I hope some idiot restaurant owner understands when I push the cash register off the counter when that owner tries to force me into using a cell phone/tracking device that I refuse to own to access his menu. Or I could just urinate on the floor to really show how I feel.
If a restaurant is using QR codes instead of menus to save on the easily written off overhead of menu printing, what else might they be cutting back on? Sanitation?
To hell with this “24/7 overwatch” we are slowly being pushed to. I refuse to comply and I assure you it will not be me paying the price for such non compliance.
If a restaurant will not give me a printed menu and wants to force me to scan a code, I will walk out, period. I am tired of everyone trying to force everything onto a phone. It is absurd that you could only see a small portion of a menu at a time (on a very small screen), and have to be scrolling in all directions to see more (that you don’t even know is there), instead of a large page where you can see, and scan, a lot at once. What if you have flip phone and not a “smart” phone? This having everything forced to the phone has got to stop.
Android phones Camera app does not automatically scan; there should be a pull down from the top menu that does have the scan option but not all.
Thank you. I’m embarrassed to say I’ve taken more pictures of QR codes than I care to admit. I never noticed the yellow box and probably wouldn’t have known what to do with it if I had. I will for sure try this out on the next opportunity.
