So, according to the legacy media, disaster is about to befall America.

Former President Donald Trump is the overwhelming favorite to win the Republican presidential nomination: The latest Des Moines Register/NBC News poll shows Trump at 51% in Iowa, up 8% since October, with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in a distant second at 19% and Nikki Haley at 16%. According to analyst Steve Kornacki, there is an enthusiasm gap in favor of Trump: 70% of Trump supporters say their minds are made up. He is currently at 72% favorability with Iowa caucusgoers.

In the general, Trump is also up. And he’s not up by a small margin. He is up significantly.

Donald Trump, if the election were held today, would become president of the United States. According to a Wall Street Journal poll over the weekend, Trump leads President Joe Biden 47% to 43% in the national polls; if third-party and independent candidates enter the mix, that lead jumps to six points, 37% to 31%. What’s more, according to the latest CNN poll, Trump leads Biden by 10 points in Michigan; he leads by five in Georgia.

There are two reasons for this.

First, Joe Biden is terribly, terribly unpopular. That same Wall Street Journal poll shows that just 23% of voters say Biden’s policies have helped them personally, compared to 53% who say his policies have hurt them. Meanwhile, half of voters say that Trump’s policies helped them versus 37% who say they hurt. Biden’s job performance is at 37% approval and 61% disapproval; just 30% of voters like Bidenomics.

That condition is unlikely to alleviate for Biden before the election. It is, according to The Wall Street Journal, “less affordable than any time in recent history to buy a home, and the math isn’t changing any time soon.” Average new home payments currently stand at $3,322, up from $1,746 at the end of 2020. What’s more, Biden’s supposed soft landing doesn’t look particularly likely to happen, despite the happy talk from the media. November job growth was weak — which is what the Fed was looking for when they raised interest rates in order to tamp down inflation. But that job growth was only even in “weak” territory because of health care, government employment, and leisure and hospitality. In fact, those three sectors plus private education employment are responsible for 81% of all jobs created in 2023. Business starts are weak. Gross output — a measure of the entire economy, not merely the spending side that we see in gross domestic product — has flatlined. In the fir!

At two quarters of the year, business spending dropped 9%.

Biden’s team keeps trying to whistle their way past the graveyard on his candidacy. The literal graveyard. According to Semafor’s Ben Smith, at the White House holiday party, Biden “strayed into a couple of hazy monologues, which ended only when his wife interrupted him to remind him it was a party. His speech wasn’t terrible, or even noteworthy. But everyone in the room realized Biden had a simple rhetorical job and hadn’t quite pulled it off.”

That’s right: Joe Biden literally couldn’t get through a holiday speech at the White House.

This brings us to the second reason Trump is leading Biden in the polls right now: he’s not in the news. That’s also the reason he’s up in Iowa head and shoulders above the rest of the candidates. Because he’s not in the news, he’s beating Biden — that takes the electability argument away from DeSantis and Haley. And because he’s not in the news, everyone has been able to look away from Trump’s crazy, which has always been his Achilles heel. Ironically, one of the best things ever to happen to Trump politically was his social media ban: it has made him nearly invisible.

So, here’s the question: Will things stay this way?

Biden’s approval ratings are unlikely to recover from where they are now. The economy is in tender shape. The Ukraine war is going badly. Israel is going to have to continue its war not only against Hamas but against Hezbollah and possibly the Yemeni Houthis.

Which means Biden’s only hope is putting Trump front and center. That could happen via Trump’s criminal trials — but that may be largely baked into the Trump cake at this point. Would even a conviction radically shift people’s opinions on Trump?

Today’s Trump advantage is no mere chimera. It may just be the 2024 reality. Which is why the media and Democrats are panicking, and they should be.

President Trump is winning because he has an ACTUAL track record that worked. Also, he isn’t a career politician. Both qualities (and the fact that he actually loves this country) are exactly what we need to save this nation. Only God can save America now but HE can use individuals like President Trump to carry out HIS will.

The Ukraine war is going badly. Israel is going to have to continue its war not only against Hamas but against Hezbollah and possibly the Yemeni Houthis. As well as the scummy liberal democrats in the US who hate anything not of the proper color, religion etc. not to mention scores of brainwashed college snowflakes and their presidents.

There is some truth to the benefit that Trump receives by being out of the spotlight. He has been wise to avoid the repub debates. Trump benefits by keeping Biden’s stumblesand poor decisions and bribery charges at the forefront. Let Biden do the media work

We think very few people have any credence in the liberal scum who are ‘out to get’ Trump by any means possible. They are corrupt, extremely partisan, and give new meaning to the word ‘biased.’ They defame our justice system… just like the progressives are sliming everything about our once great country. We are amazed how Trump, at his advancing age, has stood up to this constant and mostly unjustified harassment. Something has to give. We are ‘older,’ and have never seen such a mess. Bill Clinton, Hillary, Gennifer Flowers and Monica Lewinsky are small potatoes compared to the shameless ilk that are G-g-grampa Joe, Hunter, ‘Dr.’ Jill, that whole criminal family, and oh yes, the cackling ‘Ho.’

It is incredible that some Americans are oblivious about what is going to this blessed country on the hands of the progressives, ignorant, or pretending to be, of the achievements of the previous president, stupid in accepting the lies and exaggerations of the propagandistic media, and hateful of the MAGA president to vote the present extremely corrupt, imbecile, liar, good for nothing, mentally ill, incompetent political nobody in the 2020 election for president of the USA.
Thank you!! to all of those who put this guy up there in the white house to bring us the worst of the long list of extremely terrible presidents from the progressive side. We have to get this president, the Demon-crats, and the swampy group of Republicans and RINOs out of government and get us truthful, patriotic, American loving, God believers, from all aspects of American life, not only lawyers, to conduct the political world of this country.
America should educate the future generations with the true history, soul, culture, faith and hope that inspired, convinced and made real the dream of our founding fathers. We need to teach our children that preserving our past and learning from our mistakes and doing our best to keep this nation, the land to which, basically, the whole world wants to come, the beacon of what America is.
This is the country that from its inception has become the goodness of the world. Sure we have made all kinds of errors and mistakes but despite those people from every corner of earth wants to be here even those who proclaim to hate us because when they have unexpected life threating situations where do you think they want to scape to?
So, I understand that Mr. Trump is not the panacea to the present problems afflicting our country but, dear friends, at present time he is the only one with the credentials to get rid of a good number of them. None of those present candidates running to become the 47th president of USA have convincing, real character and message of what they have to offer to our country. One of them is the only that might be comparable to Mr. Trump but the others are simple political yellers and a business man that still needs to get more honing for a future possibility of getting into the main house of the land.
All of those capable of understanding, reasoning, comprehending of what is going on with Mr. Trump are capable of seeing through the fog of lies, hate, complot, irrational maneuvers, and misleading against him because the opposition is horrified, pooing in their pants, having nightmares about the possible reality of having him back in command of the nations affairs.
Yes, that is the reason why those called “basket of deplorables”, “white supremacists”, “MAGA radicals”, etc. are staunch supporters and loyal to Mr. President Trump. The man said that he will do it and he did it.

Sorry to be negative, but I don’t believe there will ever be another Republican Pres. The Democrats have learned how to cheat and get away with it. This next election will, in my opinion, prove this. It’s a sad time for America; we are actually another banana republic, we just don’t know it, yet.

As a 74 year old American, I find it interesting that I have never been polled even once by anyone. I’m a home owner, a vet, a tax payer, licensed, insured and worked until 72 when I started collecting SS, 2 retirement checks and VA benefits. I’m your average American. So, who do these polls represent- not me obviously. You guys are all smoke and mirrors. The GOP better wise up, a “no show” is a vote against us. I’d never vote for Biden. But we’re going to need everyone to vote to beat him and that ain’t going to happen with Trump. I voted for him twice but after Jan 6, never again.
