In what will surely go down as one of President Donald Trump’s signature foreign policy triumphs, the final Israeli hostages held by Hamas were released on Monday as part of a sweeping ceasefire and prisoner-exchange deal he personally helped broker.
Following the prisoner exchange, Trump addressed the Israeli Knesset and hailed the breakthrough as a turning point for peace in the Middle East. It was also another bright feather in his cap as one of the greatest peacemakers in modern history.
Under the agreement, all 20 living Israeli hostages were returned to Israeli territory just hours before Trump landed in Israel. In parallel, Israeli authorities completed the release of 1,968 Palestinian prisoners and detainees as part of the swap.
Even before Air Force One touched down, Trump was greeted as a hero, with a massive “THANK YOU” written out across the beach in the path of the president’s plane. In Tel Aviv’s “Hostage Square,” crowds erupted in cheers. Televised scenes showed tearful family reunions in hospitals as the freed hostages were ushered into the arms of loved ones.
But the dramatic moment wasn’t just about emotion. Trump used his Knesset appearance to drive home a message of strength turned into peace. He opened his address by declaring, “The skies are calm, the guns are silent, the sirens are still—and the sun rises on a Holy Land that is finally at peace.”
The President repeatedly framed the deal as proof that bold American leadership can, in fact, reshape war into diplomacy. “This is the historic dawn of a new Middle East,” he told Israeli lawmakers.
In a moment that broke diplomatic norms, Trump even called on Israel’s President Isaac Herzog to pardon Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is currently on trial for alleged corruption. While some lawmakers disrupted his remarks—one holding a “Recognize Palestine” sign – those interruptions were quickly suppressed as Trump’s vision dominated the discourse.
He pressed Israel to seize the moment. “You’ve done all you can do by force of arms,” Trump asserted. “Now it is time to translate battlefield victories into peace, prosperity and stability for the region.”
The Israeli prime minister, for his part, thanked Trump for his “pivotal leadership.” He described the moment as the culmination of Israel’s two-year struggle against Hamas, declaring the country had “won all it could by force of arms.” Netanyahu’s acknowledgment underscores how central U.S. involvement – and specifically Trump’s role – was in bringing both sides to the table.
While key questions remain, particularly regarding the future of Gaza and whether Hamas will disarm, Trump’s moment in the Knesset created real hope and optimism that a new era of diplomacy has begun.
He pledged that the U.S. would help oversee reconstruction, demilitarization, and eventual governance in Gaza, and that the peace plan he introduced in September, with its 20 actionable points would guide progress forward. In Trump’s own words, “the deal is only the beginning of our sacred commitment: peace, stability, and renewed hope for generations to come.”
In the closing moments of his speech, Trump urged unity and persistence, saying that history would judge this moment as the turning point when American resolve rewrote the future of the Middle East. The Knesset rose to its feet in sustained applause that echoed through the chamber as lawmakers demonstrated their gratitude.
To the skeptics who quietly mutter doubts, Trump offered his own answer: critics will always question whether Hamas will hold up its commitments or whether Gaza can be rebuilt. But if Trump’s record shows anything, it is that he has a propensity for defying the odds.
Indeed, this moment is hardly an isolated triumph. This latest agreement builds on a string of peace achievements—agreements with Armenia and Azerbaijan, normalization deals across the Middle East, and recent breakthroughs in Africa and Asia.
For Israel, it is the restoration of hope and the end of a dark chapter. For Trump, it may well be one of the crowning achievements of his presidency. But one thing that remains clear is that today’s return of hostages is a signal that when Washington leads with boldness, even the most entrenched conflicts can find a path toward piece.

This will seal his place in history as one of the greatest presidents on record. And give the Democrat party a group coronary. I love it! I am not tired of winning yet. As Donald Trump said his revenge to the Democrat party will be his success, and they can not Mar that
This shows what a STRONG president can accomplish. He has a strong mind, unlike his pathetic predecessor, and knows that Middle Eastern leaders respect strength. Joey had neither strength nor will to accomplish anything!
Promises made, promises kept! Love this president!!! God bless him!!!
Over the weekend, it dawned on me that I doubt Harris-Walz would have been able to accomplish this within 9 months of taking office.
Relationships with Netanyahu played a big part, as well as Jared Kushner. I wouldn’t be surprised if Huckabee had a part in this too. This is an accomplishment and I hope both sides give the Trump administration credit for peace. I think this was what Americans wanted.
This good for Israel and President Trump. Unfortunately, this is a temporary setback for those wanting the total destruction of Israel and the Jews. As stated before, Islamic terrorist groups will not honor any agreement with an infidel nation. They will just rebuild until they are ready to strike again. Eventually, Islamic nations in the Middle East with outside support will attack Israel as stated in Ez 38 and 39. Israel will prevail, but the world will force Israel to disarm which will lead into the Great Tribulation stated in the Bible. The world is in the End Times.
These 10 months have shown what an extraordinary leader can do. Trump is a global inspiration. GODSPEED to the US President.
It’s an embarrassment that all the middle eastern countries are calling President Trump the Great Peacemaker but go to NYC or anywhere in the USA and it’s crickets … The DEMS are showing that all the screaming they did to have peace in the middle east was all show for the camera because outside of Senator Fetterman there’s crickets …
the Democrat party should be ashamed of themselves but that would require humility and they have none …
The whole world will be skeptic for they stand with Hamas. Alas. I will take a quote from Golda Meir. “We don’t hate you because you kill our children we hate you because you make us kill your children.” That says it all. That is what president Trump tried to stop. The killing of innocent children and for what, a piece of sand, an ideology? Hamas has no support, except for Iran, from the Arab states. They are fighting a holy war, so called to make it right. Hamas started this war. Did they think Israel wouldn’t retaliate? 85 years ago 6 million of their fellow Jews were systematically annihilated. Were there demonstrations in the street for them and against the Nazis? Was there outrage from the other nations in Europe? Hell no. Many SS officers fled to Brazil some even came to the US. The Jews have been persecuted over and over again. Hamas wasn’t satisfied till they had eliminated all the Jews. Only those pro Palestinians demonstrators, including country leaders, gave Hamas incentive to keep on fighting. Not until President Trump showed the strength of America the tide turned. Will the Western World agree with all this? Of course not. They will send some group to stir up those in Hamas who don’t agree with this accord or peace process. Not until the whole world stands with Israel and America maybe then there will be peace in the Middle East for let’s say a century. It can happen people. Only when the people can decide their fate and not those in charge. Those that want to be in power over the people. The billionaires in Davos, members of the WEF. That want a global world without the strength of America. They need sheep and woke, unthinking people. Zombies that follow them blindly. My local paper has had no article about the hostages being released. Not one word. What does that say about the left and their propaganda outlet, the MSM. Thank you president Trump, thank you IDF soldiers. Without you we might have seen another genocide of the Jews. Until hate is eliminated from this world we have to be ever vigilant of those that will do us harm even from our fellow citizens and leaders.
the return of the hostages is the one bright spot. But release of slmost 2000 bloodthirsty and murderous Arabs, the sacrifice of almost 1200 young Israeli soldiers, the wounding of countless others, the bombing of Israeli cities (which is ongoing), is a huge price to pay.
this is not the end and it most certainly isn’t peace. Israel will have to pay more in blood before they learn the lesson they should have known from day 1: Erase the memory of Amalek from under the heaven.
Don’t be in such a great, bigly and beautiful hurry to proclaim “peace in our time,” reminiscent of an earlier proclamation of long ago, when soon thereafter a major “world conflict ensued. Always “trust, but verify.” And, “check your premises.”
A captured and confined wolf remains a wolf.
Praise God for His many blessings and His oversight/grace/direction given to those leaders who sought wisdom/strategy/agreement on how to return the hostages and to bring a rest from war. My prayer is always 1) that leaders will still keep their antennae up for any deception by the enemy and 2) that IDF soldiers will remain alert for any cloaked purpose of the almost 2,000 released Palestinian prisoners to resume their avowed intention of terrorism. In the Lord’s name,
I really rejoice the return of the alive hostages, whatever it took. This trade, 1,968, Palestinian hostage, for these innocent Israeli hostages was cruel. I understand their crimes were capital, this is where I disagree with the life without parole for murders. It truly is against Scripture. But so proud of our President Trump, he did the very best with what he had to do with, ie, ages of hatred.
My heart swelled this morning and I don’t even have kin or anyone involved. I love our president. He is the best in at least a century and is fast overcoming all the destructive things done by Obama and Biden. Despite what they tried to do to him, he stood tall and strong and Americans of all stripes saw that. He retook the WH despite all odds and thanks to a hapless, clueless opponent. Just look at what he accomplished in only 9 months! He built on the successes of his first term”: Jerusalem and the Abraham Accords, to continue to peace and he rebuilt our economy , too! Donald J. Trump has an important place in our nation’s history and is a world leader for historians to write about for centuries. I imagine the Dems, including the men, are clutching their pearls today, but they are already collaborating on how to damage him now. We must keep our eyes wide open for all offensive activities that will be coming from the Communist Democrats.
We’ll see. Don’t forget, this is Israel and the Middle East we are talking about. You can’t make a tiger change its stripes…
Is this the Peace mentioned in the NT Bible ??
Pre Tribulation, Rapture
I was just reading up on Cyrus the Great of Persia to whom Netanyahu compared President Trump today. Wow! he was a hero in the 6th century b.c. and does seem a wonderful leader & warrior with kindness and understanding and intelligence. History and the Bible have recorded his deeds as inspired by God. Here is my Wish: the current Persians (the Iranian mullahs) would wake up and follow the lead of their great hero, pt away their hate and their arms, and live in peace with ALL their neighbors instead of funding their savagery.
And during all this not a single mention is made of Israeli ongoing bombing of Lebanon in Israels ongoing demonic effort at ethnic cleansing of the entire region.
One can hope and pray that Iran with its ongoing self defense efforts will respond to the next Israeli attack on their nation by turning the UN invented nation of Israel into a flattened slab of smoldering carbon with no survivors left to continue leeching tens of billions annually from American taxpayers.
Good riddance.
Yes he did that is right and never again we need to say thanks to Mr President for helping that people because he was very very bad to them????
