McConnellWASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) issued the following statement regarding power-sharing:

“Today two Democratic Senators publicly confirmed they will not vote to end the legislative filibuster. They agree with President Biden’s and my view that no Senate majority should destroy the right of future minorities of both parties to help shape legislation.

“The legislative filibuster was a key part of the foundation beneath the Senate’s last 50-50 power-sharing agreement in 2001. With these assurances, I look forward to moving ahead with a power-sharing agreement modeled on that precedent.”

Lets see how long those two Democrat Senators can hold out against the non-stop arm twisting they are in for from their fellow Democrat Senators and the DNC leadership. Should be interesting to watch.

Oh by the way, I wouldn’t put it past some of the usual RINOs in the Senate to vote with the Democrat members on this matter. Can’t bring myself to trust Romney and the rest of the Democrats in disguise RINOs to not vote against the wishes of McConnell just to show they can “compromise” and support Schumer.
