Jews and Christians (in the beginning mainly Jews) used to celebrate the Passover at the proper time. Then the Christian leaders in Rome had a falling out with the Jews and decided to have their feast/celebration for Jesus’s death and resurrection away from the Jews which led to Easter. For the most part, Jesus’s death and resurrection should be honored on the Jewish Passover which was the past weekend.

Well enough. I know that Jesus Christ, God the Son who was sacrificed for us, is the true Passover.
