With Midterm Elections Imminent, It Seems “The Democratic Party Moved Left but the Country as a Whole Hasn’t”

Democratic

WASHINGTON, DC, July 25 — Will DINO [Democrat In Name Only] Joe Manchin and like-minded Democrats in Congress help trigger a landslide win for Republicans in the upcoming midterm elections? It certainly looks that way.

Oddly enough, Sean McElwee, a progressive political strategist, admits that Manchin’s moderation “makes a lot of sense. People who vote for Republicans are not like, ‘I’m voting for Republicans because local companies in West Virginia just need the right tax breaks.’ No, they’re like: ‘I believe that government spending is too big. Too many people don’t work. And social change in this country is happening too quickly.’ And I don’t agree with those things, but that’s what those voters believe. And Manchin’s the only one who really speaks to those broad ideological concerns.”

In an interview with the Epoch Times, Jamie Wright, who describes herself as “a millennial attorney and political pundit,” seems to think so. As Wright put it, the Democratic Party’s “[moderate voting] base is becoming increasingly disenchanted with what seems to be the ongoing failures of the Biden administration on major party platforms such as rising inflation, gas prices, and a pretty weak economy.”  Wright went on to say that, although they don’t get much attention in the mainstream media, the fact is “There is a real power struggle between the moderates and the extreme left within the party. However, moderates still make up the majority,”

Another political consultant, Josh Wilson, says the moderate Democrats will either give the election a pass, or some of them may bite the bullet and vote Republican. “Democrat members of the Congress seem to be trending more to the left but Democrat voters are not,” Wilson explained. “To be more specific, Democrats in D.C. seem to be putting social issues ahead of economic issues. [However,] most voters want the government to focus on things that impact them daily,”

Let’s face it. Joe Biden and his Congressional minions — “woke” movement or not — have made a mess of our economy and voters are in pain. The president’s approval rating is in the tank. It stands at a mere 30% who think he’s got it right. Even leftist publications such as Time Magazine think so, having earlier this year published an article with the headline: How the Biden Administration Lost Its Way.

Ryan Crocker, former U.S. ambassador in Kabul put it this way: “An Administration that pledged to restore competence and normalcy seems overmatched and reactive. Biden has been caught flat-footed by not one but two COVID-19 variants. He has repeatedly failed to close the deal with the Senate he boasted of mastering. The former chair of the foreign relations committee has presided over escalating tensions with Russia and China as well as a chaotic pullout from Afghanistan. The consequences to America’s credibility abroad could be lasting.” Crocker added, ‘What could be more damaging to internationalism in this country than an internationalist who is perceived as having just completely screwed the pooch?”

Indeed, the traditional give and take of American politics wherein when the party in power bungle things up for the electorate it cedes control of Congress in the midterm elections and it eventually leads to the loss of the presidency.

In conclusion, the New York Times published an exceptionally lengthy discourse on what might happen should a Red Wave of Republicans take back the House and the Senate come November. Author Jason Zengerle points out that “The bigger, more consequential question — not just for the moderates but for all Democrats — is whether this projected midterm wipeout is merely a cyclical occurrence or the manifestation of a much deeper and more intractable problem. Over the last decade, the Democratic Party has moved significantly to the left on almost every salient political issue. Some of these shifts in a more ambitiously progressive direction, especially as they pertain to economic issues, have largely tracked with public opinion: While socialism might not poll well with voters, Democratic proposals to raise taxes on corporations and the wealthy, increase the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour and lower the age of Medicare eligibility do.”

Zengerle quoted in his article Will Marshall, the president and founder of the Progressive Policy Institute, a moderate Democratic think tank, who said “The Democratic Party moved left but the country as a whole hasn’t.”

Isn’t this what government supposed to be? Compromise, with only the Nation’s best interests in mind. Instead we have fake impeachments, the January 6th debacle, runaway inflation, medical mandates, higher taxes and mass shootings of unarmed citizens. It’s no wonder congress continues to get a fail because they are unable to get anything right and the citizens are once again the real losers.

Another “Inevitable Red Wave” article.

The Democrats all campaigned on these socialist policies throughout all of 2019 and 2020. That didn’t seem to register with most Americans, with half the country voting for the dementia patient in a basement. Biden received a little extra “boost” in votes from the 6 key swing states thanks to an assortment of irregularities that were allowed to go unchallenged. These socialist policies have all been tried in virtually every country that has gone down the socialist path before us. The Democrats are NOT doing anything new or novel that hasn’t already been done in many other countries that adopted socialsim. Virtually every country has ended up experiencing nearly identical devasting results as their economies and societies began to impode. We still have a long way to go to catch up the lower lifestyle standards and greatly reduced economic standards, which is why the Democrats are trying to ram as much through as fast as they can to ensure the damage is permanent.

As for some dejected Democrats, what is never asked in any of these articlesor even most polls is one simple question: “Is your dissatifaction with the current environment the Democrats have created sufficient enough for you to vote for Republicans this fall?” It’s a simple yes or no response and cuts through all the BS most of these type articles seem to be focused on. If the answer is yes, then the Republicans running for Congress can continue to sit back and simply coast to victory without agreeing to do any specific deliverable. If the answer is no, then time is running very short for the Republicans running for Congress to out together an actual game plan, set of deliverables and execute on it all before November rolls around.

Never assume you’ve won by a landslide until you have actually won by a landslide. There are a lot of ways the GOP can shoot themselves in the foot, arm and head between now and November like passing the now $280 billion dollar chip bill that is loaded with over $230 billion dollars in spending that has absoutely nothing to do with the semiconductor industry that DOES NOT need any federal money.

Meanwhile, China is sending tanks to Russia and other military materials. We are supporting Ukraine and rightly so, despite what many of you think. Schumer supports China and took out a block on China on a bill so that China gets many supports in Congress. This, despite them trying to take over Taiwan. Chinese are trying to take over our National Bank even though Jerome Powell says it’s not so…even the military news confirms what our Republican senators have warned about. China has taken over many parcels of land in the United States of America and no one is even batting an eyelash…it seems only us in Texas are crying FOUL and putting up an alarm and put a block on their buying the large parcel they tried to get. Yes, it was near an air force base and yes, it was prime farm land. They were going to steal farm land for solar panels. NO. Just NO. We don’t have enough prime farming land in Texas to use. And NO…China is not getting OUR land. Not in Texas.

If there appeared on the scene a youngish under 60 leader dynamic with vision and realistic to not sugar coat the ugly truth to present the facts and a plan to get out of this mess painfully but surely suppose this leader is black man or woman suppose he she proposed to shut down government milk train and start anew what chance to get elected would there be?

[“While socialism might not poll well with voters, Democratic proposals to raise taxes on corporations and the wealthy, increase the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour and lower the age of Medicare eligibility do.”]
NO! Democrat proposals do NOT poll well with anyone who has any understanding at all of economics or the U. S. Constitution! The coming mid-term wipe out will NOT be merely a cyclical occurrence, it WILL BE “the manifestation of a much deeper and more intractable problem”.

I am just about totally fed up with the censorship on this comment page. Some months ago, I attempted to up-vote a comment and got a pop-up message saying I could not vote as I had already voted on “too many other comments on this page”.
Today, I attempted to up-vote a comment in this thread and have repeatedly gotten this message in a pop-up: “You are not allowed to vote for this comment”.

WHY does AMAC censor in this way? It is certainly not in favor of 1st Amendment rights!

The Communist Party is insane. And bent on destroying America, its institutions, and it’s citizens.
The Hitlerian thugs not only need ousted from power, they need kept from power for many decades.
We must return to hanging the Traitors and deporting the remainder to North Korea, China, or Cuba.

“The Democrat party moved left” That’s an understatement. It’s the party of treason and outright destruction of the United States. But they’re in control for now so our compliant justice department won’t do anything about it. Never vote Democrat, and choose your Republicans wisely. The red wave is on the way.

The proper term isn’t communist, socialist, or Marxist, but collectivist. Sorting people into collectives instead of recognizing individuality has corrupted the Dems. The smallest minority of all is the unique individual. Corporations don’t pay taxes. Taxes are a pass-through cost to their consumers. Minimum wages are a pass-through cost. Convincing workers that they’re being exploited and are a victim class is collectivist.

Obviously this is not the Democratic Party as it used to be . They have bungled everything from the Keystone pipeline, and all that has followed from the first day of his presidency. The list is long, and we all know how this is destroying our Republic . I want to know who the 30% of Americans who agree with this administration, because you need to leave the country . If you believe we’re going down the right path, than you’re not an American . I pray for a red wave , and our newly elected have the b~~~s to get our country back on the right track, because this truly is a train wreck. Vote in November . God help us .

The leftist liberals are a diabolical and divisive elitist political party, it’s only the end justifies the means for this destructive bunch of hypocrites, there so evil and focused on taking over our lives and freedoms as a constitutional and free republic. There twisting our founders language and every time I hear Biden use the phrase democracy it’s literally sickening. He’s a progressive globalist climate change destroyer of our system, when he dismantled our fossil fuel industry and without a doubt is implementing the ridiculous green new deal clean energy agenda we simply cannot survive this. Now there begging our worst enemies for there oil and paying ridiculous amounts of money for it, also he’s emptying out our strategic oil reserves that we have in storage for everything that’s happening protection when we have an all out emergency? There trying to buy time during their transition period to take our fossil fuels out of use and at the Same time implement there foolish alternative energy sources. It’s a nightmare for all of us and it will completely collapse our economy and destroy capitalism, that’s actually there full and straightforward intentions!

For the “Party of the Poor” who campaign on the theory of making the rich “Pay their fair share” and helping lower income families, the Demon-rat party has failed miserably. Fuel prices are catastrophic to those who need the ability to fuel their means of transportation. They can’t afford to drive to the grocery where prices have almost doubled and shelves are nearly empty. Farmers, Truckers, and railroads are paying double+ for fuel, raising the cost to get products to market, which is passed to the consumer. Raising taxes to further cut into the poor people’s income. These DC vermin need to leave their land of milk and honey, come to Appalachia and see first hand the results of their actions. Party of the poor my behind!

While many people observe what and how the dems have trashed America and the real affects haven’t reached their total masses yet, maybe in 6 months .Gas 9.60 a gallon , food rationed and you get the idea. My question please how do we stop the cheating and how to reverse Biden EO’s?Poor Hungary people don’t revolt much. I think the dems have November sewed up because we did nothing in 2020z. What can be done if November is another nightmare?
