Socialism

WASHINGTON, DC, Nov 7 — They call themselves the World Economic Forum and they gather in the swanky environs of Davos, Switzerland four times a year. Who are they? They are millionaires, billionaires and assorted wannabe elitists. They eat, drink and merrily discuss the fate of the world.

A new book, Against the Great Reset, by cultural-political consultant Michael Walsh describes them as a “cabal of bankers, techies, corporate executives, politicians, senior bureaucrats, academics, and pundits who … seek to change, reduce, restrict, and homogenize the Western way of life—but only for ordinary people. Their own way of life, along with the wealth and power that define it, they seek to entrench, augment, deepen, and extend.”

Fear not. America is still a capitalist nation. While a fair number of Democrats seem to have abandoned support for capitalism, a poll conducted earlier this year shows that overall 55% of respondents said they favored capitalism over socialism and so-called democratic socialism including 56% of Independents, 67% of Republicans and even 42% of Democrats. “The survey [found] that Democrats are the only party to hold favorable views of democratic socialism and socialism, both before and after being presented with ideology descriptions,” according to a report by a progressive think tank, Data For Progress. It found that “a majority of voters associate capitalism with success and the American dream.”

The organization known as FEE [Free-market Economics, Entrepreneurship] says there is good reason that most Americans have low esteem for socialism. Because “socialist policies, when enacted, have catastrophic effects on the lives of the people living under them. To enforce such policies, governments must take control of people’s property—whether by fully nationalizing businesses, mandating what and how much a company must produce, or seizing and distributing their products—thereby violating people’s right to the product of their own effort. The victims include entrepreneurs who have built or purchased businesses, landlords who maintain and manage properties, and everyone who earns a wage, from construction workers to artists.”

The Fee article goes on to cite two countries that describe themselves as socialist societies, Venezuela and North Korea. Venezuela officially became a socialist country in 1999. Here’s a country that once was the fourth wealthiest country in the world. Today, it is high on the list of the most impoverished nations. In fact, according to The Policy Circle, today “almost 90% of the population [is] living in poverty … As of early 2022, more than 7 million Venezuelans in Venezuela are in critical need, and almost 6 million have fled to 17 countries across the region … a nationalization spree in the 2000s pushed out all private enterprise, starved industries of technical expertise and investment and sent government-controlled institutions into a downward spiral. Exchange rate controls and price controls broke the basic link between supply and demand, creating surreal economic distortions.”

As for North Korea, the country emerged from World War II as a communist state, according to FEE. “But [it] formally switched to a form of ‘self-reliant’ socialism following the Korean War. The leadership of the Worker’s Party of Korea has brought widespread misery in the form of horrific rights violations, including torture, severe censorship, forced labor, and arbitrary detention. Their policies have also led to nearly half the country suffering from inconsistent access to food and water—in stark contrast to their far more capitalist neighbor, South Korea, which has flourished in recent decades.”

Irving Berlin wrote the song, God Bless America, and He did. Our free-market capitalism drives our economic growth, it lets “we, the people,” choose the products and services that take priority and dictate their costs.

Socialism has ever worked and I fear we are headed there quickly. Praying God will spare us.
The “elite” group that meets in Cabal Switzerland are the bases or beginning of the one world government. The supporters of the Antichrist written about in The Revelation of John. Very evil people.

There is a problem with the message in this article, the people who need to see it don’t. Worse, the liberals who might see this message are unable, or unwilling to understand it.

I’m beginning to think that there is a deviation in the genetic make up of liberals. Nothing else would come as close to explaining their lemming-like attraction to socialism.

The Democrats? Most of them understand socialism but as the elite they gain the power and perks of the positions in such autocratic governments. In plain words, the Democrat elite are more equal than their acolytes.

This sounds familiar. The democrats are doing a good job at destroying our middle class. We will have the poor class and the very rich soon. This way they can control us. The sad part is most hard working, taxpayers, don’t see this coming. Biden has two more years to totally destroy our country.

Socialism has FAILED 25 times and this makes number 26.
A TRUE History lesson in Socialism…
More people have DIED under Socialism than ALL the WARS in HISTORY COMBINED. FACT.
Every country that tried Socialism the PEOPLE are the ones who PAID the PRICE by LOSING THEIR FREEDOMS, THEIR ECONOMY, THEIR FOOD, THEIR MEDICINE, THEIR FUEL, THEIR MONEY, and THEIR LIVES while THEIR
DICTATORS like DICTATOR BEIJING BIDEN live High and Mighty HIDING Behind Barbwire living off the PEOPLE BEING TAXED TO DEATH
WITH ZERO INCOME, ZERO FOOD, and ZERO ENERGY PRODUCTION.
Just look at how much INCOME and FREEDOMS AMERICANS
HAVE LOST under DICTATOR Beijing biden and the FASCIST liberals.
Check your wallets and Bank account not to mention your gas tank and utilities with their main goal is DESTRUCTION of OUR U.S. CONSTITUTION and the UNITED STATES of AMERICA.
That’s Socialism.

Democracy does not trump socialism. The best example of pure democracy in action is a lynch mob. Democracy not circumscribed by individual rights can degenerate into socialism. An ideology that limits government to acting like each individual is an end in [him]self and not merely the means to another end is what trumps socialism, if the governed do not let their fallen condition get the ‘better’ of them.

The UNITED STATES of AMERICA is
TOO TOUGH to die so long as
AMERICANS STAND FIRM
LIKE OUR FOREFATHERS DID.
I, FOR ONE, AM AN AMERICAN and PROUD OF IT.
AND I STAND FIRM LIKE OUR
FOREFATHERS THAT RISKED IT ALL
TO CREATE THE GREATEST NATION
IN HISTORY.
AND IT IS MY DUTY AS AN AMERICAN
TO STAND BEHIND HER.

Socialism is one thing, and it is bad enough for all the reasons mentioned, however, in the US most of the liberal crazy left have already stepped over socialism for communism instead. Give socialism time and it always morphs into communism. Socialism is the con that suck people into the belief that taking money from the rich and giving it to the poor, is a good idea. They say it makes everyone equal, I say it eventually makes everyone equally poor.

Once this happens, and it can happen very fast, look at Venezuela for an example, the only way socialism can continue is that the power structure needs to change to totalitarianism to force compliance. Then communism becomes the dominant force with the obligatory dictators in charge.

God help America if this is what half the country wants, it will not end well!!

The premise of the article is basically incorrect and thus inaccurate. Steve Greenwell belows points out what the error is. The correct terminology that should have been used throughout the article is free and fair market capitalism trumps socialism. Not the inaccuractely described use of the term democracy versus socialism. We are NOT a democracy. That is indeed mob rule at the end of the day. Nowhere in the Constitution of the United States will you find the term democracy used to describe what the United States is as a form of government.

Does the WEF seek to create a global order that is essentially socialistic in nature? Absolutely. The literature they put out and the way they frame what they want the world to look like in various speeches, all of which they expact would be under their direct control of course, describes global socialism to a “T”.

Socialism only “works” for those at the very top of the food chain in terms of political power. It allows those few “elite” to “redistribute” (confiscate via taxation or regulation or even just steal it if you want to describe it in its simplist terms) the wealth and resources of any nation foolish enough to adopt this form of governance into the hands of the same ruling elite. All while the masses essentially are reduced to virtual slaves fully dependent on the socialist government for everything with no say in anything. This is how socialism has worked for well over a 100 years in multiple countries. Once nations go down this path, they never truly ever recover even if they, at some point, manage to really free themselves from those that enslaved them and looted the nation.

One would hope the American people are intelligent enough to NOT fall for the siren song of socialism, but the jury is unfortunately still out on that point. As the population of our nation becomes intentionally less well educated and more ignorant of the obvious dangers that exist around all around us, it is questionable whether the United States can continue to maintain some semblance of the free, representative republic that was originally founded.

Nice to know most Americans still love capitalism in our country! We need to get the indoctrination out of the school system, including the universities and colleges cuz that indoctrination will NOT help this country generations from now!

Amazing to me that only 55% of respondents favor capitalism over socialism………These people need to travel to a few other countries & I will bet they will then realize how good they have it in USA and the freedoms they have.

There are other illustrations of failed socialism, much closer to home. Post-Churchill England, during the term of PM Clement Attlee, failed on every front to enact socialism. It was set on path of economic decline for decades, and was rescued (somewhat) by PM Margaret Thatcher. Her successors are continuing to veer from the pathway she set. This is where the U.S. seems to be going today. The state of Israel, during its early years, set out a course to socialism, which failed in the ’60s and ’70s, but which, during the term of PM Netanyahu, has taken a free market course, to their benefit and to ours as well. The Trump administration, history will tell us, held its ground against this call to extreme leftism. Even alleged conservatives have joined with the jackals to attack him personally. Shame on them.

Vladimir Lenin said, “If you have Socialism, you have Communism.” Some of our gov. leaders identify with Socialism/Communism. Biden is U.S. CCP endorsed, as China advanced in the U.S. Chinese Elite owns 140,000 TX border, energy acres near a U.S. Air Force Base. China or CCP owns 150,000 farm acres, some rural towns, & 70+ industries. CCP owns 400 N.D. acres near a N. Air Force Base. In 2018, China confiscated billions of Canadian ventures & Real Estate. Canada responded ordering China out of it’s mines, & made a law to protect land for future Canadians. Biden recently attacked U.S. Coal mines. Manchin responded, he was out of touch with reality. U.S. gets a dozen by products from coal: soap, aspirin, paint, dyes, solvents & plastics etc. Activated carbon is essential in production of air purification, water filter & kidney dialysis machines. We need our fossil fuels & resources, Biden & his Democrat Admin. have attacked our oil industry leases & now the coal industry.

Socialism is economic democracy. Democracy is political socialism. Under democracy, each person, in theory, has an equal say in society’s political affairs. Under socialism, each person, in theory, has an equal say in society’s economic affairs. In both socialism and democracy, each person has an equal say.

We find it funny that so many politicians use the world socialism when in reality they should be using communism! The Democrats agenda is COMMUNISM, right out of Marx and what George Soros has been pushing for decades! Soros is the owner of the party, and they will do what he wants! The GOP failed America this mid-term for the Freedom Caucus was focus on Trump and his agenda on getting even, the other part of GOP was focus on “never” Trump! The losers were the hard-working Americans that they claim they represent! Trump was key to the losses this mid-term and the other was the poor messaging by GOP. All we hear from Freedom Caucus people are investigations of FBI, DOJ, Biden’s Fauci, etc.. NOTHING about how to fix the energy crisis and inflation! Trump loss the independents in 2020 because they had enough of his arrogance and rhetoric! He is a bitter old man like Biden! He cannot win in 2024 and the mid-terms demonstrated it! Losing in PA, GA and AZ the key states to win the WH he loss! As a family of independents, we are sick of both parties! Democrats representing Communism and complete control over our lives and GOP representing bitterness and getting even with the Democrats! We don’t need China to destroy us Biden and Trump is doing it within!

‘Governments are instituted among and by men…’nothing of man is perfect. Elites like to criticize capitalism for not being perfect, but it alone provides a means for anyone to raise themselves above the conditions they were born into. We may not be able to go as far as our dreams, but life by its nature isn’t fair. Socialism just lets the privileged get and choose who gets it good, and the common people get table scraps, if that.
