Medicare Advantage has all the ear-markings of a single payer plan. There may also be large deductibles and co-pays. For me it would have more than doubled my financial responsibility for a singe year. Buyers beware and get all the facts, not just the benefit package.
The only savings is in the premium if you don’t need medical care. The minute you get sick and need care, my actual deductible and out of pocket costs will be much higher with the advantage plan. Be careful and make sure you know the much higher price you will pay compared to the premium savings if you go with the advantage plan.
My Medicare Advantage is the best plan I have ever had. Even when I was young and healthy. All I had to do was talk to the wonderful people at AMAC Medicare Advisory Service. I’m not getting paid or compensated for this endorsement. What I did was to make a list of the medical problems I had and some of the medical procedures that I wanted to begin. I called AMAC and the representative and I went through each item one at a time. I was given time to write down the results of my questions. Time of the next week or so to compare it to my old plan. I have not regretted my decision to switch.
