FRANKLIN, TENN. – SEPT 14, 2025 — In a powerful display of faith, unity, and love, an estimated 3,000+ community members (WKRN) gathered yesterday evening in the historic Franklin town square to honor the life of Charlie Kirk. The crowd—made up of young men, women, children, and seniors—stood shoulder to shoulder for a two-hour vigil marked by prayer, song, and heartfelt tributes.

What emerged was not a political rally, but a resounding affirmation of shared humanity and divine connection. As one speaker declared to the crowd, “There is no left. There is no right. Only God.”

Many reflected that the tragedy, while heartbreaking, represents a turning point for our country—a call to return to God and to the foundational values that leaders like Kirk championed through Turning Point USA, his non-profit organization founded in 2012. Their mission remains: to identify, educate, train, and organize students to promote the principles of fiscal responsibility, free markets, and limited government.

Prayers for All, Including the Shooter

The vigil reflected not only mourning but also forgiveness and compassion. Attendees prayed for Kirk’s widow, Erika, and their two young children, who now face life without a father. They also lifted prayers for the shooter, echoing the belief that “we are all children of God, and we all deserve prayer.”

This spirit of mercy underscored the evening’s message: that love and faith are stronger than hatred or division.

An Outpouring of Community Love

Neighbors passed out free water bottles under the warm Tennessee sky. Groups held hands in prayer circles, strangers embraced, and angelic voices rose in song, sending chills through the square, weaving together the voices of a community united in grief yet uplifted by grace.

Those in attendance described the atmosphere as one of overwhelming love—“a beautiful ceremony that would make anyone grateful to be not only alive, but American.”

A Night of Unity

For two hours, Franklin’s town square became more than a gathering place—it became a sanctuary of remembrance, healing, and hope. The tribute embodied values of faith, family, and country, reminding all present of the unifying power of prayer.

As the night drew to a close, the crowd dispersed quietly, carrying with them the spirit of compassion that marked the evening—a testament to the enduring belief that even in tragedy, God’s love prevails.

A Turning Point for The Nation

Many reflected that the tragedy, while heartbreaking, represents a turning point for our country—a call to return to God and to the foundational values that leaders like Kirk championed through Turning Point USA.

I had a friend who was nonbinary and Charlie said let me talk to him. I thought he’d try to tell him there are only two genders but no. He said — you should be who you are. Life is complicated and we have alot of choice to make and God set us all on a path. Charlie had a lot of queer friends and he didn’t pray for them he prayed with them. He said God is love. Difference is beautiful.

How long before we forget this moment. Unfortunately, too soon. This young man’s dreams and inspiration cannot be forgotten, please God.

Events like this are beautiful and therapeutic but until there is a consensus among a majority that all marxism must be eliminated from the education process nothing will change. Brainwashed robots are being produced at this moment. Charlie did a thousand times more than his share of the work. Now its our turn.

Charlie Kirk did name his organization correctly. His death, I hope, will be the Turning Point this country needs. We, as a country, have been given a second chance at turning US around. Those out there who vote for these Democratic thugs need to have an epiphany, that they are just that, thugs, bullies, hateful people who only live to be in power. Stop putting them into powerful positions. Root out those who spew this kind of hatred. Learn all you can about your local government officials, from school board members to the President. Stop the complacency. Get out and vote against these people. Show them we will not be bullied or controlled. We have the power. WE MUST USE IT….NOW. I turned away from the Democratic party for this reason, and will never go back. If a Republican does this, do not vote for them either. It works both ways. And do not fall for the Socialist lies either. They are wolves in sheep’s clothing. They say what people want to hear, but when they get into power, they do not live up to their “promises” and ruin everything they touch. Learn from history people.
