In recent weeks, the national media has generated an unusual amount of criticism directed at an unlikely political figure. Though most Americans have come to expect the nearly daily deluge of negative coverage of former President Donald Trump, conservative Supreme Court justices, and Congressional Republicans, the media’s new scapegoat is none other than the man they once hailed as “hero” and “savior”: President Joe Biden.
The summer months have seen a startlingly high volume of handwringing op-eds and cable news segments urging Biden not to seek a second term as president, or otherwise questioning his competency as Commander-in-Chief. On July 24, for instance, the Washington Post ran an op-ed titled “Quit, Joe, Quit!” In late June, Newsweek published a column “begging” Biden not to run in 2024. Several weeks prior, The Atlantic circulated a piece stating “bluntly” that “Joe Biden should not run for reelection in 2024.” Publications like the New York Times, CNN, The Hill, and others have repeatedly published polls reminding the American people that an overwhelming majority of voters—including most Democrats—do not want Biden to seek the presidency for a second time. The list goes on.
In addition to highlighting just how much of a disaster the Biden presidency has been, these headlines perfectly encapsulate why the media has lost so much trust with the public – and why their attacks on the president look so ridiculous now. The Biden presidency is, after all, the media’s own creation. Most Americans remember well the days of the media’s endless fawning over Biden during the 2020 campaign, as well as their zealous insistence that he was the only one who could, in their minds, save American democracy.
Ahead of the 2020 election, The Boston Globe endorsed Biden as “uniquely poised to restore the integrity of the presidency and to repair the damage of the last four years.” The New Yorker insisted Biden would bring about a “remarkable presidency.” The Economist published an op-ed claiming the next president “has to be Biden,” as that he would undoubtedly put “a fractured country back together again.”
As is clear to anyone with a memory that extends beyond just a few months ago, the same people and entities now calling for Biden’s ouster and deriding him as unfit to serve a second term are precisely the same figures who breathlessly insisted he was a political godsend – and who helped boost Biden over the top after he lagged behind Bernie Sanders in early primary contests.
Biden’s come-from-behind victory in the 2020 Democratic primaries, even after badly losing both the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary (at which point the media acknowledged his campaign was “on life support”), can be largely attributed to a mainstream media crusade to coalesce the party’s base behind Biden, who was seen as a more electable alternative to Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont. Biden then went on to win a vast majority of remaining primary contests—including in South Carolina and most Super Tuesday races—proving beyond any reasonable doubt the media’s outsized role in both nominating Biden and ostensibly helping him cross the finish line in the general election. Moreover, the establishment’s present qualms about Biden’s old age were of no concern to them—at least publicly—in the months leading up to November.
Political pundits and elected officials on both sides of the aisle now like to blame Biden directly for the nation’s growing array of crises, including soaring inflation, unaffordable gas prices, unprecedented surges in illegal immigration, a deadly crime wave, historic tensions with Russia and China, and much more. It is true that Biden has enacted a slew of ill-advised policies that precipitated these crises, and voters should hold him and his compatriots in Congress accountable, both this November and in 2024.
But it is also true that none of this would have befallen America without the political activism of the same media that is now working overtime to expel him from office. Also culpable in his rise to power are the self-branded “moderate” politicians (including the “Never Trump” Republicans) who amplified the media’s pro-Biden narratives and aided in their efforts to put him in office. Throughout the 2020 campaign, it was these individuals who not only elevated Biden, but publicly smeared President Trump, even going so far as to help suppress a bombshell story about Biden’s potential entanglements in his son Hunter’s foreign business dealings.
All of this was necessary, the media and Washington, D.C. establishment insisted, in order to defeat Trump and “save democracy.” But now, ironically, no one is doing more than Biden himself to pave the way for a second Trump term. It may thus be that first by elevating Biden, and now by tearing him down, the media only delayed – not stopped – a second Trump term.
Just like that famous Seinfeld episode, The Opposite!
Let’s call them by their true titles. Activists, not journalists.

Democrats were behind passage of the Federal Election Campaign Act and the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act. Democrats tell us there is too much money in politics, the corporate voice has too much influence in elections and wealth has too much sway in politics.
After Watergate “We the People”, non-profits, political parties and PACs were regulated but the corporate media were exempted, because government could not infringe corporation’s 1st Amendment rights.
What happened to equal protection and rights under law? how does exempting the corporate voice and regulating citizen’s voice lessen corporate influence?
Before Federal Campaign laws there were 50 major news corporations in America. With the incentive to buy exemption now there only six major media corporations and they mostly lean liberal. Is this why the liberal Democrats only object to the voice of other than media corporations voice? But isn’t the corporate media dependent on the advertising dollars of other corporations?
What is the difference between editorials and news other than who pays for it? Would political parties take advantage of political leanings of corporate media to slant or spike the news? ROFLO.
Has the power of money in politics been overrated? The fortunes spent by billionaires in the 2020 election would indicate that is the case. Perhaps the flyover people are not as stupid as some politicians would like to believe?

Hatred always trumps reason and common sense. It makes people do despicable things. All the media, social, business, political forces who hated the Donald combined their efforts to get rid of him, with the help of billionaires like Zuckerberg who, under the guise of Covid safety, coughed up 420 million to bribe election officials to acquiesce and insert the paid “soldiers” of Mark Elias to slant the election to Biden in closely competitive states.
The basic problem that America has is twofold. First, black Americans who have had their communities destroyed by drugs, the general nihilism of our society, and the pack of lies sold to them by the Democratic Party. The Democrats never really gave up slavery, they just exchanged cotton for votes and chains for government benefits. Second, neurotic, emotionally unstable white women (in other words about 3/5ths of them). This group can be whipped into a frenzy over any ridiculous issue regardless of what a reasoned, calm assessment of the underlying facts would yield. From “climate change” to Covid hysteria to the “systemic racism” that killed George Floyd. If you look back through history, you can see this pattern of destructive behavior from this demographic every time. Whats the first thing women do when their country is invaded by a foreign army? They start marrying and breeding with the men who killed their fathers, uncles, and brothers. Without a majority of these two dangerously manipulated groups, the modern Democratic party doesnt exist.
Biden’s mental deficiencies were plainly clear to all before the elections, but not a peep from the press. It was one thing to hide Roosevelt’s paralysis from the public. The active exclusion of Biden’s disabilities by the media before the election was unconscionable.
I would never forget the media’s role in the Biden election, but neither should anyone forget the RINO role in the Biden election and in his administration after the fact. The bankrupt GOP leaders, like Mitch McConnell refused to get behind the base, the voters. Without a connection, like what Trump had, there is no reason for the voters to fight for the GOP. Just because the media lies on a daily basis, is not a reason to go along. The GOP are waiting to the Dems to trip over themselves, but they bring nothing to the table.
Do you believe White children deserve a homeland?

Do you believe that tens of MILLIONS of non-Whites flooding into EVERY White country and ONLY into White countries and being force integrated/assimilated into EVERY facet of White society is White Genocide?

All of this is well and good… but the reality is that the Democrats were hijacked by a progressive agenda that has driven the country into the ground. It is the policies that are failing this country, not a feeble president who accomplished the main goal of “Get the Orange Man out of Washington”. So they are scapegoating him, hoping that Gavin Newsom can come save the day. Which means they have learned nothing.
All of this, to me, is a replay of Carter, and we got 12 years in the White House for the Republicans. Here is guessing it happens again.
Democrats are destroying the nation as you stupidly look on without resistance. They laugh at your cowardice and spit in your face. They are right. There is no resistance to their Communist takeover.
Democrats’ support (in & out of the media) for Biden was always utterly utilitarian. He was the available vehicle to get them past the obstacle de jour: the unelectable (or so their polling told them) Bernie Sanders in the Dem primary, and Donald Trump in the 2020 general election. But in politics, as in economics, there’s no such thing as a free lunch. Electing a mediocrity like Biden is having disasterous consequences. (Ditto: electing a mediocrity’s mediocrity like Kamala Harris.) Plus, Joe’s surrounded himself with staffers who’re well versed in progressive pieties, but who lack most real-world experiences — business, legislative, military, and kitchen table — they’re D.C. beltway activists direct from the cloister of liberal academia. They’ve a religious-like faith in their political beliefs, and a zealot’s hostility towards any who question them.
I will go to my grave believing 2020 was rigged and Biden is illegitimate. My faith in elections has been destroyed by the election softwares that are easily manipulated and the complete lack of action by the Republicans to get to the bottom of it. On a federal and state level I see for the most part a uniparty.
The democrats pander to a race trying to rewrite history and tearing down statues INSTEAD of fixing the root cause in their community…..trapped in failing schools and REMOVAL of freedom of religion and expression was the glue that held the family together in those rough times as America comes out of all the associated baggage from slavery and racism in the past.

I stopped believing anything I see in the news media years ago. They have finally lied once too often. They lie continuously. If the news media is to be rescued, then we must impose occupational licensing to practice journalism. It will take a cudgel of that magnitude to restore credibility to the news media. We must have a potent accountability system to punish news media liars if the media is to survive
I am highly concerned that if the voting system is NOT fixed in the near future so that if cannot be rigged, this Nation will lapse into a system of Communistic governance completely … and its pretty close now. Also, it is becoming obvious that term-limits is a MUST to avoid the God-like aura our major politician in the Congress seem to see and conduct themselves. And a balanced budget amendment is direly needed since the Congress long since has learned how to bribe the electorate with their own money. All is not and far from being well in the Nation’s governance … primarily because we have allowed one party … (Guess which?) … to turn the Nation’s governance to Communism in disguise and the majority of the so-called “news media” has aided this to happen by failing to remain unbiased politically.
