I thought I was. Mary Moore 3 years ago 7/10 – am amazed at the amount of unused gift cards. Roxanne 3 years ago Yes, three gifts were given so people assume there were only 3 wise men. I’m shocked at the gift cards that go unused! ROBERT 3 years ago I was going to correct you on the number of wise men, but several others beat me to it. However contrary to popular belief, it doesn’t say that the angels sang, but that they proclaimed “Peace on earth, good will towards men”. Still, I only got 7 of 10. wolverine70 3 years ago 7/10 Bob 3 years ago The Bible does not tell us how many Magi visited Jesus. We do know that three gifts were presented. wpDiscuz240Would love your thoughts, please comment.x()x| ReplyInsert Login Login Join Renew Member Benefits Newsline Member Benefits Advocacy Our Actions About Advocacy Issues Get Involved Weekly Update Annual Report Find Your Representative AMAC App Better for America Podcast Book Club AMAC Blog FAQ About Us Overview Our Team Our Stance on Key Issues Magazine Medicare Games Voice Your Opinion in AMAC Polls AMAC in the Media AMAC Action AMAC Foundation Social Security Guarantee Prime Directives Brief Prime Directives Details Sweepstakes Contact Advertise with AMAC Terms & Conditions Privacy Policy
