AMAC Exclusive – By Aaron Flanigan

Election in United States of America. Voter holds envelope in hand above vote ballot

Following a slew of questionable changes to election law and serious concerns about election integrity in recent campaign cycles, conservatives are now actively taking steps to secure American elections and restore the sanctity of the ballot box. One of the leading figures in that effort is AMAC Action Senior Vice President Andy Mangione, who outlined what the future of the fight for election integrity might look like in a recent interview with AMAC Newsline.

After the hysterical backlash on the left to common-sense election integrity laws in states like Georgia—as well as mounting liberal calls for the federalization of the election process—the need for a comprehensive and united conservative response has never been more obvious. Yet as Mangione explained, prior to the 2020 presidential race, there was no concerted effort on the right dedicated to combatting election fraud and ensuring public confidence in election outcomes.

“The left has been running circles around conservatives for decades. They’re extremely organized, they’re extremely well-funded—when it comes to working elections, when it comes to administering elections, and when it comes to just being involved in the overall process,” he said. In most jurisdictions, Mangione noted, the pool of poll workers and the poll watching process are dominated by the left, whereas many conservatives simply “don’t show up.”

Since the controversies of the 2020 election, however, Mangione has noticed that the conservative movement has become immensely more organized. “I’ve never seen conservatives more organized than they are today to combat voter fraud,” he said, commending heightened focus, energy, and scrutiny surrounding the issue.

Among the groups leading the charge, of course, has been AMAC Action. “Our [AMAC] members, after the 2020 election, put the issue of election integrity into our portfolio,” Mangione said. “We were set up to lobby on the federal level, and after the 2020 election, we found ourselves on the state level, because that’s where the battle is taking place”—recalling that AMAC members’ sincere concern for election security compelled the group to tap into the issue “with both feet.”

Mangione shared that AMAC Action has been “activating our members on election integrity issues” since early 2021, particularly on the state level.

He also cataloged some of the group’s key accomplishments from 2023, which include helping stop the advancement of ranked-choice voting in several states, preventing crossover voting between parties in primary elections, encouraging AMAC members to become election judges, emboldening members to partake in election integrity seminars in swing states, and promoting get-out-the-vote campaigns, among other major initiatives.

Specifically, Mangione mentioned AMAC members’ role in helping to pass a bill preventing inter-party crossover voting in Wyoming and staving off the threat of ranked-choice voting in presidential primaries in states like Illinois, Idaho, North Dakota, Montana, and North Carolina.

Mangione also discussed AMAC members’ role in fighting back against far-left federal election bills like the so-called “For the People” Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, both of which sought to deprive states of their power to run their own elections.

AMAC members “love their sacred right to vote—and they want it protected, and they want our elections protected,” Mangione said.

Looking forward to the November election, Mangione is confident that the coming races will have “more scrutiny upon them than ever before.” Election integrity, he continued, is now in the “national lexicon” in a way that it was not before.

This cycle, however, he said that conservatives need to focus on encouraging voters to replicate the left’s voting practices—most notably in the realm of early voting. Though the left will likely try to employ the same unscrupulous (and in some cases blatantly unconstitutional) voting procedures it used under the guise of COVID-19 precautions in 2020, Mangione said that conservatives can counter the left’s tactics by remaining “ever-vigilant” and not being afraid to take a page out of the Democrats’ playbook.

“It’s really simple stuff that the left does all the time,” he said, referring specifically to practices like poll watching, encouraging voter turnout, learning about local election processes, and respectfully pressing local election officials when questions or skepticism arise.

“Ask questions, and take ownership of the election,” he continued, stressing that conservative candidates also have a responsibility to invoke these messages in their campaigns—which are rooted in a love of our constitutional republic and a commitment to the preservation of American democracy. “Men and women have died so we can do this.”

As Election Day approaches, conservative voters must be poised to play a key role in saving American democracy and preserving the sanctity of the ballot box.

Elections should be handled the same way in ALL 50 states, no more mail-in ballots, everyone must present a valid photo id and provide a matching signature, no more several weeks to vote, EVERYONE off for national FEDERAL holiday to vote per Vivek’s recent statement, etc. etc. This will never happen though unless Republicans(minus the RINO’s) have the White House, Congress and the Senate in a SUPER MAJORITY.

You better FOCUS on Pennsylvania real hard!!! Call the Dem’s out now!!! Because that’s where Biden is spending lots of time! And nobody anywhere in PA. is so far challenging the Left on sending out paper ballots. Shapiro LOVES them!
All the big cities… PHILLY, HARRISBURG, PITTSBURGH, and others are strongholds for ballot harvesting and vote counting shenanigans!
Oh and don’t forget that The League of Women Voters across the country, and in PA. are the group that controls the voting places! And they’re entirely leftist!
Last election I went to bed around 1AM, feeling good about President Trump in PA! He had a sizable national lead as well!! Woke up the next day to see a grinning Alzheimer’s patient as our next President!
Better wise up Republicans nation wide….cause this time they’re going to do stuff you’ve never anticipated before!!
Mark my words!!!!! Do you really think they’re going to give up the power they have now???

Have people from both parties present when receiving and counting votes at all times. Dem’s and Republicans not allowed in counting rooms without other party being present along with prof of being a US citizen with a recognizable address. I understand that the people coming over our border are receiving drivers licenses — I hope that is not true, if it is,how will we know if they came here illegally?

Eliminate mail-in balloting and the unsecured ballot drop boxes and illegal ballot harvesting. Eliminate Dominion tabulation machines.
Demand voter ID, paper ballots. Clean up the voter rolls. In person voting no early voting. Stricter rules for chain of custody. If poll observers are sent home, any ballots counted after they gone should be thrown out void and nullified. Make it a felony to run ballots through multiple times and to could ballots when poll observers are not present.

LEGISLATION IS REQUIRED. Those states that allow illegal aliens to vote in local elections have a problem. ME. You probably didn’t think about this but follow along. Lets say this guy 1 and gal 2 running for town council, Guy 1 is Mexican American, while gal2 is Chinese American. BOTH WIN and are popular because they represent a Mexican community and a Chinese community respectively. Now guy 1 decides to run for State Rep. And gal 2 is running for State senate. The problem is that the communities that elected them allow illegals to vote so these elected officials jobs are tainted due to being mixed with votes not allowed for state jobs. So, State and Federal elected positions cannot be won if tainted with illegal votes. To conclude, If a career is promoted to a stature close to that of representative but to get there he couldn’t have done it without the illegals votes that got him and her their start in the beginning town council job. Understand this. One day California a state that allows illegals to vote will try to send someone to Washington as a rep. We need a strategy to reject these people that have achieved higher office with the help of illegals votes. RUNNING FOR HIGHER OFFICE ON A CAREER OF ILLEGALS VOTES IS A CAREER ENDER …..After winning as village clerk with 5,000 votes from non citizen. This person cannot be allowed to run for a state office or any other office in government since his career is based on having won with unconstitutional votes.
GOOD LUCK Mr. Henry.
Imagine the dumb schmuck that wants to be MAYOR of NYC one day. He worked his butt off for 20 yrs IN LOCAL ELECTIONS, Now he is Mayor of a city but dreams of being MAYOR of NYC. HE IS THE FAVORITE OF HIS IMMIGRANT COMMUNITY AND FOR DECADES THEY VOTED FOR HIM EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE NOT CITIZENS. I do not believe his career should advance since his success is based on illegal votes. SO A GOOD PERSON, AN HONEST CITIZEN WHO WANT’S A CAREER IN GOVERNMENT SHOULD RECONSIDER THIS AGENDA OF NON CITIZEN VOTES TO AVOID A FUTURE ELECTION OPPORTUNITY THAT WILL BE DENIED DUE TO UNCONSTITUTIONAL ELECTIONS.

It’s 100% obvious that you are a troll with little education and no capability of processing logical thought. Why don’t you just go back to AARP where you can agree with all of the socialists?

What a weak article. There are groups that are actually in the fight to secure our elections. True The Vote (TTV) and Election Integrity Project California (EIPca). are but two that are in the fore front. Judicial Watch has taken on California with EIPca data and won. TTV has also won court cases against State illegal practices. Find a group in your area to join in the fight to secure our elections. The covert changing of our voting laws to make illegal practices legal have weakened your vote and opened the door to corruption. Make every legal vote count.

And now the socialists need to get all the illegal aliens registered to vote. We already need to get enhanced drivers licences just to prove we are American citizens!

One of the most important ways to secure an election is to double-check the results of the voter tabulation machines. This can be done by hand tabulating a statistically significant same of ballots, but that is seldom done due to time constraints. A better way is to contract with an independent voter tabulation firm that can quickly re-tabulate a larger sample of ballots and compare those results to the original tabulations. Otherwise, it is far too easy to “hack into” the computerized voter tabulation programs.

Election integrity starts with biometric voter ID for eligible citizens only. It MUST also include no universally mailed/unrequested ballots (requested and validated absentee ballots as the only mail-ins), no ballot harvesting, no late voting (must be postmarked by election day, no votes counted or cast afterwards), annual purging and verification of the voter rolls, and equally bipartisan of poll workers and poll watchers.

I just don’t see it. I don’t see the people who can really get voting fraud under control, Republican and Conservative members of congress, doing much about it. if they are, not much is being said about it. There are a number changes to the voting process that needed to be done yesterday. People need to show proof that they are a US citizen to be able to register to vote. Every legal, registered voter should be issued voter ID card with a unique QR code that assures no duplicate votes are cast. The only mail-in ballots that should be allowed are absentee ballots specifically requested by a legally registered voter. No unsolicited mail-in ballots should not be allowed. The technology exists that would allow military members, their family members and other government workers overseas to vote by machine in real time. Equipment exists today that allows voice, data and video to be transmitted from battle fields to the pentagon allowing top brass in the pentagon to see what is going during a battle in real time in other countries. It’s just like being there. The same equipment allows military members to communicate with families via video and voice from bases overseas and from ships at sea. If that can be done then voting machines can be set up on bases and ships. Our Republican and Conservative members of congress are not doing as much about fixing the problem as Democrat and Liberal members of congress are doing to keeping the fraud and cheating to go on. If Republican and Conservative members of congress are working on the problem, nothing is being said about it. If Democrats are allowed to get away with it again in 2024, America as we know it will be over. Our children’s children and their offspring in the future will be living in poverty with no rights like those in Venezuela, North Korea and other third world countries.
