AMAC Exclusive – By Aaron Flanigan

After eight years as speaker of the House, 12 years as Democrat House minority leader, and more than 35 years as a member of Congress, 83-year-old Nancy Pelosi might have been expected to slide into a comfortable retirement with her now-famous husband after Republicans took back the gavel last fall. But instead, Pelosi sent shockwaves through the political media when she announced last week that she intends to run for a 20th term in the U.S. Congress.

Pelosi’s post-speakership was already unusual in the fact that she remained in Congress at all. Since World War II, every other speaker except Republican Joseph William Martin (1947-1949, 1953-1955) either retired from Congress immediately after stepping down as leader of their party or died while still holding the speakership.

By opting to resign her post within House Democrat leadership, Pelosi has given up most of her official power within the Democrat caucus (although she undoubtedly still wields enormous influence behind the scenes). As the first female speaker of the House and someone who led Democrats’ charge to the far left, Pelosi has already cemented her status as a progressive icon.

All of this raises an obvious question— why, given her old age, significant wealth, and her more than three decades in Congress—is Pelosi so averse to leaving Washington? Why would she risk making her final public image that of a career politician far past her prime desperately clinging to the trappings of power?

“Now more than ever our City needs us to advance San Francisco values and further our recovery,” Pelosi wrote on X (Twitter) as explanation for her decision to run again. “Our country needs America to show the world that our flag is still there, with liberty and justice for ALL. That is why I am running for reelection—and respectfully ask for your vote.”

That “official” explanation – filled with plenty of liberal buzz words but lacking any real substance – leaves ample reason to speculate that Pelosi has other motivations.

One possible explanation is Pelosi’s alleged desire to leverage her former speakership into a cushy ambassadorship within the Biden administration. As Fox Business reported last fall, Pelosi at one point hoped Biden would tap her as his ambassador to Italy. “Biden is holding the spot for the Speaker, sources say, which is one reason he has yet to fill the position since taking office,” reported Fox’s Maria Bartiromo last September.

Though the Italy ambassadorship has since been filled by Biden, several plush ambassador posts remain vacant. Given Pelosi’s well-established enjoyment of the finer things in life—from her $20,000 refrigerator stocked with boutique ice cream, to her personal vineyard in Napa Valley, to her ethically questionable use of large Air Force jets for her many cross-country flights, to her frequent trips to exotic beaches—it is possible that Pelosi is holding out hope that she will land a cozy ambassadorship as an extension of her taxpayer-funded post-speakership.

Another—and perhaps more likely—possibility is that Pelosi wants to continue to enjoy her status as Speaker Emerita, which has equipped her with massive fundraising prowess and continued stature as one of the Democrat Party’s most prominent national leaders, with few actual responsibilities.

In the words of the Associated Press, even in the months since Republicans won back the House, Pelosi “is among the party’s most prolific fundraisers for the House and key political strategists”—even as they also acknowledged it is “rare” for former party leaders to continue serving in Congress.

But regardless of Pelosi’s precise reasoning for once again seeking reelection, one thing remains clear: she is enjoying what appears to be a taxpayer-funded retirement made even nicer by sustained fanfare from the Democrat Party machine and the progressive activist class.

In the not-so-distant past, representing one’s community in Congress was considered an honor that required genuine love of country and an authentic spirit of sacrifice. Despite the rise of career politicians like Pelosi, America’s Founders never intended for the United States to be run by a permanent ruling class of out-of-touch partisans who serve for decades in Congress—especially those with a rap sheet of extremism as severe as Pelosi’s.

Our nation’s Founders would have abhorred the idea of a figure like Pelosi refusing to depart Washington after nearly four decades of service—particularly as she spends most of her time in the capital attending cocktail parties and lavish fundraising events.

The American people deserve better than a former speaker of the House living off of their tax dollars to advance a radical agenda out of step with both the will of voters and the American way of life.

The one compelling fact that keeps Nancy Pelosi from retiring isn’t mentioned at all in the article. Plain and simple, Nancy and Paul Pelosi have a net worth north of $150 million dollars due largely to insider trading off the information Nancy has had access to as a member of Congress during a very long political career in Congress. If she were to retire, that access to what legislation is in the congressional pipe, how it is being crafted behind closed doors, and how it would impact various companies and their stocks would be lost should she choose to retire. As a consequence, the so-called amazing stock picking and option playing of Paul Pelosi would vanish overnight. So no more amazing multi-million dollar returns coming the Pelosi’s way.

Also, by Nancy remaining in Congress, she is effectively untouchable by the SEC, FBI or the IRS for potential insider trading or other investigations that would possibly result from any real investigation into how Paul Pelosi has managed to out-perform the best financial minds around the world consistently for years and years. So obviously, it is the best interests of the Pelosi family for Nancy to remain exactly where she is in Congress until she eventually dies. The notion of what is best for her congressional district is the farthest thing on her mind. Her focus is strictly on what is best for her and her family’s own financial and legal interests.

She should never be allowed to return to any Congressional Office. A real Trump hatter. I’ll never forget her tearing up his speech and all the times she wanted to impeach a true leader for the people.

I hate to be so negitive but her reward is now. When she faces her Creator (as we all wil), her wealth will be nil and she will have to answer for all she has done here on earth. While I will have to account for me , I would not want to be standing in her stead.

Pelosi just wants to see her lifelong dream of America becoming a Communist country. She just thinks it will happen quicker if she’s still “serving” by working towards it in the House of Representatives.

She can’t leave because there are too many moving parts that she needs to keep spinning for the Biden Crime Family. Obama was better at hiding agendas because he could shift sands behind his VP. They were glad to put spotlights on Trump to keep their messes in the shadows.

Also, financially her insider trading will be significantly ceased and will be left open for investigation.

Everyone should remember why the banking industry is in Delaware. Just so happened to be a product of Joe Biden and his protected banking umbrella. You don’t have to second guess that he is getting favors from all of the majority Democratic owned bankers.

I loathe that woman. That her over-the-top lifestyle is being funded by “us” makes me sick. They say that “we get what we deserve” but I disagree. This country deserves far better than the likes of ‘Nancy Pelosi.’

Two other factors remained unmentioned in this article. Number one, Nancy and Paul Pelosi’s “business model” is based on insider trading graft. and would come to a screeching halt when lobbyists would no longer seek to curry her favor, and she would no longer be privy to congressional spending intentions. Number two, not being in congress might leave her open, and vulnerable to investigations she would no longer have any power to stop, or crush outright. I’m afraid her fingernails are so firmly embedded into her house chair she will have to be carried out the House of Representatives in that chair after she eventually passes; although in a remake of “Weekend at Joey’s” (the real life one, not the fictional Hollywood “Weekend at Bernie’s”) Democrats might even prop her up in that chair even after she has passed, should the vote count require it. As obviously demonstrated by the Big Guy, and Fetterman a working brainwave pattern is not a party requirement to hold office, and we know from cemetery voting records voting Democrat that a pulse is neither.

It’s just my personal opinion, but I feel one of the main reasons she’s staying in power in Congress, is to protect her own rotten, corrupt, and vile ass. CYA as they say. She wants to stick around long enough to make sure Donald Trump is buried, done, finished for good. If Trump was to get back in office, she’s well aware that Trump would unleash some Karma on vile old Nasty Nancy.

Yet San Francisco has continued it tragic decline under Pelosi who pays more attention to spiteful partisan politics than she ever did to her constituents. Under Nancy (and Newsom and now London B.) SF has the distinction of being the most infamous homeless haven in the nation. The once enchanting City by the Bay is now the place everyone avoids, including tourists. Pelosi’s politics prove how lacking in ideas, empathy and achievement the Democrat leadership is. It is Me, Me, Me politics and the Hell with the rest of you. Pelosi loves power and money, the two things she’s gained from being a despicable, noxious Democrat who leaves constituents in the dust.

Pelosi and every other career politician are perfect examples of why this nation needs term limits. If the President can be effective with only the possibility of 8 years in office, there is no reason why House, Senate and potentially the Supreme Court Justices should not be governed by the exact same limits. Allowing no term limits is a recipe for corruption. Unfortunately, term limits will probably never happen since it is same people that benefit from no term limits that would have to vote term limits in. Guess what? We also allow these same people to vote their own pay raises and other financial benefits. How have we as a country allowed this crap to continue in Washington?

I believe the reason she is seeking another term is that she hopes the democrats win back the majority so she can be speaker again, for the third time. She is drunk on power.

P likes the power and the money. These people are never satisfied to retire or step down. There is nobody else that they trust to do a good job, as well as they can. Only them. Does not speak well of them. What is she afraid off her replacement will find. Just go Nancy. Your usefulness ran out decades ago. You are and were the worst representative from your district and even a worse speaker that divided this country, from which we will not recover anytime soon.

“Advance San Francisco values” – eeekkk. How low can we sink that people anywhere, even San Francisco residents, would vote for someone who thinks SF values are to be duplicated elsewhere. And then there’s her age – good grief. Everyone in Congress (both houses) over the age of 75 should be forced to retire NOW!! I am over that age, and it makes me cringe to see these feeble, near death, bodies running (or is it ruining) our country.

The best advocate for term limits, which won’t happen if Congress has to pass it. They all enjoy the power and prestige. I applaud those few who retire early, but unfortunately they are usually the best of the bunch, who have principles and conscience.

With SWAMP QUEEN pelosi’s corruption and Insider Trading through the decades she does NOT DESERVE or has EARNED a Taxpayer Funded retirement. She made $MILLIONS while being in the Senate from ALL her CORRUPTION.
Just like Maxine Waters and vast majority of democrat’s corruption making $Millions every year while in office. Just look where they live. In Multi-Million Dollar MANSIONS.
You don’t make $Millions from a Senator’s salary or on a Congress salary either.
This is why it is VERY IMPORTANT for TERM LIMITS.
Congress, 3 Term Limits.
Senators, 1 Term Limit.
This will end people like SWAMP QUEEN pelosi and many others including the OVER 50 YEARS in office Dictator Beijing biden from DESTROYING and SELLING OUT THE UNITED STATES of AMERICA for CONTROL and POWER.

Federal retirement checks for our long serving congressional servants is walking around $$. The real retirement is the $$$ they grafted along the way, the inside info investing they did and the payoffs. We screwed up twice- first when we allowed Senators to be elected instead of SELECTED by the State legislatures. and then when we started making the salaries high enough they could afford to live in the DC area AND maintain a state residence AND save money. Shoulda kept them broke

Would someone, ANYONE please tell Nancy to use more Poly-grip on her choppers so they will stay in her mouth? I am 10 years younger than Nancy and in all good conscience, would not entertain the thought of serving in Congress. The job requires more than freeloading at cocktail parties and fundraising dinners. It is a demanding job serving the citizens of our country and if you want to see another example of someone not fit to serve, look no farther than Mr. Fetterman. What a terrible joke, wearing a hoodie sweatshirt and shorts to work at our nation’s Capitol. And he cannot even put together a coherent sentence. On second thought, maybe I should run………”
