bidenPresident Trump and rival Joe Biden sparred over environmental policy at the end of the presidential debate on Thursday, with Biden indicating he would “transition” away from dependence on oil.

“Would he close down the oil industry?” Trump asked. “Would you close down the oil industry?”

“I would transition from the oil industry, yes,” Biden responded.

“That’s a big statement,” Trump commented.

“It is a big statement, because…the oil industry pollutes, significantly,” Biden responded.

“It has to be replaced by renewable energy over time,” Biden added. “And I’d stop giving to the oil industry—I’d stop giving them federal subsidies. [Trump] won’t give federal subsidies to solar and wind. Why are we giving it to the oil industry?”

However, the former vice president proceeded to deny that he would ban fracking, despite having promised to do so several times during the Democratic primaries. While Trump pointed out that Biden had said he would ban fracking, Biden asserted that he would ban “fracking on federal land…no fracking and/or oil on federal land.”

Earlier in the debate, Trump mocked Biden’s environmental policies as equivalent to the Green New Deal.

Biden’s “plan is an economic disaster,” Trump said. “If you look at what he wants to do, if you look at his environmental plan—you know who developed it? A.O.C. plus three.”

Loony plan, like CA 2035 clean air plan & No one mentions Thorium reactors, molten salt reactors & or Offshore wind/solar farms for energy & to update grid.
OK PA & TX LA GA make known your feelings on fracking.
Dems have NO vision ahead BUT More Govt, taxes.
& nothing about commercial EV charging centers nationwide

Every time Biden stumbles or puts his foot in his mouth, the liberal media is there to catch him. The unAmerican NY Times published an editorial claiming Trump was the worst President in history – an effort to offset Biden’s poor performance – even though he had a moderator who attacked Trump and supported Biden in every way she could??

Energy independence can be nothing but good for the country. It removes so many geopolitical problems from our plate its not funny. The fact that Biden must know this but doesn’t care is telling.

This is just a peek of the what the people behind Biden (Who are really running the show)

They don’t care what happens to the country or the people in it.

I watched the debate from beginning to the bitter end, I believe that President Trump won the debate by a 85% TO 15%
margin, My biggest takeaway was that former Vice President sleepy Joe Biden said, choosing his words very carefully that he didn’t take any money from a foreign source, well Joe maybe that’s true, you took it from your son Hunter Biden, who took it from a foreign source. COME ON MAN !
God bless America !
God bless President Donald J. Trump!

Sleepyhead Joe’s plans mean nothing. Pelosi is already planning his demise with the 25th Amendment. Her one statement about this should have turned everyone away from Biden and opened their eyes to the plan in place. People voting for Biden are not trying to elect a president, they are trying to appoint a Czar.

Ambitious blather coming from someone who, when he wins (because, sadly, it appears he will) is only gonna be in office for a few months at best. This whole Hunter laptop thing is a godsend to the left. They’re slow walking the whole thing now, and trying to put a lid on it until after the election. Then all bets are off as they claim to have “discovered new evicdence” that has to be acted upon. Maybe they will turn to the Clinton Foundation for help, or appoint Hillary as special prosecutor. Crazy Joe will be prosecuted, forced to resign and, with any luck, locked up for a long time. (That’s lefty love in action for ya.) Then, with President Harris in office, the dismal obama years are gonna look like a walk in the park. Or at least that is my prediction.

The best part of the debate occurred when Trump emphasized the fact that Sleepy Joe has been in DC politics for 47 years and has accomplished nothing of benefit for the American people. In fact he supported the taxing of Social Security benefits as well as sponsoring and helping pass the Crime Bill that resulted in the incarceration of thousands of young black men for mere possession of marijuana. However, as recent unassailable revelations have disclosed, Joe apparently spent a good portion of his 47 years as a politician enriching himself and his family. Like a crime boss, all he can do now is to deny, deny, deny.

Oil is used more efficiently than ever today. It is polluting less, too. Wind and solar have their place and can and should grow that place but until both are cheaper or, at least, on a par in price to oil and natural gas. In the meantime, they’ll remain at the back of the pack of energy providers and it is NOT government’s duty to bully us into “clean” energy.

We’ve been fracking in Kern County California for over 40 years. A friend of mine invented the guidable horizontal boring tool. The combination made us energy independent. Biden would still eliminate an industry that provides tens of thousands of products that are essential for life. It isn’t only gas and Oil

I am sure I am not alone in thinking that it looks like all the criminal activity commited by the socialist/dems will eventually be swept under the rug, and stopped being talked about, everyone who used thier political office to make themselves and thier families rich should be FINED THE TOTAL AMOUNT THEY RECEIVED ILLEGALLY WITH INTEREST AND PENALTIES AND MAKE ALL FAMILY MEMBERS PAY AS WELL, by the time we punish all these crooks we should end up with BILLIONS, and then we should ADD all of it to SOCIAL SECURITY to repay all the money they stole from us.

President Trump did a great job debating Joe Biden. I don’t think anyone would disagree that he was more composed than last time…or he had a better coach and listened to feedback.

Biden talks about having “plans” for everything, without considering whether the public wants to accept them or if they even can be implemented. Sure, I’d love to drive a car that has zero emissions. But I don’t want the government mandating that I purchase an electric vehicle and ditch the truck I’ve been driving for 20 years. I can insulate my own house, so I don’t need to have it rebuilt. But I’ll do it at my own pace. That’s the freedom I have–to choose how I run my own life. With Biden/Harris, you won’t have that choice, and their plans will bankrupt the country.

With natural gas cleanly fueling systems that need energy to function, we have been veering away from reliance on coal and oil. That’s why our air quality has improved. This happened in the free marketplace, with industry seeking alternatives (opportunities) and responding to consumer demand. That’s how it should happen in a capitalist society. It’s true what the president said about air quality in China. Just look at photographs of their cities, and see how much the people’s voices count.

Vote Trump/Pence, please.

I live in a solar home and it is efficient (when the sun is shining), but wind turbines are a disaster. They are expensive, incredibly inefficient and, as Trump said, they have killed a multitude of birds. Biden’s notion of being totally dependent on renewable energy by 2025 is a joke. On another note, how does someone like me, who lives on a fixed income, going to even be able to afford an electric car? Does anyone believe for a moment that the charging stations will even be operable in the winter with no sun in a blinding snowstorm? C’mon man, get real!!

For any of us who remember the 1973 Arab Oil Embargo it was a scary wake up call for America! America responded by building more fuel efficient cars, homes and buildings. The Keystone Pipeline almost did not get built. It took a lot of time and hard work for America to become Energy Independent and now Joe wants to throw it all away! In the mid to late 80s the price of oil plummeted and had a drastic effect on Texas. I remember driving around San Antonio in 1988 and every street had numerous Bank Foreclosure signs on the front lawns of homes. It looked like an episode of The Twilight Zone! For many areas oil is the main business and we cannot just simply stop. Venezuela used to be a wealthy country due to oil and look at it now! I am in favor of alternative energy sources as technology progresses but it has to be phased in gradually, carefully and cost effectively. A coworker advised he listened to a radio program regarding California having all Electric Cars by a certain year. It was brought up that there are millions of cars in that state and if all of them were plugged in to recharge overnight at the same time it would overwhelm the power grid! We have seen how vulnerable the Ca Power Grid has been the last few years.

I too watched the debate and enjoyed it much more than the first. I still find it frustrating when a candidate does not answer a direct question but that is Politics. I was prepared for the worst from the Moderator but was pleasantly surprised. I am glad America got to hear about the Hunter Biden Scandal finally! Everyone at the FBI who sat on that scandal should be held accountable! I am happy President Trump brought up all the time Joe had to get important business done over the years but somehow did not! I would hope in future elections the debates would be scheduled sooner. With all the early voting this election there may be voters that changed their mind about Joe after last night but it is too late.
God Bless America

That’s the problem! Biden believes government can transition us from oil and gas to something environmentally friendly. Reality Alert! There’s no friendly energy source to transition us to! Anything that could replace oil and gas would be monumental and likely be invented through the private sector. The ideas of the radical left are unworkable!

Biden’s ally, China, is the biggest polluter in the world and has shown zero interest in abolishing fossil fuels or in damaging their economy in favor of climate change. India and other developing nations have similar issues. That means that should America and even Europe bear the entire burden of eliminating fossil fuels we will make no significant impact, not a dent, on the climate and will have seriously damaged our economies and every energy consumer in the process. In other words, the “Green New Deal” is flat stupid!! Being promoted by a radical leftist bartender should tell us all we need to know.

Better to embrace three goals.

One is to continue domestically reducing the pollution from fossil fuels through science and engineering which has been ongoing for a long time already and has had very dramatic results.

Two is to continue investigating viable alternatives. Nuclear power is an excellent means of generating high volumes of electricity besides natural gas while being both safe, clean, and economical based on cost for each megawatt of power generated. We should be building nuclear power plants rather than shutting them down and building wind/solar farms which are not economical, not environmentally friendly, and not reliable.

Three is to work on means of dealing with climate change most of which is perfectly natural and outside of man’s control. Our Earth has been evolving and changing since creation and mostly due to natural causes. We cannot hope to change that, only to deal with it.

The biggest thing of all is to eliminate the politics and fear-mongering in favor of common sense.

I didn’t watch much of the debate, but what I saw was biden accusing Trump of using public money for his projects, he never mentioned where all the money for social medicine and free child care, free college tuition, health care for illegals would come from. I can answer that, if you work for a living, it’s your wages that will go to pay. Your payroll taxes would amount to more than half your wages! You would not ever want to get seriously sick, you would wait your turn for a doctor appt. Just like in communist russia the government would dictate where you will work and for how much! I had relation that visited when I was young from a communist country, it was a frightening experience, they were always looking over their shoulder constantly whispering so anyone listening could not hear. When they returned they were imprisoned so they wouldn’t spread their experience to others. All we would need is to elect a puppet president like biden.

““It is a big statement, because…the oil industry pollutes, significantly,” Biden responded.”

What kind of an idiot would say something like that? Well, the same kind of idiot who would follow-up with this…

“I’d stop giving to the oil industry—I’d stop giving them federal subsidies. [Trump] won’t give federal subsidies to solar and wind. Why are we giving it to the oil industry?”

  1. The President doesn’t ‘GIVE’ anything. Congress does that.
  2. What subsidies to oil? Oil exploration gets the same deductions any other US company gets. They don’t get any ‘subsidies’ to search for and extract petroleum products from the ground.
  3. Solar and other ‘renewable’ energy get all manner of subsidies and Federally insured loan guarantees

Biden, you are officially an idiot.

People who have natural gas providing electricity know what a cost difference it makes.
They have to swallow quite a bit of propaganda to accept this fazing out of fossil fuels. If we don’t use our natural resources for both jobs and low prices for electricity, we aren’t using common sense.

My wife and I have been life-long Conservatives, I will b 89 years old in two weeks, and she unfortunately passed away 3 months ago at age 88, so was not able to vote for Donald Trump again this time. I have already voted a Republican ticket. However, we were not blindly devoted to any political party regardless of their platform, or what they stand for, as some unfortunately are. There have been a couple of times in past years when we voted based on who we felt was the best candidate for the country at the time. We voted for John F. Kennedy for president, but voted Republican for all other offices that year because we felt he was the best choice at that time. We voted for a Democrat Governor twice for the same reason, Reagan, as governor of California when he was a Democrat, and Governor Brown, father of the recent failed governor of California. We again voted for President Reagan as a Republican, who was the best president the country has seen in my life time. My wife and I stayed up all night praying for Donald Trump to win over corrupt Hillary Clinton. And while I normally cannot see myself ever voting Democrat for again, I am at odds with some basic parts of the Republican Party, too. I don’t like the support of big business no matter what, especially the denial of the proven global warming affects on the climate caused by factory pollution. The Republican Party puts support of big business pollution above the welfare of our climate, planet, and the health of our children and the future. The oil industry is one of the biggest polluters in the world, and while I am all for energy independence, that would be better achieved through more development of less polluting energy, such as natural gas, solar, and electricity than petroleum. Supporting industries that pollute to get votes, by saving those jobs, such as the coal industry, is not good for America. So while I would never vote for Biden, I do support phasing out the oil industry and replacing it with more efficient, less polluting, energy sources. I pray that President Trump wins this election, but worry that he has recently done much to hurt his chances.

Saw a picture with the burial of huge turbine blades, a huge graveyard of them and other wind turbine parts in Oregon. The person who posted this on Ben Shapiro’s site also spoke of farm land that had been taken away by eminent domain so these could be buried. Because of what the turbines are made of, steel and plastics (produced from natural gas, feedstocks derived from natural gas processing, and feedstocks derived from crude oil refining), seems to me- you wouldn’t be able to have your wind turbines without your oil. Not to mention, these turbines break awfully quickly if they already need to be buried. Plastics also don’t break down, remember our grade school classes? Isn’t that bad for the environment?

I also watched the entire debate, which was more subdue in tone, then the last but that wasn’t what I was listening for. I was following to hear every word before the media presents their biased interpretation slant. I did not find Biden to be convincing and he deliberately avoided answering questions asked by the moderator, who did try to get him to reply. I guess that what he spent those days hiding in the basement, practicing how to put what the Democrats wanted to be heard. He was very dismissive of Trump as an equal as he was the better. The best was his non-answer to environmental plan, and his response to what he plans to do to all workers in the oil industry, which handed all those voters to Trump. As to his (Biden’s) argument plan on healthcare, calling it Bidencare, his statement that anyone who “proves” insufficient income (every person on welfare and those who work off books) will be guaranteed healthcare. That was the final nail to his coffin because the funds for Medicaid come from Medicare funds which told me that us seniors are going to lose our Medicare benefits. I am voting Red across the board.

The whole Green New Deal (Biden’s plan) isn’t about saving the planet, science, or energy conservation. It’s about power and control! Same reason Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait years ago! Whoever controls the energy today, controls the people since everything needs energy. When the left starts living the Green life like they want us all to do, then maybe I’ll listen to them! Obama just bought a multi-million dollar mansion on the coast of Martha’s Vineyard so I guess he stopped believing in Climate Change too! It’s all a scam!!! If we are ever going to get to a full renewable energy society, it will be the private sector that does this NOT the government or any of their policies!

Cannot believe Biden said he would transition away from the oil industry & slammed them for pollution. The US worked hard to get oil production to the level that the US is not dependent on foreign countries & that is why the American economy has done so well for the last 30-years. Well, Joe Biden just lost the election with this statement . Also , Trump asked Texas/Pennsylvania if listening and does not mention all of the other states that contribute to energy dependence. (Bad when only wants votes of these two states).

Wind Energy: Have you ever stood under a wind generator at a wind farm? They are extremely noisy. A farmer who lives next door to a wind farm told me they cause headaches. I attended a demonstration for a small wind turbine for for the electrical needs of one family. Doing the math, it would take about 20 years to pay for it self, I then asked the presenter the life expectancy of the wind generating equipment, he said 18- 20 years.

But California is not energy independent and imports over half of the oil that it uses and yet the Democrats here (where I live) seem to be in agreement with Biden. Probably a good portion of the country uses gas to heat their homes and they want us to freeze. Solar and wind energy will never provide enough energy for what we need to heat our homes, light our homes and businesses and charge all of these electric cars coming on the market. Plus wind machines have killed birds and bats – fewer bats – more mosquitos.

If Biden and his Green Deal wants to have us not use any fossil fuels is crazy. 1. What will be the fuel for planes and military hardware, tanks, APC, jets, and helicopters? 2. What will the large number of locomotives use for fuel? 3. What will the steel mills use to melt the medal for wind turbines? 4. What fuel will the heavy equipment use for all the mining of minerals to make the batteries. 5. Where will we find the land to mine the minerals, as i understand it there will be some large hole to get the minerals out? 7. What in the hell will be do with all the autos and trucks that won’t have fuel to run?
I just don’t see how in the hell Old Joe can pull this off and he wants to get back in the Accord thing, it is just crazy thinking and no matter how you do it wind mills and soar cannot produce enough energy to power our electrical grid.
