Don’t remember ever seeing the movie in #5, and don’t remember ever hearing the little drummer boy’s name. Rose 8 months ago Always watch ACharlie Brown Christmas, ever since it first aired in 1965 19&41 8 months ago My favorite is The 1951 A Christmas Carol with Alastair Sim. I first saw it in 1983 during the summer. There were portions of it that moved me to tears. Sim fleshed out Ebenezer Scrooge like no one else has ever done. Judy Jamison 8 months ago My own personal favorites are made for TV specials–A Charlie Brown Christmas and Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol. The former of course features Linus reading the account of Jesus’s birth from the Gospel of Luke, and the latter is a charming introduction to Dickens’s classic story. I didn’t read that in its entirety until I was an adult, and the cartoon includes quite a bit of the original dialogue. I watched it with my eight year old grandson last night, and we both really enjoyed it. I told him we’ll read the book together when he’s a bit older. He is attending a classical Christian school, so maybe they’ll introduce him to Dickens before I have the opportunity. Sad how our culture has degraded. Merry Christmas to all you AMAC readers, and God bless us every one. Raymond Summrs 8 months ago 8/10 Some guess lucky and unlucky. I like to watch Scrooge, because it reminds me of me.
