Thoughtful cuts in federal spending are not just prudent, they are essential to the long-term health of our economy and the preservation of the American Dream for future generations.

AMAC Action Statement of Support for “The One, Big, Beautiful Bill”

AMAC Action, the advocacy affiliate of the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC), with over 2 million members nationwide, supports the “One Big Beautiful Bill” as a bold and necessary step toward securing the financial future of both our nation and its seniors.

This legislation delivers meaningful tax relief by expanding the small business deduction to 23%, encouraging entrepreneurship and helping preserve the legacy of family-owned businesses, many of which are operated by or employ our members. Importantly, the bill also provides long-overdue relief from the death tax, ensuring that seniors can pass down the fruits of their labor without excessive government interference.

We are especially encouraged by the bill’s provision for an additional deduction for seniors. In an era of rising costs, this measure helps ensure that older Americans can live with dignity and financial stability in retirement.

The “One Big Beautiful Bill” also takes aim at long-standing issues we’ve fought to address. By improving transparency and regulating spread pricing practices by Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs), the bill brings integrity back to prescription drug pricing – an issue that directly affects the health and wallets of our members.

Finally, we commend the bill’s serious approach to fiscal responsibility. Thoughtful cuts in federal spending are not just prudent, they are essential to the long-term health of our economy and the preservation of the American Dream for future generations.

This bill is a win for seniors, for taxpayers, and for the future of our country. We urge swift passage and full support from lawmakers who value liberty, accountability, and the financial security of AMAC members across the country.

Sincerely,

Andrew J. Mangione Jr.
Senior Vice President

It’s good to see groups pushing for unity in laws. It must be hard to have all of these different interests in mind at the same time. I’m interested to know whether there are parts that might appeal to more specific groups that aren’t being talked about yet?

This bill seems promising for seniors and small businesses! The tax relief and PBM reforms could make a real difference. It’s like finally landing that perfect trick in Snake Game – a satisfying victory after navigating tricky terrain. Hopefully, these thoughtful cuts lead to long-term economic stability.

The support letter neglected to mention eliminating tax on Social Security. Promised, not delivered, and is actually double taxation.
