Maine Democrats Face Backlash After Party Insiders Override Voters

Denials, failures, and fools seem to come in threes – Peter three times denying Christ, three strikes ending at-bats, three stooges, now Maine’s antidemocratic Democrats betraying voters three times.

Like most Mainers, I love our work ethic and working people, farmers, fishermen, woodsmen, our rugged coast, mountains, and lakes, but Maine’s Democratic Party is a breathtaking disgrace.

First, as the world now knows – and it has literally made Maine a laughing stock globally – Maine’s Democratic Party picked a Nazi-tattooed, Communist, Black-hating,  woman-beating, veteran-mocking rapist to be their candidate for the US Senate.

Then, either by pre-plan or in response to new allegations of rape and fraud, they decided to dump this Bernie Sanders Socialist (Sanders selected him to run), whom my Democratic gubernatorial opponent happily took an endorsement from and praised, and threw just him under the bus.

In the second shocking departure from substance, honesty, and democracy, Maine’s anti-democratic Democrats disposed of Graham Platner after his nomination, just forced him out,  disenfranchising 150,000 of their own Democratic voters.

For the record, his tattoo, prejudices, abuse, and sexual deviations aside, Platner actually received more Democratic primary votes than any candidate in Maine history. Nevertheless, the Democrat insiders – those who wanted the power and support Graham had – nixed him, over, done, out.

In a remarkable, incredibly anti-Democratic turn – topping even their rejection through “rank choice voting” of their own top vote getters in the governor’s race primary and run for the second congressional district, they bagged all that, including their beloved rank choice. Insiders picked a replacement for Graham, who – we all know it would happen – was a consummate Augusta Insider.

Then, in what is probably the hardest to swallow betrayal for traditional and Graham Democrats, an utterly corrupt group of Augusta insiders, the ultimate anti-democratic Democrats, personified by Hannah Pingree, my opponent for governor, and Janet Mills, the outgoing Democrat governor, picked one of their own, boldly slapping Maine’s Democratic voters in the face.

They picked a guy who has, for 22 years, been in Augusta, opposite of an outsider, bilked the taxpayers for tens of thousands for himself in a fraudulent house-flipping scheme, took $160,00 in undue travel money, and voted for every tax, spending hike, illegal alien benefit, legalization of crime, needle giveaway, and fraud pushed by Maine’s anti-democratic Democrat legislature.

The whole thing is breathtaking, as if someone is reading Marx, Lenin, and Mao at night, putting them into practice by day. It is a disgrace to Mainers, to Democrats who trusted the system, to Independents who wanted fairness, to others who want to be proud of our political process.

Bottom line: Maine’s anti-democratic Democrats have made a mockery of Maine, climbing over each other to grab and retain power, if not by twisting outcomes to defeat plurality winners and even majority winners, insiders sure they are the next king or queen, no thought of the People’s will, no understanding of how distressed, outraged, anxious, and even fearful people are of their antics.

In a one-liner, for those who just want honest government, growth, affordability, and accountability: Time for change. This is the year we get back to some notion of normal, because – we must.

So, in November will the Maine voters elect the Democrat candidate because they always vote for Democrats and expect something different once again, or will they decide to change their vote and vote for the Republican candidate? MMGA. Make Maine great again! Dump the Dem’s!

Yet here we are. If America’s voting democrats wake up and begin cleaning up their party instead of, like blind and stupid lemmings, continue voting for anything with a D after their name, then Marxism wins and we all of us lose. But it’s no surprise, when you talk to any registered dem these days, they’re a combination of stupid, self-contradicting hypocrites who follow this ideology like zombies. It’s the same here in Minnesota, or every blue state or big city. Unreal that “intelligent” humanity has fallen so far. Of course, look at the nation’s “intelligentsia” in the education system.

This is the alarm bell for our nation. The midterms are already infested with 40 some far left socialist people thinking they will get into our congress and reshape America. AOC and Bernie Sanders and Elisabeth Warren are supporting a Muslim candidate in Michigan to replace Gary Peters. The Mamdani tidal wave is here. We better support and vote for the GOP. Yes, they are all not perfect, but what would you rather have. Communism or good old capitalism.

The last sentence in this article – ” This is the year we get back to some notion of normal , because – we must .” That sure enough is right to the point .And. it makes sense that the ethical people in Maine ,the farmers, the fishermen ,the woodsmen, all of the right thinking men and women of Maine who are respectable will have a normal place to call their home state. Normal will overcome despicable – the lessons of history prove that.Adjustments are always needed ,in any human endeavor. Things can get complicated in political matters ,so a combination of adjustments are often needed for good to triumph over evil. The message that normal, good people should keep in mind is that they are not alone – normal, good people with their sense of ethics all over the Country can be thought of as allies . These reports on the situation in Maine that you write.Bobby help Victory will be achieved – because it must . This is big-time political science going on in the Pine Tree State and determination to have a normal, respectable , responsible system is something honorable for the entire Nation.

If I lived in Maine and I were a Democrat, just one look at the trainwreck/clown show selection of candidates for Senator would have me voting Republican – forever.

What a picture! Worth a thousand words! What a loser. And the tragedy is he probably would have been elected, by low-info voters and their ‘herders’.

Thanks again, RBC, for the great “read”, and great information…

Thank you for your article. Yes, the Democratic party is not a party for the people, but a ogligarchy for the rich few posing as a friend to the people by all their accusations of their opponents, but anything but their friend. They are very devious and deceitful; revolting. We must stay awake and vigilant.

It would seem that now is a good time for Maine democrats, to at least register Independent, or to be safe and keep the same, vote for Susan Collins. The democrats should and probably do know that this has happened before, when the President they voted for, got kicked out for an unelected, Harris. Folks, this is a bunch you cannot trust.
The leaders of the Democrat Party, and they force you to accept their way.

Unless you’re a brain dead democrat lifer you should do that but I’d bet the people will express their desire to have business as usual.

Robert Charles is one of Amac’s best writers!
But!
This article is riddled with misspellings and other simple grammatical errors!

Amac is a great organization that provides good representation for seniors and retirees as well as good benefits,
But!
I asked you to join with me in a campaign to urge them to ditch using AI to proof articles and actually hire proofreaders because these mistakes are simplistic, distracting, embarrassing, and disgusting!

They don’t do Robert Charles or AMAC any favors!

HIRE ACTUAL PROOF READERS, PLEASE!!
