Calls-to-Action
Michigan Call-to-Action
AMAC members in Michigan responded to a call to action by sending over 71,500 messages to the state legislature opposing a slate of bad election bills. This campaign succeeded in stopping Democrats’ attempt to register 16-year-olds to vote and preserved cameras for monitoring some ballot drop boxes.
Calls-to-action are still active for JP Morgan Chase, the HEALTH Act, and the PATIENT Act. We are looking to add co-sponsors for both the HEALTH Act and the PATIENT Act, so please tell your representatives to step up and co-sponsor them!
Chapter Meetings
It was a busy week for chapter meetings!
In NC-02, Chapter members discussed audits on state agencies and boards; FL-08 heard an election integrity update from Kerri Toloczko of the Election Integrity Network; and KS-04 met Chief Tammy Snow of the Wichita Fire Department and Celeste Racette, candidate for mayor of Wichita.
Two congressional districts held their first-ever Chapter meetings! CO-05 Chapter members heard from officials from the El Paso County (CO) GOP and discussed the current state of the county and the party. In OH-01, Chapter members discussed AMAC’s mission, initiatives, and pending federal and state legislation and listened to a representative from Americans for Prosperity – Ohio.
All-State Chapter Meeting
New Jersey had its first All-State Chapter Meeting (a virtual meeting for all New Jersey AMAC members)! New Jersey State Senator Edward Durr (District 3) briefly spoke and answered audience questions and Rosemary Becchi, founder and president of Jersey 1st, addressed economic and social policies in the best interests of New Jersey families and businesses.
Quote of the Week
“You can’t always control circumstances. However, you can always control your attitude, approach, and response. Your options are to complain or to look ahead and figure out how to make the situation better.”
– Tony Dungy
