That’s the only one I guessed, and incorrectly. Sam 9 months ago 10/10. I was lucky enough to go to school (back in the ‘Stone Age’) when actual factual information was taught. Plus, I have read more than my share of books. It is not the fault of today’s kids they are not being educated…… Rhonda 9 months ago I wonder how many of our woke schools teach this information? Ray R. 9 months ago 9/10. Also missed Hedy Lamar. Joearcher 9 months ago American Inventors & Inventions You got 9 out of 10! Missed the Hedy Lamar question J. FARLEY 9 months ago 10 for 10 super easy, give us more test like this one! God Bless AMAC and its members! God Bless America! Data Design 9 months ago Don’t beat yourself up or complain about the school system if you missed the Hedy Lamarr question. This was little known until just a few years ago. I watched her bio on You Tube and there were a couple of “Did you know?” type questions on quiz shows that I caught. I am pretty sure this was “discovered” only because of our latest breakthrough with the internet and bluetooth and wifi where someone accidentally found the facts of Miss Lamarr’s patents that she filed. Have a great day! CPerrin 9 months ago 9/10. For those stating they were taught in the Stone Age, I’m 77, so I was also taught well, but I believe anyone who got 10/10 made a lucky guess on Hedy Lamarr. Obviously, my guess wasn’t lucky. Maybe, if you grew up in California (near Hollywood), you were actually taught that Hedy Lamarr was anything but an actress. The rest of the country (even in the Stone Age) never heard this bit of trivia. Melinda C 9 months ago Thought I was on a roll until Hedy Lamarr, the only one I missed. Guess I paid attention in history class. Shrinque 9 months ago Re: Question 8 for Mel Brooks fans: That’s Headley! Broccoli Free Zone 9 months ago Who invented the television? Philo T. Farnsworth was excluded? Mike L 9 months ago Surprised AMAC did not list Josephine Cochrane, the inventor of the dishwasher. She was from Ohio, and invented and patented the dishwasher back in 1886, started a company, Garis-Cochrane, to manufacture dishwashers. Later that company became KitchenAid. Danm80 9 months ago So who knew ol’ Hedy LaMarr Helped invent Wi-Fi?? That was my only miss! Richard 9 months ago 10/10, not bad for a public school kid. I enjoyed history and science, guess that’s why I became a nurse. T Smith 9 months ago The Wright brothers lived in Ohio. They were only in North Carolina on vacation when they tested their airplane. Ben 9 months ago Good grief! What’s with all the thumbs down on the scores? Did someone miss their bran muffin this morning? If I ask a question like that do I no longer qualify for the M in Amac? Oh, and 9 out of 10. Missed the Hedy Lamarr question. I will try to do better next time. Judith Dunn 9 months ago Well I picked Nikola because he doesn’t get the credit he deserves John 22 days ago This app won’t submit my answer on who invented the light bulb. KateL 8 months ago 9/10. Give us something challenging Peggy 9 months ago 9/10 I knew the Hedy Lamarr question, but missed the George Eastman question. HaHa actually, I knew that one too, but talked myself out of it. Grrr Elaine 9 months ago 8/10. Happy with that. Cathy 9 months ago 10/10 is a first for me! Thoroughly enjoyed this quiz. I wholeheartedly agree with Sam. I went to school back in the ‘Stone Age’ too — when teachers took pride in being a teacher. Some of these names wouldn’t even ring a bell (pardon the pun :)) with some of today’s youth. Have safe weekend everyone! Lilly 9 months ago 8/10 Raymond Summers 9 months ago 10/10 Coco 9 months ago 9/10 Ithought #8 was a trick question .
