WASHINGTON, DC, July 8 — “In my judgment, Critical Race Theory [CRT] is cynical, ahistorical, sophomoric, insipid, and dumb as a bag of hair.” That’s what Senator John Kennedy [R-LA] had to say about the controversial and divisive efforts of progressive socialist educators to foment racial discord in our nation’s schools. He went on to explain that it “teaches that white children are born bad. It teaches that black children are born trapped — there’s almost no hope for them.”
Kennedy’s remarks came soon after it was revealed that the National Education Association [NEA] has launched a well-funded campaign to teach younger generations that America is not the “home of the free and the brave” but the home of racist white people. The NEA is the biggest teachers union in the U.S., and its CRT movement is aimed at indoctrinating the kids in 14,000 school districts across all 50 states by shaming the white children and instigating the black children.
The Critical Race Theory is not something new; it’s been around for some four decades. It has its roots in “the Marxist-oriented critical theory,” according to the Encyclopedia Britannica.
In recent years it has been co-opted by some educators as a teaching platform. Rather than being a tool to promote racial tolerance, it has grievously distorted American history and the meaning of being an American Citizen.
The NEA’s campaign to win the hearts and minds of schoolchildren has created a new backlash among parents, some teachers, and the public at large. As activist mom, Quisha King told the Epoch Times: “Truly these teachers’ unions have a lot of power and a lot of money, and they have the resources to do something like that. But obviously, parents are tired of what’s going on. We’re trying to make a difference, and we’re trying to draw attention to this thing. It’s bullying to me. It’s a bully tactic.”
You may recall Ms. King as the mom that gave the Duvall County, Florida, school board “what for” in opposition to its position on CRT. She told the board that “CRT is not racial sensitivity or simply teaching unfavorable American history … CRT is deeper and more dangerous than that.”
King is also a member of Moms for Liberty, whose co-founder, Tina Descovich, told the Epoch Times that “Parents are not standing for this. You already see them standing up all around the country, and they will continue to push back against this.” She went on to point out that “we are coming out of the worst year on record for modern education, and you would think the NEA would focus on reading and writing and math instead of trying to divide us by our skin color.”
Investigative journalist Christopher Rufo is also a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute and a contributing editor of the Institute’s City Journal. He’s also considered to be among the most well-informed authorities regarding the CRT movement. Rufo’s revelations of CRT faults and failures have made him, some would say, a target of the leftist media, including the Washington Post, which saw fit to print a 3,000-word alleged expose’ attacking his credibility.
Rufo went through the Post’s article “line-by-line” and found fabrications, misquotes, and made-up reporting.
He posted his findings on social media and apparently got the Post reporters in deep trouble because the Post was forced to retract the story.
It was yet another example of “Fake News” that is ready, willing, and able to pull the wool over your eyes, notwithstanding the importance of the truth. And the truth about the Critical Race Theory is that it is a misguided, misrepresented, and critically dangerous concept for our children and for the future of America.
According to Rufo, the truth is that: “I’ve been on the front lines of this battle. My investigative reporting has exposed critical race theory in American education, with disturbing firsthand reports about public schools forcing eight-year-olds to deconstruct their racial identities, telling white teachers that they must undergo ‘antiracist therapy,’ and encouraging white parents to become ‘white traitors’ and advocate for ‘white abolition.'”
John Grimaldi served on the first non-partisan communications department in the New York State Assembly and is a founding member of the Board of Directors of Priva Technologies, Inc. He has served for more than thirty years as a Trustee of Daytop Village Foundation, which oversees a worldwide drug rehabilitation network.
It has been clear for quite some time that the Teachers Unions are nothing more than a front for funneling large sums of money legally into Democrat campaign coffers in exchange for sweetheart deals from Democrat politicians. No different than many other union organizations in this country. Sorry to be so blunt, but that is the plain reality whether one chooses to acknowledge it or not.
Their priority has been to promote and advance the agenda of the Democrat party, while pretending to be about representing the teachers paying their union dues. As the Democrat party has gone further and further left, the Teachers Unions have all marched in lock-step with them. Now that the Democrat party has finally dropped most of their pretense of being just another flavor of Americanism and come out openly for a number of pure socialist ideals designed to “transform” the country, the Teachers Unions are right there with them. CRT simply being the latest part of the socialist agenda they support.
Rather than talk endlessly about the need for Congressional hearings or investigations, that all go nowhere and accomplish nothing, the fastest way to deal with this issue of the unions holding America’s children hostage is to de-certify ALL the Teachers Unions in this country. Obviously that action would be opposed by the Democrat party, because it would break the strangle hold the unions have on our schools and eliminate a substantial amount of campaign donations flowing regularly into Democrat party coffers. It would also allow individual teachers, who refuse to stop teaching this nonsense, to be fired much easier. That would help purge the political activists from the ranks. That is the ONLY viable option to break the grip the unions have on the public education system. Any other option is just wasting more time and resources, while the situation in our schools only deteriorates faster. As a nation, we have already lost most of the last two generations of young to socialist indoctrination with predictable results. We either have to decide to address the problem head-on or surrender to the consequences of continuing to “endlessly talk about it”.

Time for these organizations to be taken out of the public square since they care nothing about our children or our nation. It is a shame that the teachers in this country have been twisted to the Marxist view. I remember primary, secondary and advanced instructors that were not Marxist. However the institutions of higher learning seem to instill this foolishness in our children so that they graduate with a aura of invincibility and superiority to their fellow man that is a shame to behold. The common sense solutions are trampled in favor of progressive ideology and the mantra of diversity . Whoa is me, I fear for my children and children’s children because of the loss of common sense.
It would be interesting to see just where the NEA is spending their money…..are they bribing others, are they funding PAC’s, are they slipping cash into pockets of teachers, adminstrators, etc. It’s a case of “follow the money” and see. This organization needs investigating,, but we know the current administration won’t do that! I find that when you shine the light on the likes of these people, they scurry like roaches. We know where their money comes from, but what we don’t know is where they use it, and how…to support their agenda. Generally, I have found in my personal experience, that unions are less about the rank and file, and more about power, politics and greed. Open protests by parents and concerned citizens seems to be the only viable way to force their hand…..and even that
is subject to the legal system that has already shown itself to be less than just or even law based.

I was in a teacher’s union and I never heard of this teacher’s union to be honest. Of course, I’m from Texas but as a nurse, we joined the teacher’s unions so we had lawyer’s coverage in case of law suit’s. That’s the only reason most teacher’s join a union in the first place.
More reason to get rid of the teachers unions. They are trying to pump our kids full of BS. Leave race crap out of our schools and the kids will do just fine. This is the reason I HATE UNIONS.

I think NEA must be the largest union in USA & members are teachers/school employees. Why would teachers want to teach more hatred to our youth. Teach students history & that all are equal & to treat each other that way. Young kids like each other so why not keep that attitude.

Thankfully, the state of NH has written into law, No racists theory of any kind is to be taught in their schools, Florida has done this as well with ( 4 ) other states on board that I’m aware of…Both of my granddaughters are schooled in NH, so this gives me some relief, however I’ve made both the girls aware of this dangerous indoctrination & have asked them to tell their mother immediately if any teacher within their various classes are even hinting about the instruction of this EVIL that is upon us…

The NEA is not about children but for protecting radical and incompetent teachers. As a retired Texas teacher I never wanted to be a part of that organization. It is nothing but another labor union.

Remember around the turn of the century when Unions were created? There were no rules in the workplace and a business owner could force employees to work 6/12 hour days. The business owner could also terminate any employee for no reason. Now it is the opposite! The employees run the businesses and tell the employer what to do! I love how the Teachers Unions kept the schools closed and taught online for 2-3 hours a day from home! They then fought to keep the schools closed!
Teachers used to love to educate students and make a difference while earning a low salary. Now teacher salaries and benefits are up and many who know better will have to teach CRT or lose their job! I wonder how many feel strongly enough to put their job on the line and risk being Blackballed from ever teaching again? Their Union will not help them!
While watching Fox last night I see that American students continue to fall in the world rankings despite the fact we spend more per student than the others! Remember when China used to send their students to our Universities? Why would they do it now since they have their own World Class Universities and the students are already raised Socialist?

Somewhere online I saw a Triangle shaped CRT Flow Chart with the usual problems at the top with arrows pointing to the causes and then to the results. It amazes me the warped depraved minds that can create these things!

Any teaching that makes any child, red, yellow, black, brown, white, feel they were born bad or trapped is wrong, and emotionally immoral. Children who do not pass state standard tests are children who live in poverty regardless of race. All children need to be loved and educated so that they see themselves as important. “My teacher will miss me if I’m not there.” Teachers you need to “miss” your students when they are absent.
I don’t know if I should use the word irony or hypocrisy, but the E word in DOE and NEA is education. How terrible that an organization identified with educating children has become so radically political.

I am thinking its time for federal money follow the child! Parents want their children taught not indoctrinated. People have to stand up. What have we allowed to happen in our country? Who do we turn to in order to bring truth to our children? I’m all for ‘private schools, charter schools, Christian schools, etc. These teachers who support this horror are committing suicide to what public schools are all about. I might be a little fish in this big pond, but I have a loud voice via emails, social media, phone calls, letters, etc. I will not sit still and be quiet while these people destroy our children.
Why don’t local communities or even states simply fire teachers that are members of unions that are demanding to teach communist dogma? I would guess these unions are stuck like ticks so some legislation would be required to fire teachers that insist on keeping their union membership. Someone needs to talk to former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and see how he drained the teachers unions in Wisconsin….maybe get him to head up a commission to end this reign of communist terror that these out of control unions have brought to our kids at OUR expense.
