A New Age Begins

President Donald Trump is now officially the 47th president of the United States.

Trump’s first inauguration in 2017 was marred by violence from the left; it was also surreal. The media were utterly shocked by Trump’s victory — Trump himself seemed shocked, too — and that disbelief translated into four years of extraordinary efforts to deny that Trump had indeed won, ranging from attacks on social media companies to blaming Russian collusion.

Not so this time.

I was in Washington, D.C., for the inauguration. The streets were calm and filled with Trump supporters despite the freezing temperatures. There was no violence. A sense of quiescence pervaded the town, a recognition that not only had Trump won but that he had won convincingly.

This makes perfect sense.

As the first president to serve non-consecutive terms since Grover Cleveland, Trump doesn’t represent something new, something that the American public must digest. He represents something tried and true. Usually, American politics tends to follow a near-Hegelian map: thesis, antithesis, synthesis. Jimmy Carter (far left) was followed by Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush (conservative), and the American public finally settled on Bill Clinton (the fabled “third way”). The Harding/Coolidge era (conservative) was followed by the FDR era (far left), and the American public finally settled on Dwight D. Eisenhower (centrist).

Not this time.

This time, the American people presented a thesis: Trump.

Then they were presented a man who acted as Trump’s antithesis on virtually every policy, from immigration to taxes to foreign policy to social radicalism: Joe Biden.

And then they selected Trump again.

This means that Trump doesn’t need to synthesize lessons from Biden. Biden’s agenda has been roundly rejected — for the man they initially rejected in favor of Biden. The American public has bought what Trump is selling.

And that means that Trump does indeed have a unique mandate.

That mandate isn’t endless. The American public wants, as Trump suggested in his inaugural address, “common sense.” They want the border closed and the economy booming; they want innovation and social stability. They don’t want distractions and infighting and dramatics and hullabaloo.

Trump seems poised to give it to them.

It was difficult not to watch Trump’s second inaugural address and get the sense that he understood the assignment. Spanning just under 3,000 words, Trump kept to his message. He spoke without anger or bluster. Innovation leaders flanked him. When he promised a new golden age, that didn’t feel particularly audacious.

It felt right.

After a decade of Donald Trump, Americans know what he means.

And Trump knows what Americans meant when they elected him. They meant that they wanted success. They want to win. They want the American dream — the chance to rise and fall on their own merits. They want to feel proud of their country again.

We should all pray that Trump is successful in that mission.

Despite the evil Globalists’ and their minions’ attempts to destroy Donald Trump, he seems to be prevailing over all their scams.   Just the numerous corrupt democrats, judges and prosecutors all failed in their attempts to prevent him from becoming president.

No human being has the character to withstand this kind of onslaught based on false accusations and corrupt judicial rulings. Especially when this was occurring in conjunction with the fraudulent mainstream press carrying their water for them.

That tells me that there is something else at work here. When powerful evil keeps slamming its head into a brick wall, and the wall only gets stronger, there is a spiritual component that cannot be denied.

You are not here be accident.   God put us all at this specific moment in human history for a reason.

You are living in The Age of Grace, but…that does not mean our problems are over. The evil Statist globalists are not going to take defeat lying down. They will be working persistently to undermine Trump’s presidency by creating turmoil every step of the way.

This is just a suggestion: Don’t believe any of the claims, notions, stories of talking heads, and news reports that are being widely distributed across all the medias like their free stale government cheese.  It’s all Soviet-style propaganda pieces of excrement.

Reality is much different.

Our Creator is letting us have a glimpse behind the veil of His presence just enough to wake us to His Truth and prepare you for The Return of The King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

The last episode of PBS’ Frontline, just a few days ago, seemed to revel in bringing up (as in vomiting) President Trump’s past–his bankruptcies, the women, the racism, Jan. 6… It was non-stop. And I kept thinking, “When are they going to present the other–you know, the truthful–side of the story?” Well, they never did. It was your typical progressive sour grapes hate-fest, brought to us weeks after the American people had already chosen Trump. I’LL NEVER WATCH FRONTLINE AGAIN. NEVER! Why did they even bother?

I used to donate to PBS, but not since decades ago, when Gwen Ifill said something derogatory about conservatives. I would like to stop sending my tax dollars to them altogether and will ask my congressmen to defund them.

In stark contrast to the past 4 years of misery under biden and harris, Trump’s first term brought an immediate improvement over Obama’s “new-but-terrible normal”, the expectation on the part of government number crunchers and Obama himself that we’d never see better than a 1% GDP. On the contrary, there was building and hiring and higher income all over the place, right after Trump implemented better policies. So, we did discover that prosperity is achievable with favorable tax and energy policies. Then covid struck, which sent the nation into a tailspin. Not Trump’s fault.

The American people have eyes and ears and brains. We saw the devastating effects of progressive policies and how not one democrat did anything to make our country better, freer, safer, or more prosperous. Just the opposite, in fact, with the nosediving consumer confidence, mandates, open borders, skyrocketing crime, and inflation.

People paid attention and were able to draw their own conclusions, despite the MSM headlines, the endless fake investigations into Trump and fellow Republicans, and the lies coming from the democrats. Elected officials are obligated to do better than that! What would George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, or any of our level-headed politicians from centuries past think of what has happened to our country in just 4 years?! Thank goodness for the millions of people who made these comparisons and came up with a win for Trump/Vance.

Stay vigilant, fellow Americans. As PaulE recently said, we must not let our elected officials backslide into their old ways. If we do, we’ll end up with someone as vacuous and hateful as kamala harris. And I’m not sure we have anyone else like Donald Trump to rescue us once again. He’s a once-in-a-century phenomenon. Awesome.
