In this thought-provoking discussion, Steve Gruber and AMAC CEO Rebecca Weber dive into the implications of Kamala Harris’s recent decisions and statements regarding faith and abortion. As polling shows Donald Trump gaining ground, they explore whether Harris’s stance could alienate Catholic voters—a demographic crucial to the upcoming election.

Steve Gruber: as the Catholics vote, America generally votes, and that’s true. And right now, in the latest polling, Donald Trump is plus 10. I don’t think this is going to help bring the Catholics home. Here with me to discuss, CEO of AMAC, Rebecca Weber. Rebecca, nice to see you. what do you make of this?
Rebecca Weber: Yeah, Steve, I thought it was quite shocking.
every presidential candidate has attended since 1984, but I do think it’s really her latest action that reveals her true anti Christian anti Catholic values. I think it was a panic decision perhaps, and could be seen as a snub to Catholic voters, could be remembered as a historic error.
you Kamala Harris posted on X and she said, one does not have to abandon their faith. Or deeply held beliefs to agree the government and Donald Trump should not be telling a woman what to do with her body. What I found was interesting there, Steve, was even NFL coach Tony Dungy called her out and he asked her a very good question.
He said exactly what faith are you talking about when you say that you don’t have to abandon it to, to support abortion. And he went on to, to quote some, scripture. but this is really, I think more and more Americans are recognizing that in Kamala Harris. She supports unlimited abortion up until the ninth month.
That’s not a Christian position. it’s deeply opposed to millions of believers like me who believe that every human life is worthy of love, care, and protection.
Steve Gruber: I read this story recently and I was going to see if I could find it real quick. Kamala Harris skipped, a dinner here. Not that long ago.
She was so stressed out by it. They held a mock dinner, a practice dinner party. You might’ve read about that. So I wonder if this runs even deeper. Maybe it’s not about the Catholic thing. Maybe it’s the fact that she cannot function in public. Now it can be taken as a stub to the Catholics, which it is, but maybe the problem is more systemic with her being unable to deal with a situation like that.
And if she can’t deal with a dinner party. How’s she gonna deal with world leaders?
Rebecca Weber: how is she going to deal with world leaders? She has been flip flopping on so many issues. we know that she clearly supports funding gender transition surgeries for minors. that’s really, I call it child abuse, Steve.
And we know that she, her radical policies actually make Barack Obama look like a moderate Democrat, because she’s, enacted these policies to allow boys to compete in girls sports, enter girls. Locker rooms. So when you hold on to those, what I call anti faith positions, and she recognizes that she’s going to be around people of faith.
How does she respond? she’s underperforming with Hispanic Americans, with African American communities. These are folks that really cherish and embrace their Christian values. So I think for those who care about protecting innocent life, our children, people who really want to save lives.
safeguard, our right to live by our values of faith. there is really only one choice in this election and that’s Donald J. Trump. And there’s, that is just the truth. I think Catholic Americans are going to, have a major voice in this presidential election. I was, another article posted on amac.
us. goes on to speak to some of the demographics. And what’s interesting, Steve, is 43 percent of Pennsylvania Catholics are registered Republicans, 46 percent in Pennsylvania. these are 2014 numbers are registered Democrats. So the Catholic, demographic is higher in, in certain states like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin.
and, a handful of other states, so I do think that, people are paying attention and I want to go back to seeing our,
Steve Gruber: I want to go back to what you pointed out here, the collapse of her numbers with Hispanic voters down 14 points. From where Joe Biden was with Hispanics in 2020, 14 points down.
Okay. Nine points down with the black community, but I’m a Hispanic community. These are people that are by and large, Roman Catholics, the larger percentage of Hispanics or Roman Catholics than any other faith. This could be doubly problematic for her Hispanic vote, right? I’ll give you the last word on that, Rebecca.
This is just circle that and make sure that people understand. Obviously Hispanics, Roman Catholic background snubbed by Kamala Harris. It doesn’t sell.
Rebecca Weber: And we know that the Biden Harris regime, they’re arresting pro life protesters. they’re, continuing to target nuns. Obama did this really forcing nuns to go against, violate their faith.
the attack on our girls. That’s going to impact Catholic education. Kamala Harris has really made it clear that she’s going to continue all of this and a lot more. so she’s got really an anti life agenda. It goes beyond the evil of abortion to so many other anti life policies. And so here at AMAC, we’re just sounding the alarm and informing our members, know what she stands for and know that she’s for a lot of things that you are not, especially if you’re a faithful Catholic, just flies in the face of everything that we believe. so much.
Steve Gruber: Little Sisters of the Poor, that comes to mind, doesn’t it? These people being abused about this. real quickly, if you’re not an AMAC member, you should be. They’ve got some great specials right now that you can get on board for next to nothing. Go to AMAC.US/Voice, join today.
Be with like minded people in your community and 2 million strong and growing. Rebecca, thank you for being here.
Rebecca Weber: Thank you, Steve.
