DAVID BRODY: All right, let’s move now to illegal immigration and more specifically, the Biden Harris border disorder, specifically the northern border. So far this year, there have been 20, 000 encounters in the northern sector. That number represents a 95 percent increase over last year. And by the way, those are just the people we know about.
So why don’t you crank that number up a notch for reaction? Let’s welcome in Robert Charles, Robert, spokesperson for AMAC and previously served as an assistant secretary of state. He’s also a 10 year naval intelligence officer. What a resume, Robert. Great to have you here. we’re gonna get to a Max recent boot camp.
Bootcamp for boomers in a moment. First, the border. We know it’s a top concern for all Americans. talk to us a little bit about the border, particularly the northern border and that being a concern for seniors, quite frankly, everybody for that matter.
BOBBY CHARLES: Yeah, David, seniors, of course, are just being shellacked by this illegal immigration, assault on rule of law.
And, and we’re seeing it in all kinds of ways, say public safety in general, as well as, diminished, benefits, et cetera, but the northern border and I’m right here in Maine on the northern border. border at the moment. the northern border is a serious issue, and I don’t think people realize that when you let go the kite string, in one place, it just drifts everywhere.
And so you’ve got, ultimately, the southern border is what we all talk about. But the northern border is a very serious matter, and that what’s happened is the drug traffickers that are bringing fentanyl into this state main, at record numbers, but across the northern border as well as illegal aliens have discovered That, although we’re barely policing the southern border, we’re, almost not policing the northern border.
And that’s where they’re going. I’ll also expand and say as it relates to seniors, the assault on rule of law, we grow up under the influence of the world war 2 veterans, Korean war veterans. We believe that rule of law was, a real thing. We fought for it. it, meant something.
and what we’re witnessing here is across the board, David, just a breakdown. and it, infuriates Frank, frankly, a lot of the AMAC members, they are, they look at all their pension going away. They look at their public safety going away. They look at their grandkids being assaulted by fentanyl and being assaulted generally.
and this illegal immigration crisis is a real thing. This is not theoretical and it’s only getting bigger, which is another reason we have to step up and start voting for things that turn it around.
DAVID BRODY: Yeah. And speaking of a crisis, the judiciary as well, obviously the Supreme Court in pretty good conservative hands now, but that could change in a heartbeat.
And that’s what Democrats and the left want to do. What are seniors concerned about most when it comes to either the Supreme Court or just the judiciary overall? Because this living, breathing constitution can really affect seniors rights going forward.
BOBBY CHARLES: you’re right about the rights part, and I’ll certainly give you a, moment on that.
the phraseology you just used that things could change in a heartbeat. is, poignant. literally we almost lost a Supreme Court justice a couple of years ago. the rule of law ultimately ends with the sanctity and the preservation of respect for the Supreme Court, and this administration has not only, ignored.
Supreme Court decisions. They have demeaned the Supreme Court. This election ultimately is in many ways about the future of the Supreme Court, a couple of justices and all of a sudden you’ve got one party government and you control everything. And the goal was a separation of powers and balance of powers that our founders, proposed and ultimately put into the constitution all the way back to Montesquieu.
The idea was that you protect the rights of seniors, of everybody. By having a balance of power, they have fundamentally disordered that. So you have Merrick Garland right now doing surveillance of the investigators on the Hill, Republicans and Democrats on Grassley’s oversight committee doing secret surveillance.
We now realize for the last six years, the people within the justice department ultimately now him, and is completely unaccountable. If we lose the Supreme court, we lose every right that we hold precious from the first and second. in fourth, fifth and sixth amendments to literally our ability to keep our own homes safe.
And that’s the problem.
DAVID BRODY: We have about a minute left. Let’s get to AMAC because boy, seniors are making a difference out there. AMAC seniors, especially, you had that AMAC bootcamp, a bootcamp for boomers. It was a huge success. Tell us more about it. And what about the next one? You got another one coming up.
You always have these bootcamp for boomers. Big deal.
BOBBY CHARLES: It really is, it’s a phrase. There’s Rebecca right there, it’s a phrase that we use to get your attention and keep it, but it’s training for hundreds of people, 450 people getting trained in long Island, as well as having luminaries there from, Lee’s Zeldin, to, to, Kirk Cameron talking about the urgency of the moment, how you get out in your community and get things done.
Honestly, AMAC is turning the dial and I would encourage anybody, if you care about this country, if you care about this election, if you really want to do something or you just want to make sure that other people, are doing things that will help ultimately save this country, joining AMAC at AMAC.US is the key.
We, I was at this event. It was incredible. I was sitting next to him. Peter Navarro talking about, I use the phrase because to me, it, rings true. When Kennedy went to Berlin, he said, Ich bin ein Berliner, as in we’re all protecting freedom. we are all people like Peter Navarro and Donald Trump today, because if they can come after those kinds of people, they’re going to come after us.
And freedom is, one generation away from disintegration. And that’s where we are.
DAVID BRODY: Robert Charles, great to have you on the show as always. Thank you so much, sir. Thank you. All right time for t baits denver the opening bell sponsored by AMAC
