WASHINGTON DC, Nov 1 — Transcript documents show that on January 3, 2020 President Trump ordered the National Guard to stand ready for the January 6 DC riots In a new edition of the Better For America podcast, Congressman Barry Loudermilk [R-GA] told host Rebecca Weber, CEO of the Association of Mature American Citizens, the documents prove the Guard was ready for deployment.

As he explained it, “the DC National Guard is unlike other states where the Guard’s chain of command goes to the governor and the governor can use the Guard and law enforcement to help suppress riots. The DC National Guard exists for the same thing, except their chain of command goes to the president of the United States since there is no governor of the District of Columbia. Thus, former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund made a couple of requests in the days leading up to January 6. But his request was denied because they didn’t like the optics of having the National Guard there. He was denied again on January 6 during which the breach of the Capitol happened and again he was turned down because of the optics. Once shots were fired in the Capitol, it was then that Nancy Pelosi decided, yes, we need the National Guard, and she approved the request to go to the Pentagon.”

According to Congressman Loudermilk, “the request was made around 2:30 in the afternoon, and so there was a discussion within the Pentagon of whether they should deploy the National Guard or not. The final decision to deploy happened around three o’clock, but it wasn’t until about three hours later that the National Guard arrived. So, the question for the Department of Defense Inspector General was what was the purpose of the three hour delay in actually getting the National Guard on the way? Their official report was that the National Guard wasn’t ready.”

However, said Loudermilk, Nancy Pelosi blamed Donald Trump for the National Guard not being there. “She said he could have sent the National Guard, he could have approved them to go, and he didn’t.  General Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff was not a big fan of Donald Trump. But, he said, on January the 3rd Donald Trump, in a phone call, ordered the National Guard to be deployed, noting that there was going to be a large number of protesters here on the 6th. Make sure that you have sufficient National Guard soldiers to make sure it’s a safe event, he said; I don’t care if you use guards or soldiers, do whatever you have to do, just make sure it’s safe. This was General Milley saying that on January 3rd, Donald Trump effectively ordered the National Guard to be ready.”

The question is, why hasn’t the mainstream media reported this sequence of events, he said. As the Congressman put it, “I’d like to thank you for covering it because we have made all this public. We do press releases, but it is totally shut down by the mainstream media. So, thank you for outlets like yourself and the others that are covering this, because one of the reasons that the mainstream media is not covering this is because they can’t put a spin on it because we are using the actual documents, the actual statements, and they can’t put a left leaning spin on it. So, they chose to not cover it.”

Congressman Loudermilk said that when he explains this sequence of events he’s asked “why haven’t we heard anything about this? When are you going to go to the mainstream media? I say, we’ve been going to the mainstream media since day one. But they don’t want to touch it because they can’t spin it. So, thank you for having the courage to stand up and at least let the American people know what’s really going on.” He said that whistleblowers who confirmed his information said that the initial “report from the Department of Defense is a lie. We were purposefully delayed by the Pentagon from going to the Capitol for political reasons. We were finally able to get the Department of Defense to give us 44 depositions, transcripts of depositions under oath by senior military and civilian officials from the Pentagon, and the evidence shows that the National Guard soldiers that testified were honest that the Pentagon purposefully delayed the National Guard from deploying on January 6.

Remember that at that time, higher military leadership was in place and basically controlled by the Democrats, so the military was political for one party’s cause rather than being neutral for the nation. The military leadership then as it is now — IS STILL POLITICAL AND RUN BY THE DEMOCRATS. Somewhere along their careers, the leadership have forgotten their oaths for defending the nation against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC. I dislike stating this, but the current military hierarchy needs be FIRED and replaced by those who remember the oath they have taken. Can WOKE also.

Just another reason the deep state does not want Trump back in office . To much accountability for the past that may be addressed. So much discretion needed when appointing his next staff. I hope and pray his advisers will be on top of this.

Trump made poor choices last time. Hopefully he will NOT do that again. The remnants of the last Presidency (Trump and Biden) need to be fired/retired/whatever. Get them gone so we can start fresh with patriots that will follow their commander in chief (which will HOPEFULLY be Trump)!

Someone should investigate Jan. 6 in detail. I’m sure some video must be available showing those that started the “insurrection”. I suspect they’re Democrat party operatives sent to take advantage of what the DNC saw as an opportunity.

“Why hasn’t the media reported this?” Really? We have to ask!? There is no media… bet they all went to Halloween parties dressed like journalists because they aren’t ones innreal life! They’re nothing but the equivalent of Saddam’s Bagdad Bob for the Democrat Party.

The media won’t cover this information because it proves the narrative that they, and the democrats have been pushing is a lie.

The legacy media are at fault here for deceiving us again. Are they paid by the CCP because they seem to be doing their objectives against Trump?

Yes I agree with other commenters. Make more ads clarifying what really happened on January 6th. I am so tired of them bringing it up , and the phony Project 2025 bullsh*t as well.

The National Guard? You’re expecting the National Guard to do what? Were they coming with weapons locked and loaded? Were they coming with unloaded weapons or were they just coming with defensive riot gear? What was their orders of engagement? We’re not talking about a highly trained battalion of soldiers to handle a bunch of emotional, out-of-control civilians. That’s why we don’t use active duty or reserves. We’re not trained to restrain; we’re trained to kill. But are the national guard soldiers trained for these types of encounters? We’ve got an inauguration coming up and frankly I don’t feel comfortable about either side being mature and respectful. From what I’m seeing, the democrats are even more violent, emotional and out of control than the republicans lately.

Something is wrong with our system if the POTUS does not have the authority to call for reinforcement by armed services if it looks like major problem or danger exists. The President must have the authority to protect our Capitol at any time & not have to wait for someone else like Speaker of House to ask him for help. And why did not the VP Mike Pence have authority to ask for help for the Capitol Police that day?
