Traditionally, at the turn into a new year we reflect, and often make resolutions about our intentions for the next 12 months. It’s natural, of course, we have a year with 365 unused, fresh days. We already know 2024 is going to be a year that changes everything, but how we respond to those inevitably major events will determine how the year ends and what the future looks like not just for us, but for humanity in general.
Gone are the days when the last half of December was generally quiet when it seemed like, magically, all the news just stopped. It’s worth lamenting those days, but the fact of the matter is the Left and knuckle-dragging savages everywhere never stop. And neither can we.
The presidential election is the big event, with Joe Biden’s destruction of the economy remaining front and center on the minds of voters. But as we know it’s not just that. The disasters on every front are due to discrete decisions, policies, and actions by people who know what they’re doing and have chosen to douse the country with gasoline and light a match.
Yes, we’ve suffered under horrible news and events since January 21, 2021, but the good news is your fellow Americans are finally seeing the truth about the intentions and policies destroying our lives and futures. The trend includes voter data showing Democrats ditching their party in a crucial swing state.
“Unfortunately for Mr. Biden — and for America — stability and unity did not arrive in the wake of his election. Our chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan in late summer of 2021 raised serious questions for many Americans about the competence of our country’s leadership… Even today, inflation and the high cost of living remain acute concerns facing American voters and are why Democrats have lost their trust on issues like the economy.” One expects this honesty from FoxNews.com. But that sentiment was published in the New York Times.
There’s no way around it: describing what’s happening here at home and around the world as gaffs or accidents or happenstance or bad luck is just not the case. From our economy, to the border, to a world at war, and the rise of highly organized and openly displayed antisemitism, all have been unleashed by an incompetent and passive aggressive American administration that shocks the conscience.
The erasure of our southern border is so egregious it seems like a deliberate effort to destroy our country’s sovereignty and security. Allowing mass, unfettered migration looks like it was Job #1 of the Biden administration when they took control in January 2021. Not only does it punish America for daring to elect Trump in 2016, the Left also believes that total chaos will serve them in their dreams for bigger and more totalitarian government.
When we look back on 2021 through 2023, it’s difficult to argue against the observation that the goal of Biden and his enablers has been simply to destroy everything that mattered to Trump because it mattered to us. In fiscal 2023, we know that at both the southern and northern borders and via apprehensions by Customs & Border Protection and the Office of Field Operations, that 736 Known or Suspected Terrorists (KSTs), have been apprehended since Biden became president. That number does not reflect how many KSTs actually made it into the country.
In what can only be described as an effort to look busy as they realize the border catastrophe is not helping Democrats re-election prospects, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas met with Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador to ostensibly discuss the ongoing migrant crisis. What they managed was to release a meaningless statement that would’ve made Kamala Harris’ word salad chef envious.
Instead of announcing a plan to stop the uncontrolled migration into the US there was talk about pouring more money into South and Central American countries. And there was talk of amnesty for those who’ve made it into our country.
The New York Post reports, “Both delegations underlined the efforts that the Biden administration is pursuing through development assistance and humanitarian aid, as well as advancing new private investments in the region… The statement also noted US and Mexico officials ‘discussed the benefit of regularizing the situation of long-term undocumented Hispanic migrants and DACA recipients, who are a vital part of the US economy and society’ — suggesting the Biden administration might take another run at trying to legislate a pathway to citizenship for both adult illegal immigrants and those brought to the US as children.”
You can’t make this up. It is Biden incentives that are, in part, driving this massive human migration. Publicly discussing amnesty and legalization will only encourage the flow of people rushing into our nation, expanding the extent of the disaster for everyone involved.
And for anyone still thinking that the Biden administration actually wants to stop what’s happening at the border, Biden’s Department of Justice has now threatened to sue the state of Texas if they implement their law enabling law enforcement to arrest and deport illegal aliens who enter their state. As lawyer and author David Limbaugh noted on X, “Pay attention, those of you who shamelessly insist the Democrats aren’t intentionally orchestrating this disaster.”
This New Year’s Eve is an excellent time for resolutions focusing on how to make our own lives better as we look to a future that we can trust. One thing both Trump and Biden showed us: our fortunes can turn on a dime. We know that the best is yet to come, and the power is in our hands to make sure it does.
At the end of the day, it is solely up to the American people, as a whole, to decide whether we want to continue down this path that the left has staked out for us (It’s not just Biden, but virtually every Democrat politician shares the same agenda as Team Biden) or whether we decide that is unacceptable and do whatever is required to put the country back on the right track. You get the type of country that you are willing to stand up and fight for. No one is going to come rescue us from our bad choices.
We know where the path the Democrat Party currently has us on will lead to. Whether or not we’re willing to admit it to ourselves. The only question is how much we want to change our course for a return to saner policies before circumstances become irreversible.
Is it fair to say the Democrats are domestic enemies ;of not only to our Constitution but to our way of life? If you vote for a Democrat you too are the enemy.
What more proof does anyone need that the Biden Administration has NO INTENTION of enforcing the immigration laws (or any other laws for that matter) and securing this country’s borders?
Dear Governor Abbott: I think I know a way to wake this useless president up to the crisis on the border. I suggest you send a busload of border invaders to each of the communities he has property in. After all, why should they miss out on living in Biden’s Hood? He imports thousands into ur neighborhood, he should have the same done to him. Then i feel we’ll see that border sealed tight.

I have never read a contemporary article written by Tammy Bruce that didn’t identify the danger of the political road the Democrats are taking us down. What’s even more astonishing is that Ms. Bruce was once a liberal who strongly supported the Democrat Party.
What happened to reverse her political mentality? One could say that she was smart enough to see the hypocrisy in the agenda of the Democrat Party. The Democrats would say one thing and after an election, do exactly the opposite. They promised Ronald Reagan that if he would sign their amnesty bill they would never again oppose the enforcement of our border regulations. They lied, and Reagan always regretted taking their word for it.
Tammy Bruce now strives to convince the people who vote for the Democrat candidate that this is harmful to their American way of life. However, no matter how plainly she presents this message, those who vote for the Democrats fail to understand her message.
One might understand why the mentally defective liberals vote for Marxism, but many of the people who claim to be independent also keep voting for the Democrats. One wonders what the independents think about the Republicans that sways their vote toward the Democrat candidates? The Republicans are not saints, they seem to be just as corrupted by power and money as the Democrats are. The salient difference? While the Republicans would steal the taxpayer’s money, the Democrats go one further, the Democrats also steal the people’s individual rights in order to advance Marxism.
To “get things done” our elected political representatives often need to log roll, i.e. to agree to back another bill to give their bill a chance to be passed into law. The Founding Fathers understood that this “log rolling” was a fact of political reality. What the Founders didn’t foresee was the level of corruption that naturally develops over multiple terms in office. The Founders expected the community leaders to volunteer to serve a term, or two terms in office for reasonable pay, and then retire back to doing what they did back home. Harry Truman said: “Show me a middle class person elected to the Congress who retired rich, and I’ll show you a crook.” Can you imagine what the profoundly obtuse Joe Biden would have done if he didn’t seek and win all of his re elections? Nothing against garbage collectors but that would have been his only career path.
The “new” complication is socialism. Karl Marx and Frederick Engels popularized Socialism in their 1848 work, “The Communist Manifesto”. The false political theory that is socialism never caught on in America, and that’s why the socialists call themselves liberals, and progressives, I’ll say it right now, EVERY political controversy now revolves around the imposition of socialism in every area of our lives. Socialism is all about money. The socialists take money from those who willingly work and give it to those who would not. These promises are how the Democrat candidates wins elections. It is a very compelling ploy.

I am skeptical that we will find a way to stop the Marxists from cheating at least as much and probably more in 2024. They own so much of America now that we cannot count on that happening. isI suggest allowing the public to access “wetback tags” which would allow the citizenry to……well, bag their quota. I was astounded to find that there are still people that believe that off course balloon, admittedly of Chinese manufacture, had anything to do with “spying”. Even the US Navy and the Defense Department have publically stated that “no intelligence gathering equipment was found in the wreckage of the downed Chinese balloon”. It was a simple weather balloon of the type I’ve seen occasionally in the skies my entire life. Yep, it followed a path across the country much of it isolated land and a fraction of which still contains some old missile silos…..but the path it followed was exactly the path of the normal prevailing winds and so being an unpowered simple weather balloon that was always admittedly blown off course by a storm EVERYONE knew occurred over the Pacific Ocean….the balloon had no choice but to follow the prevailing winds.
So to initiate an anti China narrative we, the taxpayers spent millions of dollars in air to air missiles to splash a Chinese weather balloon.
And people wonder why the entire globe is distancing itself from our rapidly dying empire.
