Look at the crowds in Washington, D.C., protesting President Donald Trump’s crackdown on crime. Who do you see? Not the mothers from Anacostia who’ve lost their sons to street violence. Not the churchgoers in Southeast who just want to walk home without fear. No—what you see are aging white hippies with protest signs, desperate to relive their glory days of the 1960s.
Vice President JD Vance and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said it best on their recent visit to Union Station: These protesters aren’t the black community. They’re old white liberals, shouting on behalf of people who never asked them to. Because deep down, the black community knows the truth: Trump’s crackdown is saving black lives. And that’s exactly why the Left is fuming.
Black families don’t want lectures. We don’t want platitudes about “equity” from people who retreat to million-dollar condos after the rally ends. We want safety. We want to know that kids can play outside without dodging bullets. We want to know our grandparents can ride the bus without being attacked. Safety is the ultimate form of justice and white liberals pretending otherwise are lying. Not just to themselves, but to us.
Crime doesn’t hit Georgetown. It hits Southeast Washington. It hits the neighborhoods the protesters wouldn’t dare walk through at night. And the statistics don’t lie: The vast majority of homicide victims in this city are black. Every time a repeat offender is released, every time the police are told to stand down, it’s black lives put at risk.
So who benefits when Trump takes the handcuffs off the police and puts them back on criminals? The very people the protesters claim to represent. And that’s the Left’s worst nightmare: that black Americans might actually be safer under policies they despise.
And now, Trump has announced that the crackdown isn’t stopping with the District of Columbia. His administration is preparing to expand this tough-on-crime strategy to other Democrat-run inner cities plagued by violence. Places like Chicago and Baltimore that have been decimated by progressive policies and soft-on-crime delusion. For decades, liberal mayors and city councils have turned their backs on the very communities they claim to fight for, leaving ordinary people at the mercy of criminals. Thank God we finally have a president that is saying enough is enough.
Yet surely, however, his critics will scream “authoritarianism.” They’ll cry about “over-policing.” But those critics don’t live in the neighborhoods where gunfire is the lullaby at night. They don’t send their kids to schools where gangs recruit in the hallways. They don’t sit in churches with bullet holes in the windows. We do. And we know that real justice starts with real safety.
But here’s the kicker: When black conservatives, pastors, or parents stand up and say we support tough-on-crime policies, the same white liberals who chant “Black Lives Matter” turn around and call us “tokens” or “sellouts.” Translation: They’ll only listen to black voices when we parrot their politics.
The truth is simple. Most black Americans want what every American wants. Safe streets, stable communities, and the right to live without fear. That doesn’t make us “inauthentic.” It makes us real.
Real justice isn’t a slogan on a protest sign. It’s a grandmother in Anacostia finally able to walk home without being robbed. It’s a young man in Southeast living long enough to see his 18th birthday. And if Trump’s plan expands that reality from Washington to cities across America, then every life saved will stand as proof that the Left’s ideology has failed and that law and order works.
So let’s call it what it is: These protests aren’t about black lives. They’re about white liberals clinging to an ideology that keeps us unsafe. And if that makes them angry, so be it.
Because black people want safety, too. And no amount of whining from old white hippies is going to change that.

Well I’m an old hippie but I’m certainly not a liberal, not by any stretch of the imagination. But it is definitely the Democratic liberals protesting against stopping crime. Even as a party the Democrat party has no idea what stance to take on crime. That speaks volumes. Of course how can they stand up against what they’re actively involved in, all their policies promote crime. You will note that every city that has a major crime problem is run by a Democrat. Coincidence? I think not, and they think they are capable of running this country. They’re capable of running this country all right right into the ground! I daily thank the Lord for saving Donald Trump’s life. He is slowly turning this wreckage around and turning it back into the country we love. I for one I’m not tired of winning ????
I think this article should be on the the front page (above the fold) of every major news paper, all across America. C.J. Pearson, thank you for sharing the TRUTH. The crackdown on criminals, especially repeat offenders is the first step. Getting women and men to work together and agree that the whole family matters, no matter what their skin color is, is critical to changing our nation’s future and making every major city safe again.
What you say CJ is the truth, but it leaves out the systemic destruction of the nuclear family resulting from Democrat welfare policies and the resultant lack of parenting.
The same crowd that was marching in the sixties protesting against the man and the Vietnam war, which they’ve managed to evade by hiding in lecture halls which they occasionally attended or behind orthodontics. Their contemporaries who served and came back were treated by them as murderers and lepers. No sense of decency then, none today.

CJ is mostly right, but he fails to mention that red, brown and yellow communities are just as screwed by these people as blacks. I don’t know about the poor white communities, but my guess is they’ve been just as screwed as the rest of us.

So very well said. Every American has a right to not live in fear, no matter what race or color. It sickens me to see what the left has done to inner cities. When I grew up, white, black, brown could walk down the street without fear. Bring that back Trump, we’re behind you.
Well, if the blacks want safer streets, then they have to stop killing each other. That would be the first step, Then secondly, they need to wok with the police when they witness a crime and not withhold info that could help solve black on black crime. Also they have to stop with the five finger discounts at stores. Just a few things that might help
Please remember that it was old white hippies who told you had to live in fed housing, accept food stamps, etc. All things that kept you oppressed.
Trump is giving a chance for the Black Communities to get their own neighborhoods back. This will only happen, if the Communities, back their Police. If they don’t, nothing will change. The people who live there know the trouble makers, they have been too afraid to come forward, and rightly so. They know that, yes the police will arrest the bad, but the Liberal Judges will release them. Until that stops the communities will not change.

If it legal for the President to send in National Guard troops to demoncrat run blue cities and states, then I am all for it. Red states leaders should follow the President’s example and utilize the National Guard if and where additional law enforcement is needed. The citizens of the cities and state need to take back their neighborhoods and demand their leaders do everything in their power to eliminate crime. Any elected officials who refuse to combat crime by upholding the law need to arrested and charge with at being accessories to crimes against the people, this would include sheriffs and police chiefs.. Once law and order are restored, the National Guard can stand down.
Am not “an old hippie” although I am white; we don’t choose color when we are born! We all, without skin, bleed red, poop brown and pee yellow! Nothing else matters!! I grew up in a small town on the plains of Texas. After school and getting married my wife and I moved to Denver, CO. We raised 3 kids. At first we could walk the Downtown Streets of Denver and enjoy the shops, coffee shops and restaurants. Fast forward 47 years later, we are living a retired life back in that same small town on the plains. Denver and the politics of Colorado have become an accommodation for criminals, illegals, gangs and liberals. All left-wing politicians & hippies have a “we know what’s best for YOU” mentality. We want to do what’s best for YOU no matter how much it hurts YOU! We also are going to tell YOU how to raise YOUR children, because, it takes a village to raise a child.
Where we live today, allows us to be free from all of this malarkey!!

Thank you for speaking up and speaking the truth. As a white woman, I cannot stand what the white liberals have done to this country. ALL people, no matter their race, wants to be safe in their neighborhoods and their homes. I live near Chicago and would love to go to the city, but I will not do it any longer. I know what is going on there, no matter what their politicians say. Same for some areas of South Bend, which I am also close to. Don’t want to travel the highways to Indianapolis for all the road rage shootings they have had. So, like so many of my fellow countrymen of color, I too want to be safe. And they should expect the same. To those liberals in their Ivory towers, save your grandstanding. Ordinary citizens don’t agree with you. You live safely in gated communities, in houses with all the latest alarms and even your own security. We “ordinary” citizens want our country back!!!!
I am a hippie at heart, but not one that turned into a bleeding heart liberal, I say to them swallow a band-aid and get with the program, protesting like you are so 60s.
There is a problem every time some middle aged Republican, tries to label anyone that isn’t a clone of himself … he or she pisses people off. I am a 75 year old, Vietnam Veteran, who has all his life had hair down below his shoulders, called a hippie, though I consider myself a Goldwater Conservative.
Anyone complaining about and protesting safe streets, is a progressive liberal, who wants our Republic to fail, and while they may be older (Social Security gives you some money, and retirement gives you excess time to protest or what have you.)
The way I understood Hippiedom, is being against senseless wars, a relaxed lifestyle, enjoying nature, freedom from the 9 to 5 grind, wearing a suit … and if free love got tossed in, who was going to turn that down. Those were a lot of the principles I adapted, as an honorably discharged Navy veteran … who worked from age 23 (after the Navy) to age 67 … and yes I proudly call myself a hippie.
Stephen Miller is one of the most arrogant people in Trump Group. He was way out of line and obnoxious calling protesters in DC white hippies and all are about 64 years old.
